  1. Fabulous, one of the few Rick models with Maple board. Might just have to put something up for sale 🙄😆
  2. You have a John Torres neck, you are a lucky man! The sticker that is in the neck pocket (serial number) should be on the back of the scratchplate. The 'plate may not be original, but I would have expected black anyway. Cracking bass, enjoy.
  3. Perhaps you might like to clarify facts before you accuse. I put my Futurama in a skip a couple of decades ago.
  4. WHY I BOUGHT IT. I bought the Precision first, because I loved the simplistic look of two knobs & no scratchplate. I like matching headstock & 12" radius. I also liked the arm chamfer, bridge & binding. The big surprise was the pickups. I have never played a previous model Aerodyne with pickups I would consider good. The P has fabulous pickups. Powerful good range and a delicious thump. I hoped the Jazz would be as good as it has the same features. It is indeed a belter. WHY I'M SELLING IT. After a recent purchase, I now have Jazzes in American Deluxe, Elite & Ultra. And this one. SALE PRICE/TRADE PRICE £850 cash, £950 trade, No offers thanks, I'm taking a big hit on this, in a short time. A week after I bought it I was taken in for surgery, so had little chance to use it. It's as new. These were released late 2022, this was bought new April 2023 COURIER I will box it up safely & await a courier, buyer to organise & pay for (including insurance). LINK TO SPECS BELOW (weight of this one is bang on 9lbs on my luggage scales). Their photos are better than any I'd take. https://www.dv247.com/en_GB/GBP/Fender-Made-in-Japan-Aerodyne-Special-Jazz-Bass-MN-California-Blue/art-BAS0012272-000?campaign=GShopping/GB&ProgramUUID=HADAqJarPzAAAAFlea9yjI.G&campaign=GShopping/UK&ProgramUUID=HADAqJarPzAAAAFlea9yjI.G&gclid=Cj0KCQjwnMWkBhDLARIsAHBOftp1C_2kwzSTPEnkpkZF7pTQB0BUeUiTBzZfVaVdoZ6kvXl7gIDZ26QaAvxXEALw_wcB
  5. AHH, thanks your Lordship. FSR, Factory Special Run.
  6. I'd try if I knew what TLA was?😆
  7. Horses for courses I guess. I really like the simple basic look without scratch plate. The big thing for me with the recent FSR is the pickups are so much better than the lackluster ones previous Aerodynes have had. Only opinions borne of my own experience.
  8. Yet another superb ambassador for Basschat, Mark has been an absolute joy to deal with. Great comms, packaging, item even better than described, sent & received very quickly. Fully recommended. Thanks for everything Mark, much appreciated.
  9. Don't know if the link will work, but new band, recorded on iPhone last Saturday, our first gig together. Cobbled together showreel. These FSR models have MUCH better pickups than ANY Aerodyne (or indeed Fender Japan basses) I've had before. My Cal Blue Jazz was lurking behind the back drop, if anything it plays even better than the P. I love them both, fabulous basses for what I need. Try video again
  10. I was guardian of this fabulous bass for a good while. Hmm. Looks like it's gone, someone is going to get very lucky.
  11. Perhaps your predictive text is mixing your Ultimate with Fender's Ultra. Lovely bass.
  12. Thanks for the reply. I have no trade I would have been looking at cash.
  13. Does this include the original Fender branded hard case?
  14. LOVING that, great mods. This is the most tempting of 3 excellent P's up at the moment 🤔
  15. Negative. The P neck dives a little however my inner arm is over the body when playing and this negates most of that slight issue. I'm not keen on the look of the Jazz's tone/vol controls. Positives. Both are quite light, I love the simplistic no scratchplate look especially with colour matching headstock. 12" board radius is great and sets up beautifully, torque adjustable tuners, MOP effect markers, medium jumbo frets (don't like like narrow tall). The BIG thing is the new "vintage voiced" pickups are FAR superior to any on the previous model Aerodynes I have owned/played. These basses sound excellent (to my taste) with no effects & flat EQ. Very impressed with them, great package but I'm not sure the P is long term simply because of nut width. We'll see.
  16. Friday night was St. Patrick's day lunacy with beer spilt on monitors, pedalboards (not mine I don't use pedals of any description) and a bent mic stand which surprisingly failed gto stop a 16 stone punter hitting the deck. Saturday night was Dormans Club (ex British Steel works club) a place I could use the two new girls again, in safety. Suffice it to say Friday night's gig was more rewarding in dancing punters than Saturday nights.
  17. Taiwan. Fabulous basses and I'm not looking again until sold is in the title, my wallet's gone white with fear 😆
  18. John Torres one of the greatest Fender neck guys!
  19. I'm 6' 1" and I still have to get a taxi to the low F on a T'Bird.
  20. Really sorry but you're actually 5th in the queue. Apologies.
  21. Bass Collection Power Bass 2020, made in Korea. 40mm nut, fast shallow neck, super condition, any "dinks" are the light playing tricks. Weight 9lb. Decent gig bag included. Big saving on new. Astonishingly good P type bass with great tonal sweep on the pickup. Since I got it, it's become my main gigging P. The bridge alone appears to be around £140 https://www.basscentre.com/bass-collection-power-bass.html REASON FOR SALE, I'm going to commission a white one, with maple board, mirror 'plate & Babicz. No trades thanks. £350 collected from Darlington. £380 couriered mainland UK. If you are interested please be decisive, cos I ain't on this one. It's a great bass and I'm not sure I'm doing the right thing. Feedback available, thanks for looking.
  22. Post soundcheck & ready for action last night.
