  1. Fabulous job discreet, looks bloody amazing! 1st refusal when you flog it 😃. Congrats.
  2. In fairness if they buy any components in dollars they will have been taking a hit for the last 18 months or so. That is speaking from experience 😢
  3. Bit of fun is all. I needed some new footwear for gigs & just couldn't resist. I look forward to the barracking from my band "mates" when yon booties turn up
  4. Hope this works https://www.streetment.com/collections/shoes/products/bass-guitar-shoes-2 Oh, & I got a "lucky draw" 10% discount
  5. There's one on a Faecesbook page at the moment, £525 inc Genzler gig bag. Very good price imo. https://www.facebook.com/groups/298259546971359/permalink/1184941034969868/?sale_post_id=1184941034969868
  6. Not for me. Guitarist in my band before last (I did 5.5 years with them), had an Artisan head & had frequent problems with it. He wasn't happy!
  7. Not helping the "walk away" thing are you Mr Pickguard
  8. Fender 3TS Road Worn 60's Jazz, a 2008 serial number so would have been made in preparation for launch at NAMM 2009. Sorry but that is the price I require (sort your own courier if required). This bass would have been just over £900 new. They are now £1340 & the new ones have Pau Ferro boards. The used Sunbursts don't appear to come up as often as the Fiesta Red. Original gig bag long since gone, comes with a good GnR gigbag. Weight is 8lb 2ozs. Only trades (as I would need to sell something else) would be post 2012 Maple board Precision ( with original Custom Shop pups). Feedback below, much prefer Wigan collect, or meet within 60 miles. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl.
  9. OOOFT Desperately trying not to. Can I use "no height adjustment on bridge" to convince myself to walk away? https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Epiphone-Thunderbird-Vintage-Pro-Electric-Bass-Alpine-White/1X0O?origin=product-ads&utm_campaign=PLA+Shop+-+Epiphone&utm_medium=vertical_search&network=google&adgroup=2+-+Brand+Level+-+Epiphone&merchant_id=1279443&product_id=89448d1&product_country=GB&product_partition_id=87897988879&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2NXTBRDoARIsAJRIvLzIXWgZqhZGwPhlu4phn5slsN4wW1o0HfOPkpyhrdg6kcPdCSGMMBQaArE-EALw_wcB
  10. Oops. It was your excellent video review that swung it for me Dan. How could I forget that https://www.guitarinteractivemagazine.com/issues/issue-54/reviews/genzler-magellan-800-amplifier/#
  11. Yup, lots of exceptions, usually based around "hard to find". I shouldn't really have made such a generalisation.
  12. Damo, it's rarely worth it nowadays mate.
  13. Streamliner (IMO) always needed bass rolling back to about 9 o'clock. Just got a Magellan, impressed with it, very versatile, between clean/drive/contour & eq points. Bit of a thread here.
  14. Pick ups on these have a surprisingly good tonal range. Only issue I've had is a personal dislike of the neck dimensions.
  15. Astonishingly good amps, great price, great bloke. Shame you hadn't put it up last week Dan, ie before I got the Magellan Surprised it's still available tbh, GLWTS
  16. Yet another great transaction with the wonderful Dunc. Top class bloke, just so easy to deal with. Wholeheartedly recommended as one of the very best. Think I'm going to have to sort him a customer loyalty card
  17. That, sir, is a bleedin' steal! Everyone of these I've had has been excellent.
  18. No interest in 5's. Just a personal thing but imo these new 5's would look much better without the scratchplate. I have always loved the looks/sounds of 4001/4003. When I used to play with pick, no issues. Now I play with fingers, there is just too much ironmongery around. For those who haven't played them, the 4004 (especially with flats) is imo a fabulous bass guitar. So wish I hadn't sold my 2
  19. No Harry, sold yours, regretted it, bought another, ended up with 8 basses (again!) now selling some on.
