  1. That, sir, is a bleedin' steal! Everyone of these I've had has been excellent.
  2. Be nice to see a review chaps .
  3. No interest in 5's. Just a personal thing but imo these new 5's would look much better without the scratchplate. I have always loved the looks/sounds of 4001/4003. When I used to play with pick, no issues. Now I play with fingers, there is just too much ironmongery around. For those who haven't played them, the 4004 (especially with flats) is imo a fabulous bass guitar. So wish I hadn't sold my 2
  4. No Harry, sold yours, regretted it, bought another, ended up with 8 basses (again!) now selling some on.
  5. On hold until Monday eve folks, thanks for the enquiries.
  6. Some small dints, very good condition. Sorry, no gig bag or case. Lovely light bass, the pick up is a lot more versatile than you might think (especially though a powerful rig!). https://www.gak.co.uk/en/squier-squier-classic-vibe-precision-bass-50s-butterscotch-blonde-maple/49438?gclid=CjwKCAiA47DTBRAUEiwA4luU2dWHQNKdbpYPZdzeC5aD2AJ35M9K2_Fbz42i4dxP5uyPYGa2DlsfRRoCRGcQAvD_BwE Discontinued. You will see her in varying states of attire, she will be sold fully covered (and yes I KNOW they aren't the correct covers thank you ). Collection from Wigan only I'm afraid, I don't have the time or the materials to send. Feedback linked below, thanks for looking, Karl.
  7. Oh dear, they do a black one of these And a P Bird, equal
  8. Excellent condition, 1000 watts at both 4 & 8 ohms (switch on back). Original Orange handbag included. Would prefer collection from Wigan, or meet within about 30 miles/ Any trial in Wigan, my feedback linked below. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl.
  9. £650 collected from Wigan this weekend. If it doesn't go I will remove & sell something else, cheers, Karl.
  10. And a final bump I think. Been up two weeks, the initial flurry of interest has gone, probably time to just let the ad die now . Can only assume LACQUER crack has put people off as it really is (imo) an excellent price for one of these.
  11. Certainly have some points there. I own an American Dimension Deluxe 1V HH. The neck is asymmetrical thicker at back than front. The compound radius board combines with that to make THE fastest neck I've ever played. The pup selector switch is so simple, pre amp is great, the pups go from smooth to aggressive. Nothing exactly revolutionary but a tremendous bass to play. The only reason I don't gig it more is because I prefer passive. Nonetheless, it's my 1st choice for home noodling
  12. He's a bit strange this 'un. Apart from being deluded about the value of it, his tactics are strange. It was up twice at £1500, then a couple of times at £1100, then three times at £950. Obviously he's had no bids. So, no bids at £950 (at least £150 more than they are going for), think I'll put it out at £2k Think I'll put my Am Deluxe out at £1500
  13. I remember doing a gig in Brecon, my derrière is still sore
  14. Careful mind, that mcnach geezer roams those parts
  15. Been to Gretna, Ecclefechan, Edingburgh on bass road trips Hutton, so it's not out of the question
  16. Cost of insured courier on bass sized stuff has pretty much doubled in the last 18 months. It (to me) has become a prohibitive amount to ask a buyer for. I'm also usually prepared to meet half way though
  17. Thanks John, lovely active Precision bass special Deluxe Series you have there! Think I'm going to tie this bass to the back of the van, drag it up the M6 for an hour, call it Road Worn and slap a couple hundred extra quid on it
  18. Hell's bells, page 6 in two days I'm away at meetings in Sweden for 3 days. Hope I can find the ad when I get back
  19. So do I. Oh well
  20. Just browsing & came across this. Mine is the earlier version, 2014, the American Deluxe HH 1V. On the lower side of "medium" weight, perfect balance. The 5 position Strat style selector switch is a pretty good idea, especially with Vol then treb/mid/bass cut/boost, although I'm still not a fan of actives. Lot of tonal variations. Wasted on me, I only use 2! It is beautifully built & superbly finished. Now, the neck on this expensive beast (the replacement Elites are pushing £2k). Oiled neck finish, graphite strengthening, truss rod wheel. Normal 1.62 nut, lovely maple board BUT 9.5 radius at the playing end, 14" at dusty end. The back of the neck is deeper on the bass side, shallower on treble. I have NEVER EVER played a neck that encourages flying around on it as much as this one does. It just seems to make chords, tapping etc, so much easier & accurate. If only I had the stones to make such a delicious & expensive beauty passive
  21. Ditch that crap black scratchplate Jose. And sell it to me Good work (as ever) by the way.
