1. Excellent condition, 1 ding on headstock, won't show in photos. Hand built at Gibson's Memphis, Tennessee factory. The Gibson ES-335 bass is built to the original carving specifications, and updates the electronics with a pair of warm, crisp humbuckers. Pre pack inspection Jan 21st 2014. The neck on the Gibson ES-335 electric bass is carved from a single piece of quarter-sawn maple, 34-inch scale length. Set neck, 41mm nut, all-rosewood fingerboard, and inlaid on 8 frets with traditional white dot inlays. This ltd edition is cut to the exact original body specs, with all-maple arched top and sides, and the 1961-style maple centerblock. Weight is just over 9lb. Unlike the originals the neck pup has been moved to centre position, giving more definition than the originals "mudbucker". The humbucker in the bridge position instantly delivers that big percussive sound characteristic of Gibson's semi-hollowbody basses. Separate Volume and Tone pots on each pickup, 3 way toggle switch The 3 point bridge has been replaced by a Babicz full contact. I DON'T have the original bridge, you can find them used for about £30. It's a pig to photo so there's one from Chicago in there as well. - 100 percent American Made in Memphis, TN TRADES American Jazz Deluxe 2014 onwards. Any trial in Wigan. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl.
2. Absolute steal Steve. If you weren't so far away, it would be mine (and put back to original & the upgrades flogged ). GLWTS
3. Timing, always bloody timing I've agreed to trade my Hot Rod for a Gibson Memphis ES335 bass (+some loot, it's more expensive than the Hot Rod). So, for the next week or two, no loot
4. Over 30 trade offers, 3 people fund raising, but finally tempted by a trade
5. Over 20 basses offered in trade, some a little more realistic than others . 4 people fundraising to buy this. Still here though. Probably going to remove if it's still here next weekend as it would appear this uncommon bass is not quite desirable enough for folk to bite the bullet.
6. Not the only one. My ad for Fender American Hot Rod has vanished (reported to MB1 & Ped last night). Looks like Black Coffee had an incident with his Steve Harris as well. Wonder if the word "trade" is significant. I know I'm up to date with my £20
7. £800 with TATTY GIGBAG rather than hardcase. You won't see many of these this year. Still have a few bob towards the right jazz as well.
8. It's a normal Jazz Bass Deluxe, from 2006. Very nice. 2006 was Fender's 60th anniversary (the Jazz didn't come along until 1961), most of Fenders instruments had the 60th Anniversary sticker/badge in 2006. GLWTS
9. All pm's replied & sold. Thanks for all the interest folks, cheers, Karl.
10. Cheers Foxy, very kind. On my radar but I need to sell something 1st
11. Any trial in Wigan. Sunset Orange Transluscent (a pig to photo) American Standard Precision, 2006 , Ash body, Maple board. They look MUCH better with a black plate rather than parchment. Relatively light for Ash at 9lbs 1oz. Good condition, a few cymbal nibbles, slight (certain light) scratching on the back. S1 model, graphite rods, 41.3mm nut. No case, just one of them crappy Fender Deluxe gigbags, that the pocket zips go on (main zip is fine). Feedback below, any trial in Wigan. Can't courier at the moment, so would need to be a meet up I'm afraid. TRADES!!! Fender Road Worn Jazz Fender Road Worn "Flea" Jazz. Nothing else PLEASE. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl.
12. Cheers Dunc This could have been sold half a dozen times over, but as stated in the initial post, I am sadly not in a position to courier at the moment.
13. All further PM's, offers replied to thanks. Still currently here.
14. Great price for a Master Built, glorious looking bass
15.
I made the offer. To be fair I thought my mother in law still had some mileage in her.
In many ways she did, lovely shade of Daphne Blue. But the plywood teeth Seriously though, more trade offers but none of the basses I require.
16. Actually Rich, Paul's offer is one of the more sensible ones
17. Thanks Stu. I've only seen the Hot Rodded (skunk stripe) in black, but looks like there are one or two of the original Hot Rods in the UK. Right, after 14 trade offers, none of which were 2013-2016 Deluxe Jazzes (+ I have£100 or so) or even USA 75 RI's , I think I need to make this sale only.
