1. Wonderful amps. Bargain price. This really should not be here long
2.
Open to amp trades?
Not really as I already have 2 superb amps. I could be tempted by Genz Benz Streamliner 900 or TecAmp PUMA 500/900. They would need to be in very good condition. Cheers, Karl.
3. That's a bit tempting. Sorry too be that guy (lie ) but erm string tree.
4. Amp as new, as far as I can see. This lot would be £710 new. Great clean sound but can get real grind/drive in, via blender & drive controls. This is footswitchable (footswitch not included but the Orange FS1 is around £28). Loud. Oh yes, loud. Head weighs 22lb without the case. NO OFFERS, this is a bleedin' bargain. I might consider bass trades. £400 collected from Wigan or meet within 30 miles of Wigan. Courier. UK only. Buyer will need to source & pay, at their risk. My feedback says it will leave me in the condition I say it is. Any trial in Wigan. If it doesn't go I'll keep it. I'll struggle to get anything better for £400. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. Quote from an independant review. "The Verdict It’s relatively new, but Orange’s OB1-500 should already be considered one of the company’s standout offerings. It has an abundance of both clean and crass bass tones on tap, and while it might not completely placate the tube obsessed, the amp’s all-analog signal path is a welcome alternative to today’s class-D frenzy. Some might balk at the steep price, but the OB1-500’s tonal rewards outstrip many of its contemporary counterparts. If you’re seeking a responsive, powerful amp that gives a finger (or two, if you’re in the U.K.) to modern amp design, the OB1-500 is certainly worth a spin."
5. Ash, geezer named Danny Shorten, looking on this Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/184621401586617/ Think it's that bass he's looking for.
6.
Try this; https://youtu.be/NkHy0fVbtUU
Good man, merky buckets
7.
I've reviewed both the SL and SLS models.
Buggered if I can find the SLS head review Dan
8. Laney has never seemed to get much love here, but I remember over 40 years ago, going to see Sabbath, there was much Laneyness. They are still around, which says something. So, anybody tried/got one of these little fellas? http://www.laney.co.uk/products/nexus-sls/ Couple of interesting features.
9. Terrific amps. One amp through a Midget, one through a Compact
10. Cracking idea Jack, thanks for that. I've been fishing for 50 years this very week (9 year old, went with my best mate 1st week of school hols 1967). I'd still never have thought of that though .
11. Typical For weeks I've been trying to sort a deal for one of these, with a Precision. Now I'm out of tradeable Precisions
12.
Bump!
Many thanks Bermp.
13. Thanks guys. I'm really looking for something along the lines of the handbag for the Orange Bass Terror, or Markbass TTE, sorta sports bag thing.
14. Many thanks chaps, appreciated
15. Currently lugging a splendid Orange OB1-500 in a shallow rack case that appears to be made of dark matter. I don't really want one of the fabric rack cases, I'd rather just have a protected carry/gig bag that the head can go in & out of. I'm sure some of you splendid peeps will have risen to this challenge in the past. Ta in anticipation, Karl.
16.
I'd be all over this had I not picked up a 2x12 TB combo last month. Cracking amps. Have a bump on me.
Many thanks Nick This is likely to be gone tonight. What I don't get is the lack of interest in the OB1-500. Not just on my sale thread, but generally in the big bad world of bass playing. It's actually a far more versatile & more powerful amp than the OBT. That drive stuff on the right hand side of the amp can make it fearful Perhaps it's because it weighs a staggering 22lbs Sold thanks.
17. Cameron, open an account on something like ImgBB. Then copy & paste to here. Even a coffin dodger like me can manage that. Sort of
18. I had a Dusty Tribute and was ALWAYS mystified, that tuning the G string nowt happened. Them fun upside down tuners . Steve, THAT LOOKS FABULOUS It looks like one of my Oranges is going, so may well be having a chat if it's still here next week. Unlikely
19. Cheers Ian Scotland/NW England contingent, I'm up to Blantyre Sat, Glasgow Sunday, so happy to plan a meet if required
20. Withdrawn.
21.
Can see why there is a market for fakers, I was in PMT at the weekend and stood gaping at the price of a real jetglow 4003 (admittedly a LH model) - just short of £2900 I'm not sure I dare take mine out gigging now without reviewing my insurance....
Maple board with black check Chamfered top, belly cut check Easily adjustable bridge check (although it's going to get a black one) Very light weight check Change from £400 delivered check Half a 50's Cadillac wrapped round bridge pick up uncheck
22. I believe it wer young Britney wot said " oops I did it again".
23. 500 watts 4 or 8 ohm switch, excellent condition. With original case. I have another amp for sale elsewhere, whichever goes 1st, I keep the other. In Wigan. Any trial. Thanks for looking, feedback linked below, cheers, Karl.
