  1. The perfect Precision imo. If it's still around when my Rick is sold....................... GLWTS David.
  2. 9lb 2oz. As you'll know David, they are Maple & Maple doesn't do light (ask Steve Harris 😁).
  3. £1700, price is pre-haggled for buyer's convenience (they are £2.5k new now, if you can find one). This is the model without the sharp edged wrist slashing binding. 2 little dints, slightly sticky pick up selector switch, all reflected in price. Has the treble bezel pickup surround with thumbrest to make it easier for finger style. TRADE, I may take a Fender Elite/Ultra (Jazz or P), plus £250. Excuse photos, I can never get 'bursts even close. I might courier if buyer sorts it, I may meet halfway. No need to sell, just rarely use it. Thanks for looking.
  4. As always a pleasure to deal with this Basschat legend. Lozz is simply a great bloke who makes any sort of transaction simple. Hugely recommended. Thanks again mate.
  5. Always a pleasure dealing with Brian, we are serial offenders 😆. Great comms, instant payment, decisive, simply A+++++ Thanks again Brian, until the next time 😁
  6. I bought this bass wireless system 2 weeks ago because it was cheap & it works on 5.2 frequency so you don't get Joe Le Taxi interfering. Used it 1st time last night, 1st set, it worked perfectly well thank you, however; I never moved more than 3' from my amp. It just felt wrong, no cable, no attachment. I've resisted for a long time, I've tried it & told the band to bugger off, I'm staying tethered! And no, I don't practice at home, so it sells or goes in a drawer. £40 collected Darlington £45 posted https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/SubZero-Pocket-Guitar-Bug-Digital-Wireless-System/33F7
  7. Bought just before Christmas. Took the instruction book out & read it (call yourself a bloke? Huh). Anyway, took the scratchplate off the bass it was going into & discovered I'd have to take the connectors off or de-solder the pups. Instruction booklet put back in box, followed by much sulking. No offers thanks.
  8. Alas it's not a 4 either, great looking bass, 'av a bump.
  9. Rich has just relieved me of a bass. He made it very easy for me by coming to test & collect. Everything he said he'd do he did and the whole of the experience was very pleasant. A lovely honourable bloke to deal with and yet another terrific ambassador for Basschat, Enjoy the bass Rich & many thanks.
  10. Lovely lovely bass but not Custom Shop pups. These were a final FSR to run the previous model out before changing to the Custom Shop pups
  11. I think the original Rick versions were released as mirror versions (for right handers) of Macca's.
  12. Unlike you Clarky I don't have the life expectancy for patience 😆
  13. I was keen on this one but the seller never bothered to answer my question on neck dimensions. Great score NikNik, his work is indeed something to behold, that is fabulous. I keep thinking of asking him to do me a Sea Foam Green 4000 with gold hardware & 'plate, but I keep bottling it.
  14. Thanks Pete, much appreciated. Brian is aware 🙂
  15. I've done some more research on these. It appears there are 2 other PB70 US for sale in the UK although I'm not sure if they are PB70-70US or PB70-78US. Both are at FenderFever, both out at £1295 + shipping. One of the 2012 export block fretboards (originally £500 new) recently sold on Feebay at £950. In America, one the same as mine sold in Sept 21 for $1000. There is currently one up at $1595. Whilst none of this guarantees a price, with them being officially non export & apparently discontinued, the ravages of VAT, import duties & shipping may make them increasingly difficult to find. I'm leaving this up at this price until Sunday evening (15/1/23). After that, it will be removed & will reappear later this year at a minimum of £1000. Cheers, Karl.
  16. Neil bailed me out with a missing part for a Rick. Purchased Monday night, arrived Wednesday morning, superb!!!!! He was an absolute joy to deal with, fully recommended. Thanks for everything Neil, cheers.
  17. The PB70-70US & PB70-78US are both 40mm nut width. Mainly non-export but there are a decent number in the UK, popular for individuals & small guitar traders to import but VAT, import & shipping are becoming increasingly prohibitive. PB70 -70US = Precision Bass 70's style 70,000 Yen new, US pickups PB70-78US = Precision Bass 70's style 78,000 Yen new, US pickups (pic below)
  18. Surprisingly little realistic interest in this splendid bass despite some similarities to the Mexico Nate Mendel. I'll give it another week then put it away for a year or two, cheers, Karl.
  19. This with an Orange Little Bass Thing would be a destroyer of worlds. Superb cabs.
  20. Aww shucks Andy, too kind fella. The Bitcoin's in the post 😄
