1.
My old 1990 Jap 60's re issue, also had the brass strips under the pick up's. They should have earth wires soldered to them ?
It's a 62 reissue. As per real 62 Jazzes, there is an earthing strip running from bridge to bridge pickup, on the top of the body (see pic #3)..
2. Cheers Mark, very kind Nothing on bottom of either pups, but certainly well made. The foam is in super condition for a 21 year old bass. As are the brass?? strips on the bottom of the pups.
3. All PM'S now replied to thank you. One raised an interesting point (thanks Tim). Here is my reply; "I'm 99% convinced it's the JB62-US. However, without taking the neck off and looking to see what is stamped in the pocket, I cannot positively confirm that. Normally that would not be a problem, but I'm not going to this time. Simple reason is most basses that have had the neck off, have two lines of cracked paint where the neck is screwed back on too tightly. Been there, done that . This does not have the paint cracks and so I'm not going to risk it I'm afraid. As a result of that, I think I'm probably going to withdraw the bass. Many thanks for your interest, apologies, Karl. " SO, CURRENTLY still up for trade whilst I have a think. Cheers, Karl.
4.
To be fair, I had one of those 'lawsuit' Encores (i.e. Fender headstock shape), and it was as good as any Mexican Fender Still shouldn't be listed as it is though. Si
Sorry Mr. Global Moderator but that's opinionated rubbish . Have you played EVERY Mexican Fender?
5. Price is trade valuation only. Lovely Candy Apple Red jazz, 62 reissue Made by Fuji-Gen the 1st year they took over the Fender Japan production. 8. Actually Tom it's 8lb 2oz and it's too late I'm afraid fella. You really NEED to get your hands on a 2011/2016 Fender American Special, perfect for you fella.
9.
Damp wish I hadn't of said now that is one lovely bass
This is kinda on hold for a trade, with a couple of folk in back up positions. All the PM's have been replied to now, sorry for delays, lot of interest.
10. 11. I have a tentative possible trade agreement on this bass, however I'm sure the chap in question would prefer cash. So, 2002 (just before S1) very good condition body, the headstock has a few cymbal nibbles. If any interest, I will take some photos this evening and mail them to you. Frankly I have lost the will to live doing the take photos > trans to photobucket > trans to Basshat thread. And no I don't want to set a different host thing with more spam/ads/hacking. Feedback below, bass is in Wigan, any trial. Cheers, Karl.
12. Bargainacious cash price. Shame I have no cash PM's exchanged kinda bump.
13. Just had the pleasure of trading with Graeme, and pleasure it was. Decisive, reliable and just so easy to deal with. Fully recommended. Another excellent Basschat ambassador. Enjoy the bass Graeme and thanks for everything, cheers, Karl.
14.
Got a link? I can't see it on their website.
It's just on their stock list, not available for them to order yet.
15. Thanks folks. Putting this on hold as it's pretty much gone. Sorry, struggling to keep up with mail.
16. Hell's bells, I've been inundated guv Right, all pm's replied thanks. And to that guy , cash price is £550, which I consider to be decent, especially as they are now in most shops at £911.
17. At that weight it's going to be Alder I would think.
18. £600 is trade valuation, £550 cash collected/meet up. These basses are made slightly road worn. Nut width between Jazz and Precision at 40mm. Light at 8lbs. I have the spare neck plate and will include a decent DOUBLE gigbag with the bass. Still looking for Road Worn Jazz or a Flea and I have a few bob to put towards one. Feedback linked at bottom of post Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 19. Andertons have the 'Bird on their system, although not yet available. They have an initial price of £629, but say that may change (either way possibly) by the time they get them. I thought they might come in around £450. £629 for an (admittedly gorgeous) Epi is a bit too much for my liking.
20. PM's replied thanks folks. Thanks to Lozz196 one of these is on it's way. IF I sell/trade, it will be included (but not fitted at this moment). https://www.amazon.c...x/dp/B007VE7W5Y Seems Telecasters get this done, A LOT Cheers Lozz, appreciated.
