1. Beauty of the Orange Bass Terror is it has 4ohm/8ohm selector switch on the back.
2. Is nobody having a rant about Metallica ticket prices?
3. Al bought a bass off me. His first transaction on here. Paid very quickly, great comms, absolute pleasure to deal with. Fully recommended, deal with confidence. Thanks Al, enjoy the bass
4.
This is an old one!!!
Page 48 of 2013 Fender brochure, think they changed back to this style late 2010 http://www.citraintirama.com/files/download/FenderCatalog2013.pdf Hope that helps.
5. There's a guy on the following linked Facebook group looking for one. He's not too far from you. His name is Andy Shaw, I've put a link to your ad on his thread https://www.facebook...89090051102626/ Good luck, Karl. EDIT. Just noticed Andy is on here as well, as " inmate1571 "
6. Thanks chaps, PM' s replied to. Tom, hope you got a curly Bullet lead from those links. This bass owes me over £600. It's a 30 year old Japanese bass, they are not easy to find and are unlikely to get any cheaper. The 1st runs of these (with painted black neck) were first made around JV Series time. It is an excellent playing bass at £450 (£150 cheaper than a new Mex Standard Precision and around half the price of a new Japanese Aerodyne which imo aren't a patch on these). These also have a rather good rep courtesy of Duff. If it doesn't sell at £450, I will find something else to sell. Of course, folk can always spend £1100 on a new Mexican Fender Duff .
7.
Well ta for that. Maybe I'll have a look out for a squier classic vibe version of the 51.
Paul Houghton has one on Facebook. Used to be mine. Fabulous bass.
8. Oh well, in for a penny................... Proof (sort of) that it's perfectly giggable. Guitarist's daughters wedding week or so back, 1st number. On far too early (7.30pm ) Hope this works https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL4IyrsfQWM&sns=fb Cheers, Karl.
9. Plays extremely well BUT lot of little niggles. Light weight at 8lb 2oz Need to pay for something else. When I received this, exactly half the tuner screws and exactly half the pick up screws were missing. One side of the P pick wasn't wired up. It had two string trees. I think it's been refinished even though it has some little paint bumps. The paint on the headstock is cracked and you can see where the other (unneccesary) string tree was. Some of the black paint is coming off the tired bridge. I found some tuners screws that did the job (although not same size heads), found some pup screws, re wired the pup, cleaned the Hell out of it. Several coats of lemon oil. Set it up properly. Will include a Fender gig bag. It plays superbly now but I've spent a good bit of time and money on it and I look at it with hatred . As a players bass it is worth every penny, so sadly I'm not going to take any offers. I'm bigging this one up aren't I lol. PLEASE NOTE, I will reluctantly courier the bass (extra £25, UK only) BUT, I really wouldn't like complaints about what you get. I've described everything as accurately as I can. It's a great playing 30 year old bass with battle scars. Based in Wigan. Feedback linked below. I can provide some video of this bass in recent use. Thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 10. I bought an Orange Bass Terror on Friday night. I picked one of these cabs up on Saturday. Gigged that rig on Saturday night. The cab was frankly ASTONISHING! If I dare say, a massive improvement in volume and dispersion over the B/F SuperTwelve I had just sold. Good luck Gary, somebody is going to be delighted.
11. Alain really is a top guy to deal with. Always sells great gear and is always communicative, helpful and friendly. I do however have a couple of issues; he sells too many fabulous basses i live far too close for my wallet Cheers again, Alain, until the next time
12. It's possible the new member bought it from Mark at Classic and Cool/Limelight and has decided to move it on?
13. Absolute pleasure to deal with Mike. I think he'd actually paid before I got the word "yes" out. Lovely bloke, another great Basschat ambassador, fully recommended. Enjoy the bass Mike and many thanks, cheers, Karl.
14. It's been shared on the Yamaha Attitude Faecesbook page as well, so you might get contact through that. Good luck.
15. Best bass on the planet. Not an opinion, an undisputed fact declared by me. YMMV but you are wrong Have to ask, would you consider part trades as I'm a couple hundred sovs short guv?
16. All PM's replied, thanks folks. Some interesting ideas on what constitutes a Fender Precision Must admit though, I found it VERY difficult turning down an ACG Recurve Custom with the most glorious fretboard I've ever seen. Another day, that would have been a very different response.
17. Best amp ever made IMO. Wish I could still lift one Come on you young bucks, this is a terrific chance.
18. Musicman's answer to the jazz neck. One of this range, https://www.guitargu...160620298818008 Made in California, not a Ray 34,SUB, Sterling by Musicman, 'OLP' or any other of the cheaper Musicman ranges. I will include non original hardcase. 3 band EQ active preamp on board. Ceramic Pickup Series / Single Coil+Phantom / Parallel, selector switch Light at just under 8.5lb. I took this as a swap as a friend wanted my Jazz. Good condition for 18 years old, 3 proper little chips, some dints and scratches, but you can't see any of that from a few feet away. TRADES............ YES PLEASE! Fender US Precision (preferably post 2012). OR even better one of the Mex Mike Dirnt Road Worn Series (the £1200 new version). Any trial in Wigan, cheers, Karl. 19. https://www.anderton...0-bass-amp-head New or am I misreading it? Or are EBS playing at being TC
20. Thanks chaps, a few of the usual suspects there then! On hold (kinda since last night, apologies).
21. Only up whilst something else available (not telling you what in case you buy it ) Very good condition, handles replaced with the newer style, slightly worn Roqsolid included. Will meet up within 80 miles of Wigan, no extra charge. Sorry, can't courier this time as no suitable protective materials. Spec, http://barefacedbass...uper-twelve.htm This package would have been £900 new. Any trial in Wigan, cheers for looking, Karl.
