  1. As ever the "it's only worth £400" crowd are out (admittedly mainly on Faecesbook). This place appears to think differently. https://reverb.com/uk/p/fender-pb-70-precision-bass-reissue-mij
  2. Jason has just bought an amp from me. He was decisive & super quick to stump up. Comms were terrific, including letting me know (very quickly) that he had received it safe & sound. On top of this he was a delight to chat with. Yet another fantastic ambassador for Basschat. Fully recommended & thanks for making it very easy Jason, all the very best.
  3. Price is for a cash sale, trade value is higher. Neck on this is very "Nate Mendel", 40mm nut, fast & slim, TV Logo. US pickups, alder body, maple neck, rosewood board, 8lb 14oz. I also have the "tug bar" finger rest from the E side but it got in my way hence removal. Non export model. There are always a few in the UK but VAT, import duty & shipping are getting really prohibitive now. It's a bit Sid (for those of an age). Slight crack to paint (2mm) on body next to neck. Common on basses where the neck needs loosening to adjust truss rod. Usually caused by somebody tightening up a neck screw too much. Not me (although I have been guilty in the past). One chip and a few dimples at the back end of the bass. Please bear in mind 17 years old & it has been gigged. If you search, there are a couple of these for sale, prices between £750 & over £1300. Thanks for looking, Karl
  4. £300 collected Darlington £335 insured delivered mainland UK. As new. I won this in a competition, I was both astonished & delighted. Gigged it last night, I now remember why I don't use compression & semi - parametric mids. The family brain cell couldn't cope. I was a bit gutted because it's lighter & takes up less space than my Orange Bass Terror Mk 11. Back to the OBT Mk 11 tonight The Bass Terror is loud. This is LOUDER. Potentially very loud! No offers thank you, they are £449 new & this is actually as good as new. It will be up for 2 weeks, if it doesn't go, I'll reluctantly sell the OBT & make this work for me. Have a great New Year all.
  5. Fender Deluxe Precision Bass Special 2018 active/passive Current model (Player Plus) sells at around £1100. My price is about what some are asking for used Player Series, so this is a BARGAIN. Saving up for (another) Rickenbacker. Superb condition pretty much as new. Very well set up.. Jazz neck profile. 12 inch radius, very fast neck. Contoured neck heel (like American Ultra & Pro 11). Raised poles on Jazz pickup, A & D strings, to follow radius. The sunburst finish is really top quality. The 3 band eq provides a wide range of tones and it can be played in either passive or active modes using the micro switch. Weight is 9lb. Collection from Darlington is much preferred, hence the low price for a bass of this quality. I may do a meet up, Extra £50 for insured mainland UK courier thanks for looking.
  6. The blend dial on these OB1's is a thing of pure sorcery. When I had the 500 it could destroy worlds (yes, exaggerating, but not by much!). Good luck.
  7. I have very recently bought a bass from these chaps. Will was brilliant to deal with. The bass arrived very quickly, within 48 hours of purchase. That is amazing considering couriers/post/weather at this moment. It was superbly packaged. On opening it, the bass was exactly as per photos. Intonation was spot on as was action, neck relief & pickup heights. The bass has been very well cleaned, it was superbly presented. FULLY RECOMMENDED PEEPS, buy with utmost confidence. Cheers Will, I have no doubt I will be back to pester you again
  8. Bit late to see this. 2 X OBC 112's are more than enough for any pub/club gig I do. I've never needed the gain or master past noon even in the bigger clubs (OBT Mark 11). Superb modular rig, very light, sounds wonderful.
  9. Bizarre. People are asking this much for bog standard Player Series & these things are so much more. They are called Deluxe for a reason. I've decided to keep mine as there is no better Fender (imo) available for this kind of money. Especially P body Jazz neck.
  10. Absolute gent to deal with. Decisive, great comms, quick payment, patient with the current carnage that is UK deliveries, very pleasant to deal with. Yet another great ambassador to our wonderful community. Many thanks Nick, hope the young 'un enjoys it.
  11. Tortie plate for the Mex Active Deluxe P bass special, the one with the micro switch for active passive. Cost £75 £25 collected Darlington £30 posted Thanks
  12. As reviewed by our very own @Dood (hope that's ok Dan?). Bought it for a new project. It turned up 3 hours after I'd been told I was going in for surgery, that project for me is now a non starter. Only taken out of the box to take photos. It's an inexpensive & clever little tool. £65 collected from Darlington, £70 posted mainland UK Thanks for looking https://www.google.com/search?q=valeton+dapper+bass+dan+veal&rlz=1C1VDKB_en-GBGB961GB961&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:3e70c2e5,vid:Uce_M5F3X68
  13. Yup, strange that. I've just double clicked it and it went to the Facebook link which is a Floyd tribute band sound check in Chorley. Anyway, last night I took the Bass Collection Power Bass to the gig. My Jazz Elite never left it's stand. The range of the pickup on the Bass Collection is excellent, it's quite light - the neck is exquisite. I love this Fender copy! 😁
  14. Interesting this. I'm a bit of a Fender fan boi but I've recently been looking for a non PJ with slimmer neck. The most obvious is the Nate Mendel but by accident I saw/heard the following bit of soundcheck. I knew the neck profile was good, had a chat with the bass player who I've sort of known for 50 years and it's now in a rack behind me. This Bass Collection Power Bass is beautifully made, sounds great, is easy to play & less than half the price of a Nate. 1st gig with it tomorrow night. https://www.facebook.com/lin.davies.7902/videos/1270060980436930
  15. Happy to box it up for collection but it would need to be buyer organising & paying. That way they decide on insurance level & cost of courier. It's so expensive now. Sorry, Karl.
  16. Black Friday sale. Reduced to £649 🤣
  17. Fender Precision
  18. Mainly P on full all the time & dialing woofer in for more bottom end when needed. Bit of a faff often needing to dial stuff in-between songs, but worth it
  19. Regarding harness if you do replace it, it might be worth considering a stack pot for the P pup. With it being woofer vol tone, but only volume for the P I always felt I was missing bit of potential on mine (stupidly long gone).
  20. 40mm nut & slimmer back to front compared to the 44 mm Attitude LTD. Alain, Richie Thomson in Wigan has a sratchplate template for one of these, he did a fabulous brown tortie for me some years ago. Just in case 🙂 edit, I forgot, I sprayed the woofer cover black.
  21. Fantastic basses, I was going to have a go at that one but the refin stopped me Alain. Enjoy, very jealous 😁
  22. Wow, bargain for a version 1 made in Italy.
