1. FSR 60'S Classic series from Japan, truss rod access? decal over lacquer? This just doesn't look right to me. Supposed to be '94. Comments folks? 2. Form indeed Link works for me, but that means nowt with my tech skills Changed the link to my page, 2nd video down.
3. Nice I'd remove the R word from your trade options if I were you Bump.
4.
Teaser for Karlfer and Marc S The Jerry Scheff is a ltd edition run through Steve Barr at the dudepit some years ago Its similar to a Jazz Bass in feel, but the pickups are more widely spaced and they are lipsticks. Also has a 3 band eq switched. Its a very versatile bass and much under rated. {its not a USA model]
1st dibs and heads up bagsied on the Jerry please (whaddya mean circling vultures!) I do have legitimate excuse https://www.facebook.com/karl.altdorfer
5. Only a couple of PM's here. Couple of students on FB waiting for their funds to clear. It's a £200, good looking (imo), well sorted, perfectly giggable bass. If this doesn't go, well, it's not really a big deal tbh. Always a decent back up for The Evil Ferret and Mongoose
6. Just a little addendum from myself, re the above. I required a "vintage style" Precision, however, Fiesta Red was not life or death for me and I didn't really need it immediately. Dan passed on Vic's message. This ACTUAL bass was life or death for Vic .So now he's got it. About 20 minutes after the bass left me, an Antigua Precision came up on FB. Antigua IS life or death for me . Karma
7. Colt 45, check. Swag bag, check. Stripey jumper, check. Mask, check. I'm going out, I may be some time.
8.
Unfortunately my band is finishing at the end of the year, so I am retiring and most of my basses will be sold over the nest few months so no trades unfortunately
Sorry to hear you are retiring. In true spirit of Basschat, PLEASE give me 2 months notice for the Jerry Scheff
9. Streamliner imo is a superb amp, but yes, cabs make a huge difference. Just as a short point; with B/F Super Twelve, bass rotary back to 9 o'clock, low mids boosted with Scroeder 2 x 12 (tweeter off), bass rotary at 1 o/clock, low mids cut That to get a tone as close as I can get to JPJ on Zepp 11
10. Fabulous, versatile basses that rarely come up for sale. Great guy to deal with, Vic makes a European deal very easy. Might be a good while before another comes up so might be an idea to get in quickly
11. It's very simple really. Dealing with Vic is like dealing with a great friend a few counties away. Not the 1st time we have dealt with each other. He makes dealing with somebody outside of the UK SO BLOODY EASY! Vic, you are a grade one legend and no doubt we will deal again. If you wish to deal with Vic, simply do not hesitate, you are on to a winner. Fully recommended, cheers fella
12. Sorry, rookie mistake Bass is in Wigan, happy to insured courier UK, extra £20. Happy to meet up within 30 miles of Wigan at no extra charge. Cheers, Karl. EDIT, typing at same time, thanks Tom
13. And why not. Some of the current incumbents FSR Sea foam Bitsa FSR Antigua Rick 4004C11
14.
now prefer straight sale... free to make a offer
Working on it
15. * Her Who Makes Toast By Breathing On Bread. *Left in for continuity So................... NOT A FENDER !! Cheap Faker bitsa Jazz thingy. Plays, looks, sounds great. P/J config. Good condition Alder body with some “certain light” swirls etc. Wilkinson P at the neck and a Wilkinson Tonerider J at bridge, work well together. Blend/vol/tone rotaries, bass sounds good. The 4th rotary, on the scratchplate, was for a Mids unit under the plate. That is no longer there. If I end up keeping this, I’m just going to get a proper brown tortie plate cut, screw holes done. Neck is a Custom World Guitar Parts maple Jazz neck, Rosewood board and inlay blocks. Graphtec nut, frets have been levelled/dressed. Naughty little Fender neckplate (actually genuine) and hooky headstock decal. Tuners, not the best in the world, but they do the job. EDIT, just noticed 2 different types of tuners, . I'll throw some old Mex ones in as well. Slightly tatty but functional gig bag included. It’s not a ’75 jazz, BUT it’s a cheap, good looking bass that I would quite happily gig tonight. HAPPY to put this (+ £150) to a nice Mex Fender bass. Feedback linked at bottom of post. I only try to sell my unused decent gear and for the price, imo, this is quite good. £200 collected from Wigan (or meet within 30 miles), £20 extra UK insured courier delivery, Cheers, Karl. 16. Stunning bass and a great price for a Dennis. I've put something up for sale to go a long way to funding the Sea Foam Green CS, but this, well, I actually think it's even more tempting.
17. Oh why not, cheese to the nth degree, but a giggle nonetheless. https://www.facebook.com/tony.crooks.90/videos/1185843761473160/
18.
I had the same thought, but resisted the temptation this time as I was "that guy" a while back! All I would say is that IMHO, you're wasting you're breath ;-)
I remember it well
19. Only got one thing to sell that would get me most of the way to funding this Martin It will be neither easy or quick
20.
And a woman to complain about it.
Word!
21.
I'm far removed from my senses and while I've downsized pretty much viz all other possessions I'm a bit bonkers about instruments. I could cut my basses down from 5 to 3 but I can't bring myself to do this. If space gets tight one of the kids'll have to go. I've got a spare so that's not a problem.
CLASS!!!!
22.
Karl, how can I put this... " you don't use backline anymore " ...
Oh be quiet . Anyway, there may be other projects + deps. And a home isn't a home without a bass rig
23. Tell me about it. I'm desperately trying to unsee that Markbass TTE501 that went up this morning
