1. Buyer to arrange courier is often a bit tricky. To do this, the buyer needs to sort out with the seller, when it is convenient for the seller to have the bass collected. This ALWAYS puts me off. It is much easier (imo) for the SELLER to say something like " I can get it collected on X day, it will be with you on Y day". Buyer obviously to pay the carriage costs.
2.
I'd love a sea foam green Japanese for 450...
So would I . I missed one in Glasgow, at £500, last year. My timimg is sh*t (just the drummer ).

4. Wigan massive strikes again. Apologies for following pic, but any excuse
5. Naw, many thanks, but get it selt. Like you, lot of interest/trade offers on my two but neither gone yet. Cracking bass at that price, won't be on here long. Edit. Mind, if I do end up getting it, I require your DNA cotton budding out of that bridge pup
6.
By any chance are you the guy selling the 5 string Elwood on one of the UK pages?
Nope, that's another Steve, mushimamonkey
7. Bugger, been watching this one on FB with the hope one of my two would go 1st. This will be gone before tea time on here
8. Think that Sea Foam Green is Japan. There was one came up in London early in the year at £450 and it had sold before I could contact the guy
9. There's one on Facebook (in Doncaster) at £650 and it's been up a couple of weeks. As much as I would love it, I still can't get round the boat anchor bit. One owner has clocked his at 12lb
10. Very surprised this is still here Dunc GLWTS
11. Laptop bag for me too
12. I've had the pleasure of playing this bass and it's superb. Steve's a great bloke as well. Hope the new business is going well Steve (gizza job ).
13.
Hi there, is this still available?
Welcome Dudley
14. You've lost me there Mike I have decided this is sale only now. Too many people (not all) have offered me trades based on the CASH price rather than the TRADE valuation. Or put another way, no, I'm not going to accept a Mex Precision and £300 . Kindly remember £1669 new Cheers, Karl.
15.
I was quoting from the Fender website - Are the details incorrect? 41.02mm
Fender and dood 1 - 0 karlfer Head held in shame I should never have doubted
16. Hang my head in shame Good job there was no money on it Thanks for doing that Fisheth, DON'T tell dood
17.
People think that your'e desperate to sell mate. Its a bargain right there. What i usually do is to get the person to bank transfer £50 for a hold. That sorts the men from the idiots !
Thanks Mike. I usually take a members word as his bond. Up until this year that had only backfired once. I always put something out at a price I think fair to both buyer and seller. Cash price wise, this is a bit of a bargain despite the couple of issues. The last two I can find on here were out at £1100 and £1150. No hurry to sell. Possibly giving it a whirl at rehearsal this Thurs, see how I get on with it stood up.
Karl, do you have any experience of the U shape on the 74 AVRI Jazz and how this might compare to yours profile wise (as I have one of these and like the feel)? Clearly width would be different but I'm not fussed about that.... I've also had a 51 CIJ Precision but didn't like that neck at all really. Thanks Steve
Sorry Steve I've not been lucky enough to try a U profile jazz. I've not had a '51 either as I just know those big necks are going to be no good to me. I have had a Blue Flower 54 RI. Lovely bass in many ways but the neck on that was huge as well. Much deeper back to front that this 58 RI. Which in turn is a bit deeper back to front, than the quite shallow AV57RI and Road Worn Precision. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Cheers, Karl.
18. Further PM's replied. Hmm. American Vintage series at £50 more than a used Mex Flea and getting lowballed. Given the way Fender prices have gone lately, these will be pushing £2k new in a couple of years so probably no big deal if it doesn't go now
19. A. Araldite. B. Give Howard a ring
20. Zombie thread resurrection. Could one of you gents with the Hammers bass, measure your nut please A dispute needs fettling. Fender say 41.3mm I say cobblers, it's nearer 44.5mm
21.
I was quoting from the Fender website - Are the details incorrect? 41.02mm
Nope, you are bang on right according to Fender spec. But I would bet their spec is wrong. Believe me dood, they have form . I'll seeif I can sweet talk an owner to measure one.
22. I apologise, but I've been itching to post the "worst miming with a Rickenbacker" clip. https://www.youtube....h?v=aWaJ6vNyvaw You were warned!
23. Wise man. Unlike me
