One of the side issues is when you perform at wedding gigs, you often get further bookings from attendees if you perform well. If you aren't allowed to perform well, it's likely to cost you business. Which is something of a pisser when it's down to factors beyond your control.

Thanks Dropzone. Quite a few interested in this bass, most trying to raise funds. Proof of provenance has been supplied to some folk privately, including one of the videos of it in action. Some measurements have been requested by folk so I'm going to put them here. Disclaimer - all measurements done with dodgy 58 year old eyes Nut width 38mm Width at 12th fret approx 53mm Depth of neck at 1st fret approx 20mm Depth of neck at 12th fret approx 21mm Diameter at 1st fret (from top of fretboard E, to top of fretboard G, ie max measurement) approx 60mm Diameter at 12th as above approx 80mm In summary, it's kind of jazz neck, somewhere between a C and D profile Cheers, Karl. I always have a slightly higher trade value as I look at a cash price as a slightly discounted valuation. I always price gear at a price I think is fair to both buyer and seller. Nobody has to buy. Nobody has to trade. Two fair minded people with a mutual interest should be able to come to a satisfactory compromise. Just wish I could stop buying, selling and in particular trading. It's becoming a bloody disease thingy .

Hmm, I've just had a couple of hours on mine tonight, at rehearsal. 1st time I've actually played it properly. I have set the action a touch higher than I would like. Rectify that this weekend. Spare time has been in short supply this last three weeks. No niggles apart from the action which I'll sort. It's a shame some of these basses do have issues. Playing mine tonight, it was great to play and sounded very good. And there was quite a lot of interest in the studio we use to rehearse. And at 8lb 4oz, it was a joy to use. Sorry to the guys who got basses that weren't satisfactory. Glad I put a Warwick Custom Shop up instead of this. Well, at the moment .
I felt bushes in Holland, but it was quite a while ago now.
What scares me is his feedback as a seller is rather good -
Thanks chaps. All PM's replied to, thanks for the interest. To the chap who queried how much I was asking for this bass, well, I have a photo of the invoice, dated Oct 2011. It was £4077, so I reckon it's worth the £1200 it owes me. I do think it's worth a tad more than a (very nice) 00's Japanese Precision and £300. I have cleaned some of it, some still to do. I've put the backplate back on correctly, done some minor set up work, including lining the strings up with the pup poles. Should have done this stuff before the photos. Hey ho. Cheers, Karl.

Advice please, Warwick Wenge fretboard maintainance?
karlfer replied to karlfer's topic in Bass Guitars
Many thanks chaps, much appreciated . I should really have done it when I re-aligned the strings over the pole pieces late last night -
I've not had a Wenge fretboard before. I'm tidying a bass up for sale, one of the things I'd like to do is clean the fretboard. Can anybody advise if lemon oil is used on Wenge, to finish it off? Cheers in anticipation, Karl.
Now that looks like a steal!! Good luck with the sale Karl!!
Cheers Damon
It's got Marvel straplocks too, I use them and they're the best imo' lovely bass Karl. GLWTS mate, probably weighs more than Wigan? ( I jest )
Sorry to disappoint Tom, an almost sylph like 8lb 6ozs

I got this in an upwards trade. Warwick Custom Shop Corvette $$ with LEDs. Issues, missing treble rotary (on it's way from Warwick), I will forward to buyer There is some paint wear on the front. Some headstock chips. It's mucky, it won't be on delivery. Please bear in mind this is a SANDBLASTED finish so the body surface has rivulets in it. For interested parties I will provide a photo of the original invoice for £4077 in 2011. I will also provide a photo of the original delivery note. I did my best to price up all the options yesterday, with yesterday's £/Euro exchange rate and it comes to a scary £6017 . I'm the second owner. It was made for an in a well known rock band, who's 1st three albums went gold. It owes me £1200 cash. It REALLY is not for me, far too much going on. Two pups, vol (pull for passive), blend, mid, treble, bass, two 3 position switches which I guess are series/parallel and, er, summat else DOH, EDIT! Weight, a rather back friendly 8lb 6ozs. TRADES/PART EX. A Barefaced Gen 3 Super Twin is top of the list. Other Barefaced happily considered. Precision, esp 50's style. Please try me. Any trial in Wigan. COURIER. This thing comes in one of those Warwick massive cases, that weigh the same as a Ford Focus. Potential buyers would need to organise their own insured courier. Thanks for looking, Karl.
You wouldn't get away with it in Wigan though
Looking at last nights punters in Wigan, you would have got away with a two hour Smurfs cover set.

The bent up washers are to force the little bump on the washer, into the bottom of the tone rotaries. This is what gives the notch/click, when you turn your tone rotaries, thus holding the tone rotary in place where you set it. The 1st thing I did with mine was 3 coatings of Lemon Oil on the board. Mine is Fender Custom Shop brand Lemon oil. I think the bottle may outlive me. Edited for bloody spelling again!

Hello Ed, just seen this advert. Right folks, Ed is a phenomenal and versatile bassist, who's gear is top drawer and very well looked after. When I got my PUMA from him, I played through this cab and it is simply jaw droppingly good. He's a real nice guy to boot. Congrats on the pregnancy Ed, you weren't showing when I was over Deal with confidence folks. Edited for spelling as usual

All further PM's replied, many thanks. Regarding trade for a Streamliner 600. I should have stated a trade that was relatively local meet up, as I am offering an initially more expensive item. Put another way, It's very cheap and I don't want it to actually cost me more. Blue Lights. Info/quote courtesy of Muzz, cheers fella Hey Karl, Thought I'd give you the heads-up on the LEDS on that Streamliner - I got a set from AgedHorse and had them professionally fitted. Apparently the original build batch of LEDs turned out to be unreliable, hence why AgedHorse will supply them to anyone who asks. Plus he's just an all-round Good Guy. Bottom line is I don't expect the LEDs on that Streamliner to fail. Thought I'd let you let folk know... Cheers, Muzz
