I think your best option is the 51 P-bass with flats. It fits the look & sound and from experience there are some muso snobs around that scene who may not appreciate an Ibanez. The 51 P-bass plays it safe & delivers

There are a few threads around this subject. Personally I use Musicguard but have never made a claim. I can spread payments via monthly direct debit which helps though

My preference is stage left too, snare side of the drummer. We usually keep this position but it's not a problem if it's a kit share gig & the headliners do differently. Obviously if I was playing against Man Utd I'd probably favour a 4 4 2 position

I have a Resonator acoustic bass that I've used at a couple of acoustic shows It's strung with flats as it sounded dreadful with roundwounds quite frankly. I can't help but feel the acoustic bass looks very 1993 / MTV Unplugged and to be honest you are better with a traditional electric bass if you aren't playing an upright. The Reso looks great but it's just a pose really. I only take it if I think the upright is going to a problem on the train or can't face carting it about. Considering you always plug them in you really would be better off sticking with what you have.

Awesome, but shame it's not going to be ready... I could have broken it in for ya!
