So far this is just serving to prove if you are an "as & when" type band it really is a nightmare trying to get fitted in on a Wednesday if you don't book a regular slot
I don't think anyone's ever posted a Basschat poll without someone complaining! What about those of us who practice as & when due to gigs, shift work, family, own businesses etc?
First I'd heard. I have a Buffalo Springfield biography on the bookshelf awaiting to be read so it'll be interesting to see if there is any mention of it.
Looking at the attached picture seems to support that
The Danos are always really good fun but I must confess they never seem to have much staying power & wind up getting sold on quickly (not just my experience but friends too).
Not tried the current ones or the pair back to back but I own an old 90s USA Ampeg SVT-15E cab & it's my favourite cab I've ever owned. Very retro & very cool. I believe both are now made in the Far East so I don't know if they kept the quality up. I occasionally add an Ampeg SVT 210 cab (also 90s USA) for a bit more punch. I've never heard anyone criticise either cab.
Mine is insured for £6k & that's not everything. I am selling a bit off though so it'll probably fall short of the £6k figure. I have a 70s Fender P-bass (£1.5k) & a Rickenbacker 4003 (£1.5k) that helped get that figure up there.
I've found sometimes / usually there is a backline for bass but occasionally you have to bring your own. You usually get an all expenses paid A4 photocopy Access All Areas Artiste pass to stick in your car when lugging the gear and usually just a line check rather than a formal soundcheck. All good fun though

Cool, I think that's why I come to this site - top tip!
I have the same head but 1978 & in a much more used condition. I've just bought a flightcase for it. What's with the red patch cable going into the normal input?
