1.
For a while I was GAS-ing over their Ampeg AEB-1 copy, the EEB-1.
Yes, me too as I wanted (want!) to be Rick Danko
2. Relax & have fun - may sound odd but it's a damn good start. Try & get on with them as it's more than just the music. Also be guided by what they say. They may want less flash... but go with the flow. Oh & good luck!
3. My original 90s MIJ P-bass is currently divided up across 2 Precisions, both of which are great basses
4. I've owned 3, great basses but just not "me". I'm a big fan of Gibson basses on other players!
5. How about http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOG-FENDER-STYLE-BAS...=item414fada424 ?
6. I too wondered if you just had it recut. I have a bone nut on my original P-bass. It's not an expensive modification but chances are your original one just slipped through the quality control & is an easy fix.
7. Bumping this for a couple of dates at the end of the month
8. I swapped the neck on my original bass recently, from maple to rosewood & it really woke up the monster. Better still, I built another great bass around the old neck. Quite literally win-win
9. It's quite light & the seller was a bit hard done by because it was an old fashioned auction... I stayed up until 3.20am & won it for around a mere £150! It appears genuine too & this has been confirmed This whole project has cost me less than £300
10. Had a few weeks out of Basschat just as I needed to be offline a bit more. I'd acquired a few bass parts and wanted to put together a P-bass. I salvaged the neck from my original 1989 P-bass, bought a 70s USA P-bass body on the 'Bay and pretty much got everything else from Basschat. I liked the 70s thing of stripping the finish so I've taken this back and waxed it up. Gigged it twice at the weekend and it's great. Great Wizard Trad pickup in there and ultra heavy flatwounds. You get the idea. It took me a few evenings to strip the paint, sand it down and wax it up but definitely worth it. It feels more personal than picking something off the wall
11. Onstage over the weekend... this is from our Manchester show.
12. We had Friday in Manchester and Saturday in Sheffield, both great fun. Manchester was poor sound but great crowd and Sheffield was great sound but smaller crowd. My first proper gigs since March as we've been recording but just happy to be playing again (& the album is going great...so far!)

hi

Welcome to Basschat
14. Welcome to Basschat Arjimlad
15. We've been locked away in rehearsals since March which is killing me but we start the follow up to the last album at the end of the month and from July we have gigs in Sheffield, Manchester, Bristol, London, Newport, Dublin etc etc For 2011 we are looking at a tv show in Manchester & a US showcase
16. Welcome to Basschat Kay
17. I think if you like a bass you grow to love the differences you are less used to like different neck profiles
18. I hasten to add my stuff is not for sale... just saying there are a lot of great configurations out there
19. I have 2x10 & 1x15 Ampeg cabs. Both sound great on their own. I also had the BA115U combo for a while which was fine but under your budget by a way
20. It's just poor listing. It could be fine, could be rubbish. I've made £800+ on EBay this week & I put that down to spending time on the photographs & listings. If it is a genuine Fender at that price & not a Squier it'd sell immediately with some pics and an explanation.
21. If you add it to your cart it goes up to £249... still cheap but what a neat trick!
22. Looks very authentic, gotta be worth a go at that price
23. Welcome to Basschat
