I sold a few of these on here before so here's the final remaining straps of my collection of hand made American straps made from vintage car upholstery vinyl by Couch in the USA. Only selling as my knackered shoulder now means I have to take a wider strap after 32 years of appalling low slung technique! The shortest length hole to hole is 100cm and they go very long indeed! I'm 6ft 3", play low and there is still room to go lower if you have full on ape like arms! Equally you can play at aa sensible height too! All in great condition and all 2" wide / very comfy. With import taxes and delivery these normally sell for about £60 each for the Racer X ones with the beige car seat belt one being nearer £40. I'm offering them at £30 each including UK delivery and £20 for the beige one. These are all 100% vegan / cruelty free and made from recycled American automobile interiors. As used by everyone from Green Day to Queen to Cheap Trick, the Velvet Underground and, um, Beyonce!?

Welcome to the Ric owners Club! I love my 4003s and use it all the time at present. I had a 4003 mapleglo back around 2009 but sold it on after a gig and recording session. Always regretted that so when I found a competitively priced 4003s a couple of years ago, I snapped it up! This one has recorded a whole album and done quite a few shows up until lockdown. It's about to record a new album and goes back out live at the end of the month. As you can see like @PigBass I too recommend removing the cover and getting the bezel fitted.

I found the trouble with small pedalboards is that I get it set up and then just think "I'll add an additional pedal!". Personally I probably wouldn't bother with two as they'd fit in a case / gig bag but it's your gig so the pb3 would work well as it is low cost and sturdy.

It's good to see buyers / sellers taking relevant precautions. It feels less strange when more people are doing this. With reports in the news this morning of the rise continuing for a second week, it does appear that a few folk are getting a little lax about things. I had a tonne of stuff for sale prior to lockdown and I was just now thinking I might refresh the sales threads again. There's always that fear of the guy showing up coughing with his whole family!

I saw that Ampeg head too but it bucks the trend. I am (pending an incoming payout) looking for an AD200B Orange head and the general guideline seems to be that these things do very much hold a lot of their value. Whilst I agree that the lightweight stuff is very much the preferred option these days, plenty still want (& pay for) those old school big valve beasts.

Did music lessons at school help with your musical life?
Cat Burrito replied to Nail Soup's topic in General Discussion
A lot of my early musical education comes from school.... but had nothing to do with the lessons. -
Some of the post Diana Ross stuff from the 70s is great too, like 5.30 Plane.

Well, I took the plunge!

I have the Ampeg 50-t too and previously owned a Fender Bassman 135 (1978 model!) I am hoping to get the Orange AD200B this year. I agree that there are alternatives that suit other styles of playing, but a bit like me playing vinyl records, I am attracted to the inconvenience and expense!

Custom build buyers remorse - what did you get wrong?
Cat Burrito replied to Drax's topic in General Discussion
I was getting Zilla to build me a custom amp head sleeve end of last year, after some (mixed) recommendations on here. The deadline was end of January but I found the guy was always apologising as I kept having to chase him. We extended the delay until mid February and in the end I just stopped messaging him. Last message I was getting a significant (unspecified and not requested) discount for him messing me around but I just wanted the work done. I guess I have given up now but after a series of very polite restrained messages from me I am somewhat put off. I've had loads of custom work done in the past (mostly straps and pickguards - but including an amp cabinet before) and whilst I get that patience is required with custom work, it was all a bit unnecessary. All I would ever ask for is periodic updates. I don't care if it takes ages, but keep people informed. -
I had an old A4 one for years but I'm liking the wider ranges of colours and sizes. Thanks for the heads up.
