As the topic say's I would like people to recommend me various Jazz PUP's and justify it. I am thinking of buying some Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounds as they seem to have great reviews but I know there are lots more out there. So why did you choose your PUP's? Thanks

I might sound like a complete idiot for asking but I gotta ask... eBay sell alot of neck plates but which do I buy? There are some for a quid and some for more and what I am unsure of is if I do buy a cheap one will it do any damage to the bass/sound/anything else important. What I mean is how I know which one is high quality... PS I know this might not read very well so I apologise ahead.

Got my maple neck and I gotta say she’s great looking and got what I believe to be a Schaller 3D-4 bridge off of a fellow BC'r. Will be buying a set of hipshot ultralite machine heads and also a hipshot ultralite string retainer too after I find out if they will defo fit my neck machine head holes BUT this is gonna cost £70 off of eBay... So maybe a little more thought into it and some looking around for a better deal. Gonna be buying Schaller strap locks too then I believe after that all I need is the electronics and a pick guard, but if anyone can think of anything else I forgot let me know Any thoughts or suggestions would be great.

nice, i still gotta sand my body. no time to get to b&q or homebase to get the paper. will have my neck and bridge tomorrow so i will be drilling the bridge-control cavity hole then attaching the bridge in the correct place and hopefully soon get the body treated and painted. Cant wait to see your pics

Havn't used it yet but should do in the next few day's and i will let you know how it is. Some nice colours but not a massive choice, I'm going for daphne blue. Good luck with your project.

Just got a Mighty mite maple jazz neck off of eBay, £70 might be a bit much but i really wanted a maple neck. So just gotta get a decent bridge and i can get that marked on the wood and a hole drilled for the earth for the strings to the control cavity. Any recomendations for a good bridge?

Us scots have good eyes for bargains. I looked around and found the cheapest inc P&P, one place had it real cheap then bumped it up high once P&P was added.

I was in a shop in glasgow and i asked about the John Moyer 5 string sig bass and he said he heard rumours that Traben don't even have a factory atm...

Ok, so i bought a jazz body with only the pickups and control part routed, how would i go about and put in a bridge? do i just screw it in? or do i do something else, unsure on what to search either... Thanks for any help.

Welll i got the rustins throught the mail today from Carlisle Glass. 2.30 for the tin, 3 quid for the delivery. not too bad i think. VERY quick postage.

Anyone know where i could get grain filler? B&Q? Homebase? I got my paint in this morning but cant spray the body as its ash and needs to be filled first. What can i do about this?

I'm not too sure what my desired sound is, I think i'd like a jazz tone to go with the look. i do play large range of music ie some metal then move onto some reggae to some classic rock is pretty common. I suppose i dont want them real quiet but want a good range of tones that i can actually notice when turning the tone knob.

I was looking at Select's by EMG since they are 30 quid off of stewmac, anyone got any experience with them? Or can anyone recommend another set for around the same price range. By the way its a set of jazz pup's i'm looking for. Links to them and reviews would help greatly to, thanks.

I see alot of kents on eBay, most at £30 a peice. But i will most likely be shopping around as the body and finish has not yet arrived and according to the guy who sold the paint it takes 2-3 weeks for the clear coat to set ([url="http://www.manchesterguitartech.co.uk/kitclear.html"]HERE[/url]). Well i got my body off of Dangerboy now, so its on the way through the post. So just gotta buy the finish for it and THEN i can start worrying about everything else. Still looking for an unfinished Jazz Maple neck for now as the rest i have located Let the bass building commence...
