Depending on how it feels/plays I think I am prepared to buy another and attack it with a router and make a jazz outta her. Should be easy enough, I think, only thing I think would be difficult would be a new pg. I think everyone is going to receive their bass on monday and this thread is going to burst into life with modding ideas.

Well next time i am in Glasgow to visit my family i think i will be bringing ALL my basses to you Mark. Having some problems finding someone to do setups and other things over here. Again, cant recommend Mark (7String) enough, great guy, great service. You'd be mad to go to anyone else in Glasgow/Central Scotland Area.

Whats your average turnover? And you doing any to order? Or anything a bit more custom?

It all depends on the tone i am looking for or how i feel, I can do both, but i tend to play finger more often.

Those mighty mite maple necks are awesome, my custom jazz has one and it is THE best neck i have ever played... Very reasonable price too from eBay.

Just Checked my local Music stores website (There is only two on the island, that i am aware of) and it seems there is a bass workshop with free admission this sunday. Think i will be going to see what it is. Any other people from around here interested? Maybe meet up and talk some bass. You should post some pictures of this bass with some cavity pics too, might help you a bit more as there might be someone here that can help.

Ask 7string, he may be able to sort this out for maybe a quarter of the price. He's a great guy and lives in glasgow.

I was going to buy a VMJ from GAK (Hoping that the wood looked nice) when i get paid at the end of this month but since last week the VMJ has went from around 220 to 306 quid. Think i will be keeping my eyes peeled around here more often...

I was going through the threads and seen this and couldnt believe it was so specific lol But yeah, i live in the IOM. I also play bass, BUT i cant say i am very good. Will definetly sent a PM your way to find out whats going on.
