I liked Oasis for the most part. Again, I'm of that age where they sound tracked nights out, and a not-so-misspent youth, but I've never got the Beatles comparisons. I think it was something perpetuated by them more than the press, but I could play any Oasis album and hand on heart say none of it sounds like the Beatles.

I disagree a little. His voice is better than it was in the latter years of Oasis, but his backing band are pretty average and was it just me or was he reading the lyrics of an autocue?

I've been looking for a wiring harness for a PJ build I'm in the middle of, but can't find any specifically for a PJ configuration. Can I use a wiring harness for a jazz bass? 😊

I work a "continental" shift pattern - 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 off ad nauseum.... This pattern means that two Fridays and Saturdays out of every month I am working. They are 12 hour shifts which leaves little room at the end of a shift for a rehearsal or a gig, so these are usually pushed back to when I'm not at work. I'm in two bands, neither of which are particularly busy - one is an originals band, the other is a jazz 6 piece. I blessed that everyone in both of these bands is willing to work around me and my ball ache of a shift pattern.

I loved the 80s. I was 4 when they started and 15 when they ended, didn't have a care in the world, loved every minute. Yes the fashion was shocking at times but certainly not a patch on the 70's. Music was everywhere, pop stars had actual talent and the bass was always high in the mix. If someone does manage to invent a time machine, send me back ASAP. 😊

Hey all, Bought a used one of these a while ago and I am struggling to get a usable sound from it. To me, it sounds like the "wah" is the wrong way round (bear with me... 😁). When i play a note, the effect starts "closed" and swells to the "open" sound, rather than the other way around, which is how an auto wah of this type should work? If this makes sense, does anyone know what's occurring? 😊

Pretty sure he did some work with Seal in the early nineties - including the acoustic session that was filmed for a video release. The name of the film escapes me but they might have played in a church.... Great player. 😊

They are my string of choice. They seem to last longer than other brands (for me anyway). 😊
