  1. This coveted Neuser Courage 5 is a handmade 34" boutique beauty handmade by the renowned Czech luthier Robert Neuser.
Considered as one of the best sounding and manufactured 5 strings basses ever done in Europe in every NAMM show always have been amongst the most valued basses by the professionals.
Neck-thru with a 7-piece for maximum stability/ 2 octave maple neck, a jet-black ebony fingerboard with Neuser Deluxe v-inlays and body wings of alder with a truly beautiful flame maple.
This is one of the first ever made with american Bartolini electronics and a 3 positions MID selector. 18 volts preamp for a great headroom.
The hardware is gold-plated high-end Gotoh. The nut is brass, indestructible. The frets are normal Jumbo frets.

Incredible playing comfort, terrific sound and dynamics and superbly manufactured, a bass I heartily recommend if you are looking for a high end 5 strings (not my business anymore so I'm back to the classic 4 strings). European craftmanship at its best.
Truly well balanced and extremely comfortable to carry, it is very light as well. It has a beautiful punchy, fat, round and sustaining sound that can be tweaked quite a lot. Specially the bridge pickup is to die for.

I really can't think of anything this bass couldn't do. It's beautiful, extremely comfortable, and has a range of great sounds.

    Hear it in action:

The bass is used but in good condition, has a few common hairlines in the nitro finish and some marks hard to photograph but is in overall good shape.
Frets are inmaculate and the setup is perfect with a nice comfortable low action, absolutely no issues of any kind.
Comes with fresh Ken Smith Compressor strings, adjusting tools and a brand new deluxe harcase made specifically for this bass.

  2. This bass is a tone moster, purchased only a few months ago brand new as New Old Stock is in fact a expensive whim for me so even its sound and look is unreal, I really don't know what to do with 6 strings. This is known as the perfect GAS attack, you know how it works.
Perfect setup with a very low action, the neck is very easy to play and truly slim.
I will send it with a brand new deluxe hardcase made specifically for this bass (pictures coming) that fits the instrument like a glove, instead of the factory gig bag or the generic hardcase pictured.
Included for free a very nice Ovangkol removable ramp made by my luthier, Warwick wax and all his adjusting tools.

Those basses cost today about 2400 EUR in Europe if you find one. 4599 USD, 3679 street price in the States, take a look at the end of this site:

... so having in mind that is in as new condition I think [s]1680 [/s]1380 EUR or Sterling Pounds equivalent+ shipping to your home for a straight sale is a bargain for this stunning piece.

    Talking about trades adjusting cash:
Any good fretted 4 strings could suit me well but my all times favourites are:
Fender Jazz Bass Custom Shop or Vintage Reissues or a Ultra Vintage Sadowsky. Also Laklands or Stingrays could work.
Also a good Telecaster CS, '52 RI or '62 RI or a Gibson ES-335 cherry could be of my interest.
Anyway feel free to send me any proposal through PM please and we talk about it.
    Thanks!

    Warwick Thumb BO Fretless Bass
Though the distinctive body design is a favorite of players worldwide, the Thumb Bolt-on has many features that separate it from its peers. The ovangkol body wood is both beautiful and harmonically resonant. Its MEC active pickups and electronics give you the broadest range of tones and textures. 3-piece ovangkol neck with ebony fingerboard. Black hardware. Gigbag included.[/b]

  3. Hi mates, thank you for your words.
No idea at all about Paolo Nutini's bass player. I know and I really like his work but I don't have any info about the gear of his band.
Did you see at Glastonbury in 2007? Will be fine get some info about it. :)

  4. Try to find a piece like this worldwide:
My main fretless for recording, never gigged:
1976 fretless P-Bass in an incredible near mint condition, only a tiny mark without any impact and hard to photograph in the back of the neck.
All original till the last screw. Serial: 76 47406. Pots: 1377613.
Very lightweight, less than 8lbs. Premium ash body, rosewood board without any marks (always set-up with flatwounds).
Truss rod works flawless, stay tuned for months, not any issue at all with this beauty. Original Hardshell case and sealed Fender duster and mutes included.
Currently set-up with brand new La Bella 760N Black Nylon strings with a very low action, I will include two expensive brand new extra sets with the sale/trade.
This is the best CBS Fender bass I've found in my life and I owned dozens, my promise. Sounds incredible with a warm strong signal without any noises at all, EXACTLY as the one in the first The Police albums.

Please contact me through PM. Thanks.

  5. Yes, it's a normal scale bass mate. As user of many hollowbody short scale basses in the past I think there's a HUGE difference in terms of tone, it's deeper and fuller in the 34''.

  6. Isn't cool? ^_^

I guess there's only a few in Europe so the retail price was 4300 EUR and the street price 3600, no many room to see one in every bass player gear.
Jack Lawrence of the Raconteurs plays one of these in his parallel band "Dead Weather".
