akai deep impact

I love mine!!! Powered by a Diago PSU so no problems there, tracking is superb and I find editing sounds stupidly easy!! Wouldn't be without it!!!
2. Aww... thanks Matt, it was a pleasure to deal with someone straight, decent and honest. I'm so glad you love the bass as much as I did and I'm really pleased she's getting some use. Thanks for being a friend, keep in touch.
3. I love talk talk, one of my favourite bands ever! I caught their Montreaux (sp?) gig from 1986 on Sky Arts channel earlier in the week, it's awesome!
4. Lincoln Goins, not sure of the spelling, is a legendary latin player and Fodera endorser.
5. I know it sounds dull and i'm a party pooper but don't forget to declare your income to the tax man, especially if you were paid by cheque as it will almost certainly have gone through someone's books somewhere. Be careful.
6. Make sure the internal compressor on the Pod is turned off or you'll be compressing twice.
7. ok, will do. Watch this space. Pm me your postcode and i'll get a quote
8. Yeah, I've got a paypal account so that wouldn't be a problem
9. Yeah, assuming the cost wasn't TOO great
10. Hey Jay, I'm doing good thanks . Sorry for messing with your mind but it's true, the Eden is truely special. I've got the LMKII with a 4 Ohm 4x10 so I get the full 500 watts from a reasonably compact rig. Many folks on here find other cab brands work well with the head but I find the MK cab to be as good as anything else I've tried such as Schroeder, Epi, Aggie... The Eden was always perfect with a flat EQ, sometimes needing minor adjustments to cater for different venues or stages but the MB needs a little more tweaking to coax the best out of it. It's punchy, has a fast response and the 2 filters VLE and VPF make subtle changes to the tone which can cater for all styles. Since I got my MB rig, many manufacturers have followed suit with lightweight rigs so there's plenty to choose from but Markbass should certainly be on your list of potential purchases. happy shopping...
11. This rig used to be mine and I have to say, although I sold it for the same reasons as Jay and I'm very happy with my Markbass rig, I've never quite achieved THAT sound that I hear in my head, since I sold the Eden. My ears, my head and my heart miss the Eden in a big way but my back certainly doesn't. Have a free bump...
12.
Not sure if it was an introduction at Namm, and not that I'm interested in it as a purchase...... .....but the new Fender Victor Bailey 6 strings looks kinda cool! Available in fretless as well obviously Si
Steve Bailey, surely...?
13. My SR5 came with EB super slinkys on and i loved it straight outta the box. I've stuck with them since then and I love them
14. +1 for EBS. Wouldn't be without it.

16. This Bass Pod has been lying dormant for a while now, having been replaced by an XT Live version. It's an original kidney bean Pod NOT the 2nd gen XT version. Complete with manual, cd, power supply, FBV longboard and Line6 carry bag. Looking for £100 inc postage.
17. I too, am really sad to read this thread. I'm a long time Overwater customer, i have 2 basses, straps, leads and i used their strings for many years. I've always found them friendly, knowledgable and totally customer focused. I'm really disappointed to hear that standards seen to have slipped at OW, I hope you get it sorted. Come on Overwater, do the right thing.
18. I'll certainly do that! Thanx HH
19. That's a great description, thanx Dood
20.
This just in: Promoter in shafting shocker!
In other news.... Bear goes to toilet in woods and Pope expresses an interest in the holy ghost!
21. That's a good point but thankfully i don't have a gig till new year's eve now so if beardy is a little sloppy and forgets my reel, Santa 'B and Q' Clause will be getting a hasty visit!
22. A new extension reel is top of my Santa list so hopefully that'll sort it. I'll just add that i'm ALWAYS connected to an RCD as i have a healthy respect for electricity.
