  1. Boxed as new polyphonic octave pedal with up & down octaves as well as dry signal all mixable as stock, and pretty much configurable to whatever combination of voices you want via the TonePrint app. the TonePrint stuff is super flexible, there's a bunch of presets if you don't fancy getting into the weeds, but super simple to get really specific sounds if you do. I've been using this exclusively as an octave up, for instance; octave volume on the middle dial and drive and resonance on the other two. IMO the "classic" voice available via the TonePrint app is the least "warbly" / organ-like (organic?) of the octave pedals I've tried (OC-5, POG, SY-1) and scuffs up very nicely when fuzz is added to it, almost none of that synthetic / echo-ey quality remains in the wet signal. Tracks immediately and accurately all over the fretboard, and handles 4-note polyphonic phrasing. Bass specific YouTube review: 50 notes posted, I bought it for 60 so hoo boy are you getting a bargain here, friendo. Will restore to the stock poly voice settings before sending it out.
  2. Transparent overdrive that does a good job of replicating the classic Motown board sound, this can double as either a low gain drive or a clean boost depending on your requirements. It doesn't get even remotely cronchy or hairy tho; a B3K this is not. Does work well in front of other dirtboxes to give them an extra bit of oomph tho. Some light scuffing to the front fascia and the dial markers aren't as clear as they once were but it's in perfect working order other than that. No box. Obligatory YouTube vid: 50 notes posted.
  3. As new & boxed TC Electronic Skysurfer reverb pedal for sale, three modes (spring / plate / hall), dials for effect level, wet / dry mix & tone. True bypass with a soft footswitch, it's the larger top-mounting TCE enclosure not the mini. Youtube demo, it's for guitar rather than bass cuz the bass demo video for this stone cold dogshit: 25 notes posted.
  4. There's no age limit on pedals! Use whatever you want, it's your sound, no-one else really cares that much! As for fiddling around with settings on stage, that's what soundcheck is for. Some effects are gonna be always on (compressors, preamps, eqs), some are gonna be on for some songs and not others, and others yet are gonna be turned on and off mid-song, but that's what the footswitches are for. Petty much no-one will get on their knees and start turning dials in the middle of a song, and not many will tweak their settings between songs unless there's something obviously wrong somewhere. As for things being confusing on stage, if you can remember when to change from the verse to the chorus you can remember when to step on the fuzz button, that's all there is to it really.
  5. You are not too old for this sort of thing. This is the most ubiquitous bass fuzz for a reason, plug it back in and have another go. Start with the blend at midday, sustain all the way up and tone at the point it starts "biting" (usually around 1-2 o' clock). It's an absolute banger of a pedal.
  6. Thanks again for the heads up, these were 100% what I was looking for. They feel great with zero string noise, they've bedded in over the last month but have lost none of the high end articulation and sound absolutely fantastic. Can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for short scale half-rounds (or whatever they're commonly known as).
  7. Jim bought a pedal off me, paid and confirmed receipt promptly. Extra marks for being super helpful about some questions I had and for being a pleasure to deal with in general.
  8. Fully herniated L5/S1, treated it so far by building up legs, core & upper back to take as much load off my spine as possible and I use the lightest bass I can stomach (SG). Even with all that the strap still makes a big difference, a standard 2 inch leather / nylon strap gets uncomfortable within an hour where as a wider, padded one can sit on my shoulder for much longer before the weight becomes an issue. Love playing my Jaguar but I end up paying for it the next day if I carry it for a full two hours, so I've been pretty much short scale only for the last couple of years.
  9. Fantastic stuff, will give them a punt then, thanks again.
  10. They look absolutely perfect, cheers chief, in stock in the UK to boot. How have you found them over time, a couple of the comments remark that they settle in to a "mellow" flat sound, do they maintain much of their initial brightness once they're worn in?
  11. Looking for a set of short scale strings with the feel and low string noise of flats while retaining the high end articulation of rounds, if such a thing exists any more. Used to have a set of D'Addario SS XL Half Rounds which were absolutely bang on the money, but it doesn't look like they make them any more sad face emoji. Heard good things about GHS pressurewounds too, but can only find a single light gauge set listed anywhere and no-one has any in stock, boo hoo. Anybody know if these are still a thing? Super annoying that they've got like half a dozen names for the same thing too, doesn't make tracking them down any easier.
  12. 2 pickguards for a Fender Player series MIM P/J Mustang, one tortoiseshell, one black pearl. The tortoiseshell one came fitted on the bass when I bought it, got the black pearl as a replacement but it has a glittery, 3D-type effect that I wasn't keen on. The black pearl was only fitted for a week or so, both are in excellent condition. Don't have a picture of the tortoiseshell one fitted but here's the catalogue image for reference: ..and the black pearl (more of a dark grey IMO): 15 notes each including postage, or both for 25.
  13. Sansamp BDDI knockoff, sounds great, only bought it two weeks ago but I got hold of this new and improved version like two days later, so you, dear reader, get to buy this old and inferior one! ...and the obligatory youtube review: 20 notes posted.
  14. Vox amPlug2 Bass headphone amp / silent practice tool for sale, packaged as new. Plugs into your output jack, has a 3.5mm headphone socket and an additional 3.5mm aux in for playing along to your phone / mp3 player. Comes with a bunch of gain & tone settings as well as some in-built drum patterns to play along with. Amazon page here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/amPlug2-AP2-BS-Headphone-Amplifier-Rhythms/dp/B00NAUKJTY/ And the least annoying youtube video I could find here: 20 notes posted.
  15. Bought a drum machine off Steve, very easy, hassle free transaction. Great comms, was posted first class the day after payment, turned up packaged well and the item itself was in mint condition. Steve also managed the license transfer for the associated software quickly and without issue. Two thumbs up.

  16. They're still purple and sparkly, but it's a much darker colour, looks black unless there's a light directly on it. Very difficult to photograph showing the true colour.
  17. Just tried it with a chain of bass -> suspect analogue pedal -> digital pedal -> amp, and with the bass volume fully down the noise issue is still there. Also noticed that from cold (i.e. the power to the pedal chain just turned on) the signal initially "bleeds" up to full volume like this, so it sounds like there's definitely something funky going on with the analogue pedal. Unsure what to tell a repair shop tho, other than giving them all this info.
  18. True dat, and 2 for 1 at the minute, hmm...
  19. I isolated the power supply to both digital pedals when they were playing up as a first test (most of the rest of the chain were sharing a 5-way adapter, but the pedal under test had it's own 9v adapter going straight into the wall) and the problems persisted then.
  20. Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask this. I've got an analogue overdrive pedal with multiple outputs that I basically use as a splitter, only occasionally engaging the drives themselves. I've noticed a couple of my digital pedals really don't like being downstream of it, they start kicking out weird oscillating effects or feedback-y howling / rushing noises (thought the digital pedals were on the blink initially, but they're fine in isolation and the problems only occur when chained after the OD). Is that a sign of something dying / going wrong inside the overdrive, or is just bad luck and some pedals don't play nicely together? I've been meaning to get a dedicated splitter anyway but could do without the extra expense at the minute (or a bench fee for opening up the overdrive if there's nowt wrong with it).
  21. Yeah, I tend to use my right forearm to hold the bass at the angle I want rather than relying on the strap, I move about a lot and adjust the angle and position all the time. And obvs with an SG that thing wants to divebomb like a kamikaze pilot. Ooh, that looks good, shame about the plastic extender (I love how the two piece ladder designs don't "sag" over time) but probly the best I've seen so far. Memory foam FTW, it's soooooo comfortable.
  22. That looks great, but are both sides suede or is one finished leather? Like to be able to move the guitar up and down without pulling my tshirt with it.
  23. Ooh, they look nice. The couple of 4 inch ones on Amazon only seem to have two slats in the "ladder" tho, is that normal for Leathergraft?
  24. Those Double Thruster pedals are insanely good, they're so close to the B3K as to be pretty much indistinguishable. This fella on the YouTubes put up a glowing review of the Joyo clones, and Darkglass made the decision (or mistake, depending on how you look at it) of sending him the originals so he could A/B them. He did, and here's the result: The Monomyth isn't quite right, but the Double Thruster is pretty much 100% bang on (starts testing the Double Thruster at around the 1:30 mark). 35 notes for one of these is a steal.
  25. What the Christ is going on with those Lekato product videos? Both of those amazon pages have videos at the bottom with stone cold freaks spouting a load of incoherent shite over the absolute worst background music.
