1. It sounds good. It is a very harmonic full sounding set of strings. I normally play 45-105 but with the Gallis that doesn`t matter that much.
 2. you should give Galli Rockstars a try , but they have a 40 at 100(RSB43). Fotr me one of the best sounding nickel plated rounds
 3.
I cant here in the UK. Ive not tried using a VPN but i would say most people here wont be able to view it.
Thank you very much, you may be so kind to use this link at youplayalong from marlowedk. it has a really bad compression, but therefor no restrictions due to copyrights. 4. Due to restrictions of WMG, you are not able to watch this in the USA( a friend of mine told me) and not in germany. Are you able to watch that video above in the UK?
 5. 1st take, so not 100 percent accurate, i also had some rendering/picture sound synchronization problems. so this is the best result i can get out of it. Before you ask, the sunglasses are not for sale^^ they belong to my wife
 6. I use a Tribal Planet double Gigbag. as they were years ago not available in germany i ordered them in UK. They are really great..and in your price range I have this one
 7. In the eighties a friend of mine brought these Pickups from the USA. The should be used in a vintage Precision Project i wanted to start..nearly 25 Years later i think, i will never start this project^^, as i was always in love with complete vintage Fender basses. So i never used them and they were kept in my drawer nearly 3 decades. As you can see, they have the 57 Pickup raised A-Polepieces, which you were never able to buy as a Replacement. those pickups were also used in the first JV basses, which are very sought after especially those with raised A-polepieces. Nowadays those pickups are only used in the better 57 RI American vintage basses. Your chance to get an old vintage raised A-Polepiece Pickup with authentic sound. Price including shipping in Europe is 120 GBP. If you have further Questions, do not hesitate to contact me. See also my feedback thread here on BC.
 8.
I too use Grolsch tops, always have. I bought some strap locks once but just prefer the ease of the red rubber ring. No modifications & away you go.
so do i, very easy, you can also get blue coloured ones, so there are not so eye-catching.
Can someone please explain how the Grolsch bottle seal holds your strap on?
9. nice rig! ahh..now i see..not many V6 players out there, welcome also here disssa (it`s me, Maurice)
 10. Maybe an older package waiting in the store for you? The newr ones have no recognizable coating anymore, due to this i was surprised about that these were elixirs. your strings, were they shiny as normal steels?
 11.
and within a week the coating started to flake off over the fingerboard and where I pluck. In fact, some of the coating got under my nail on my right hand, middle finger and caused an infection! I won't use them again.
The newer ones no longer have that disgusting coating
 12. Imho just keep it as natural and passive as possible and you will find everything you are looking for
 13. I would recommend the Yamaha NE-1, the magic weapon with a J bass, setup: shallow roundabout 1 o`Clock. Try it, you will get them cheap..the only thing a Jazzbass needs, sad thing about it..you will get them only second hand, as they are not produced anymore. 14.
and the rest of the band members to look like they are wearing yesterday's clothes. Suits me just fine!
This is vintage look and roadworn
 15.
mmmmmm candy!
looks like candy is in the middle
 16. What matters is the difference
 17.
What Howard said Just checked my '57 AV case (came with V s/n P-bass bought last year) & it looks identical to OP's pictures, without the wear, + mine has a G&G - Fender original Case - label inside. I'd say it could be anything from '83ish to present, not much help am I? Unlikely to be '60s though!
The inside material is different too. Just checked it. The case you see on my pictures has a really smooth, mellow material like orange plush the 57 RI Case is completely different to that
 18.
Well I am not too far off 70 and can confirm that the memory fades.....or at least I think that's what I just said.
Don`t know for sure..but to avoid misunderstandings..what i wanted to say is, that i wouldn`t question what you have said. But i wouldn`t do that for the other gentleman as well. So it is me, who is confused and i am far from 70:)
 19. 20.
I find I'm in complete agreement with myself - just checked the 1982 tweed case I still have and all the details you have pictured match mine.
I am wondering, as i would never doubt your knowledge. The guy i bought the bass from is a very honest nearly 70 year old gentleman, who gave the case additional as a bonbon for free. So he has no profit of telling that this is a 1967 case. Maybe he mixed up with his other stuff or maybe there is a second truth.
 21.
http://home.provide.net/~cfh/fender.html#cases
according to the page this is max a 1963 case but latches seem to be different
 22. With my 64 P Bass came a Fender Tweed case, the previous and first owner told me, that he is not sure, when he bought the case, must be around 1967 he said. As i know that there is a book like vintage price guide for cases, maybe one of you is able to date this case here more exactly or confirms the year 1967. I know only a little about vintage cases, so every hint you give will be really appreciated. If there is even someone how could say something about value, it would be nice too, if not no problem..i will not sell it:) just to have the information for me. Thanks in advance for your kind help here are the pictures. I do not know which parts are important for dating, but i presume colour inside and latches?
 23. Noone has seen these before?!?^^
 24. Hi Guys, today i received 2 of these straps with an old P bass. Does anyone know details about them, are the vinatge?maybe what years?or are these newer ones? What are they worth? Is anypone interested? Thanks in advance for your help
