3.
I'd say - as your Dad owned it for 42 years & then handed it down to you - it's worth £MILLION$ in sentimental value I for one would never think of a gift like that in monetary terms & certainly never consider selling it.
Oh please excuse me, please do not get me wrong..i do not think about the money, i could make with this bass. sure it is a priceless emotional value and i am not thinking about selling this bass. i am more a vintage precision(splitcoil) player and own some vintage jazzbasses, so i am not familiar with this kind of basses. i really know exactly what worth my 68 splitcoil precision has got, but would never consider selling this bass. my father and i were talking about what would that tele bass be worth today? so i thought it would be a good idea asking you guys.
I think you've copped the reverse karma I've been looking for. I'm looking to buy or rent my dad somewhere new to live, as I don't think his pension is going to afford much - you've obviously caught the positive reward from my good karma. I'll let you have my address and you can ship it to me Very nice, an absolutely fantastic gift from father to son. I'd hope, if you ever have children of your own, that you'll make a like gift.
haha.. pm me your address;) yes it was a great honour to get this bass, it sounds amazing and plays like heaven. if i ever will have children..i will call him leo - jamerson
4. This bass is owned by my dad from the beginning, since 1968. The bass was one of those really rare pink paisley tele basses, but after his hippie years..my father let a luthier strip of the finish and did some kind of clear coat on it. From 1987 on, the bass was only in a case, never been played again and now it was his present for me. So it is, that the bass is in an awesome condition, even the ashtreys, knobs are really shiny. The pickguard, which seems black is just the original plexi guard with black paper underneath. In the neckpocket and under the controlplate, you can still see the pink colour of that awesome former pink paisley finish. For me it is very difficult to tell a real price for the bass. I know that originla pink paisleys were sold for 12.000 to 18.000 usd, but without the original finish, the bass will never come near that.. So, whats your oppinion concerning the price. please share your thoughts with me. Thanks in advance
5. I recently bought a late 60`s P Bass, but only the knobs are replaced, so are too shiny for that monster has someone fo you an idea how to age those tone and volume knobs, so that they are matching the rest of the beauty? Are there e.g. some fluids on which the metal reacts and it will darken? did someone this before and has some experience to share? would really apprecciate this. thanks in advance
6. I highly recommend Anthomp! I just bought a RB5 from him, the bass is in perfect condition. The transaction was very smooth and fast and it was a pleasure to deal with him. This was, what i would call, a "Gentleman Deal". Thank you very much Antony, you are great all the best
7. you have a message claude
8. awesome Bass, if i wouldn`t own so much old Fenders..this wouldl be the one to grab. Good Luck for the beauty

It is a Fender 1957 precision neck, onepiece maple with vintage revers tuners. the neck is awesome sounding, has no fretwear, trussrod full working, straight as an arrow..and it is beautiful! Looking for 300€ plus shipping, located in germany
10. I want to start a Precison Project and i am looking for a body, MIJ, MIA, mex, colour all doesn´t matter. Thanks for your offer in advance

13.
I may be interested, but forum rules now dictate that feelers are no longer allowed; you must state an asking price. cheers Gareth
Sorry for that, i paid 800,- Euro and i think 650,-Euro will be a fair price for that perfect conditon and 10 times played fender preamp.
14. I already own 2 Tubeheads and this Fender Preamp was meant to be some kind of a backup and my amp for playing at home. I thought for some gigs i will need a lightweight amp, if i don`t wanna carry a lot. But i always want to have my tube amps with me..so this preamp is max played 10 times, so is the condition giving a 9,9/10. I formerly owned preamps of ampeg, trace elliot, swr, etc etc and none of them were in the near of this fender preamp. it is the best sounding tube preamp i have ever heard. Additional to the sound, it has some great features, which make the fender preamp the best choice for recording or live gigs. It is in perfect condition and comes including the footswitch, you can control the overdrive channel, fx loop, vari-q (some kind of parametric eq) and mute. I have no price in mind and i will be glad, hearing offers from you. 15. i recently bought a Fender 300PS from 1977. As told to me, the 6550 run very hot cause there were built for 600V and the Fender runs them at 700V. So, if you are not able to select the best from hundreds of tubes it is better to use KT88. Is that also your oppinion? Which tubes are your choice, which brand? Are there any Fedner 300PS fans here?
16. I want to sell my Fender TBP1 Preamp or trade it for an Ampeg SVT IIP Preamp. That`s why: The Fender Preamp Amp is the best preamp i have ever heard, you cannot sound bad with this jewel of amplification. It has everything for a great sound and more you will ever need for recording or live gigs. But I now own a Fender 300PS and a SUNN 300T and this is more i will ever need..the Fender should be a Backup for the SUNN but i need no backup and i dont want to carry less than that SUNN due to the tone this guy produces. After i had a really good chance for the 300PS and a price that you have to buy it, the fender gets redundant. The Preamp is like new all in all i played it around 10 times. It has absolutely new Tubes in it. Everything is 10/10. For details of the preamp please check http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=2247000010 for my feedback, please check http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=59127&hl and here are the pics, price is 666,- Euro. I am located in Germany shipping in the EU is no problem for me
17. Hi Guys i don`t have a need for these great pickups anymore, these are original 1979 Fender Precision Pickups, that i took myself out of my 1979 Bass.See also the stamp on the grey plate. The pickups sound awesome, but i replaced them with a kind of modern sounding quarterpounder on this bass. The are in an absolut mint shape as you can see on the pictures. What i am looking for in a a trade is a mxr octaver deluxe, an exar moby dick or an Ampeg svt II P preamp or an Ampeg SVP Pro preamp. I think you know the value of those awesome and rare pickups, so please make me an offer, adding money in both ways of a trade will be no problem for me. you may alos offer me something i didn`t mention..you never know:) here is the link to my feedback section Feedback
18.
Hi Gentlemen, I've contacted Maurice because I saw an "old" message on the board stating that he was looking for an Avalon U5. We agreed very quickly on a price and the transaction was over immediatly after : Maurice paid me via lightning wire transfer ! I've really appreciated this great demonstration of confidence. The best part of the deal was that I met a highly friendly guy, a very nice person : we had many bass talks as well as general discussion on life. I've realy enjoyed, Thanks again Maurice ! Michel.
It was also a pleasure for me, communicating and dealing with you Michel, thanks again and all the best for you
19. Hi guys, Michel contacted me, because i was searching for an avalon U5 unit and he wants to sell his. From the first contact on, Michel was e really nice and kind person and it was a pleasure to communicate with him. He keeps you all the time up to date and well informed, which is very important if you deal over 2 different countries, in our case germany and france. The avalon unit was exactly what he described and was in a perfect mint condition. If you ever think about dealing with FMICH, do it..he is a very trustworthy and kind person, there is not only one second to doubt of that you do the right thing trading with him. Thanks for all Michel and all the best for you..you are great!
20. hi guys, i changed the Pickups in my 1979 Fender Precision and i would like to sell the pickups. They are in an awesome condition for 30 years of age. please have a look at the pictures. Honestly i do not have a price in my mind, so i will be open for offers, don`t be shy:) I would also trade the pickups for something with the same worth, or equal with money to both sides
