1. I just tried the Fender Filament 7120 for the first time on a jazzbass and i love the tone. As they are discontinued, i stumbled over the Picato 777LN. Does anyone of you mates have experience with those picato strings?
2. Holy cow:) Congrats
3. I love sunbeams on a jazzbass. Other strings i recommend thomastik powerbass (expensive) or elixirs. And of course galli rockstar nickel as the second choice after sunbeams.
4. Though they arereally nice I have seen them for sale twice the price in this link http://www.gbase.com/gear/fender-fender-jazz-bass-ventures-1996-black-b
5. Hi guys, as my refinisher of choice had health problems and isn`t able to refinish my P bass, i am looking for alternatives. My 73 P bass has been stripped to natural long time ago and my wish was to refinish the bass in sonic blue. Important for me or better the assumption would be, that the colour and finish is as original as possible. Are there recommendations from your side, so that i could find the right person to do the job? A roundabout price, if you have an idea, would be great as well. Thanks in advance for your kind help.
6. Wow, very nice indeed. Thank you for hat recommendation..but i was looking for a less pro version, even less pricey as the original sennheiser one. But i have seen similar mic spiders for around 10 euro i think, i may give them a try. Thank you very much

11.
Have you lifted the scratchplate? There was a Fender bass on eBay recently that had half of its body weight removed by a hole saw. You would never have known unless you took the pickguard off.
You would never have known, because the person who did this, was killed by a group of assasins that came out of the dark, called... the leominati
12. so the bass is made after 87
13. If i remember correct, this basses were a mixture of mexican parts assembled in usa, they say, so they could sell as MIA.
14. You may have a look here, top of the pops pickups If you need help, just let me know http://www.haeussel.com/index.php?lang=en http://www.barfuss-pickups.de/
15. The 300t is an amazing head and in my oppinion one of the best heads ever made. You may check the new fender bassman pro series they are really similar to the 300t.
16. Due to the high price of the original sennheiser attachement for the microphone clamp (MZA 421 44,- euro) I am looking for an alternative solution to fix the mic infront of my fridge. Do you have some recommendations, another mic clamp that will hold the Md421 or maybe another solution? I want to avoid using duck tape:) Thanks in advance guys
17. 13?! Oh lord:)
18. Beautiful!
19. There is no 'rule' for that i think, but if you want to create one, here is my experience. The tele made of ash is mostly heavier than alder, but this depends on what kind of ash is used. The 60s p i have held and own are really light, as well as the earlie 70 ones. Following the timeline in the 70s the basses get more heavy, but as i said before, there is no asolute rule about that. Against the myth, that a bass that weighs a ton has also a tone of a ton is not right. The best sounding basses i have heard are the light ones, They are more resonant. But to make my words senseless, i have heard also amazing basses which seem to be made of ironwood
20. Here you have number 487, located in germany. This amp is my soundhome, best amp i have ever heard and my vintage fender basses Deliver the sound i was always dreaming of.

Feedback for uke

What a nice guy Gary is! I was looking for an ampeg basshanger in europe but didn't find a dealer only in US. But, uke started to contact me after my wtb thread and send me his basshanger.. Now the story gets remarkable..he sent the basshanger as a present to me! Gary, you made me very happy with this gesture. You are a really nice and kind person, thank you very very much! I absolutely recommend uke and would trust him blindly
22. ahh..now i got it..wasn`t familiar with the slang word^^ maybe i should fix that fast usually, if you recognize her with a dong, you havent got much time to fix that
23. John, you are one hero of the bassketer bass story! With no gain for yourself you let a desperate situation for me end with a happy end. You made it happen, that after a person tried to fool me, i received that bass out of your hands. You a re farely more than a moderator, you are a top bloke. Chapeau to you John! Mess with one, you mess with all..you live that! Thank you very much for getting the bass for me, for annoying and displeasing moments in my name. I will never forget this. if you want to read the details of this story, please follow the link http://basschat.co.uk/topic/166617-basschat-and-the-8-string-p-bass/
