4. In my oppinion it is worth the weight. i also had lightweight rigs before..i was so happy..walked in the hall smiling, set up my rig smiling. after that i walked out again to help the guitar player with his heavy all tube marshall, not smiling, put it on stage, not smiling. after that i helped the drummer with his heavy drums, not smiling, put them on stage, not smiling. no i take my sunn or svt smiling, put it on stage..smiling;)
5. do not sell the case. i like black pg on natural 70 p´s my stripped 73 p will be refinished soon in sonic blue, thats the time when she gets a white pg too
6. First bass owned: Fender Precision Go-to bass: Fender Precision Your bass: Fender Precision sorry^^
7. yes the tone is really "classic", but it has a loud vent noise. it is caused by the holes in the steel plate, as i learned before. to be honest..this amp always has to be louder than the fan noise:) in comparison to my sunn 300t, i have to say that they are both soundwise neighbours, the sunn is more versatile, has more features like di-out, tube compressor onboard etc, but the skunkwork svt has that tone, that can only be heard out of ampegs..i love that
8. ..bought one, love one:) feels like coming "home"
9. you may check the tribal planet double gigbags..i like mine http://store.guitarcore.com/gsx5.html

12. Free bump for a nice bass and "grüssle nach Österreich"
13. Just take the yamaha ne-1 outboard "pedal", the best sounding jazzbass accessory you will find..and it is cheap..so your wife will be happy as well
14.
Maybe in standard form but my Warmoth with quarter pounder (quarter pounder for sale soon) would take your head off without so much as a by your leave
You do not need a quarter pounder for this;) all standard bass in this short playalong http://www.youplayal...-free-playalong What i meant is,It is more where the bass is in the mix and where you are you used to "look" for it sorry if this was misunderstanding
15.
It would be one of a kind as it was me that ordered it originally from Warmoth and its came back to me via Austria and Germany.
Amazing..so the circle is complete and the bass found its way home
16. Yes, sorry^^ i am really busy at the Moment. This bass is so one of a kind that i would be surprised if it is not the one of germany:) Nice bass indeed, hope you enjoy it
17. may i ask, if you bought the bass from a german guy?the bass looks familiar to me
18. Sunbeams and JB is the best combination in my ears
19. I do not think that the bass gets lost in the mix. I pressume your ears try to find the bass sound in the mix, where you are used to find it. I had the same "problem" while i switch from vintage p basses to a 68 tele. The play different roles soundwise, are located different in the mix. The sc is not so aggressive, is more restrained than the splitcoil. I love them both
20. good luck for your sale, it is a beautiful bass..
21. I hope you don' t find someone to trade with and you keep the bass... Hope you don't mind my "bad" wishes
22. Thank you for sharing this information. Anyone else?
23. In the 80s Ampeg did those SVT Skunkwork reissue heads with a run of 500 pieces. Does anyone got an idea what those heads are worth nowadays? Soundwise, what is the difference to the actual SVT or a 70s SVT? Thanks for your help in advance
24. i would try dr lorider steel(!)maybe the 110, really long lasting and good for rock and plec sound... or if you prefer coated, i would give the elixirs a try did you consider flatwounds?seems paradox to your preference..but maybe with d´addario chromes you will hold a brighter level for a long time, also you get a hard punch and attack with plec in a rock context
