1.
It seems buying a cheap soldering iron produces cheap results. I'm having trouble melting the solder in the two unconnected terminal on the output jack (see below) - it just wont melt!
As far as i know, it has nothing to do with cheap. Due to RoHS certifications, they have to change the consistency of solder. So if you are having a weak soldering rod, the solder will not melt as usual. I did have the same problem before with some solder i bought new

 6.
........ and the fact that I use P'shop on a daily basis is mere coincidence. Another part of the factory, showing Lemmy Sig cabs being made;
Lemmy is not doing it himself???Or did you just forget to put him into the pic?
 7. These are betrayers. We have a lot of problems with those people here in germany, maybe it is a well organized and structured gang. It is always the same profile. mostly english or spanish names and emailadresses. they send you the money and after that, someone comes to pick it up from you..2 days later the bank transfer is invalid and the money is taken away from your account. so you do not have an instrument/amp etc anymore and no money as well..ripped sometimes they just want your bank details so the use them in another deal to get a third member´s item. kind of really popular at the moment. please do not do the deal..you will regret it. Maybe also interesting in this thread Ebay Scam

 10.
Cheers for that, I'm a funny bugger though, even though it's the same amp, I want a Sunn branded one
easy to understand
 11.
I would pretty much sell/trade the majority of my amps to get hold of a Sunn 300T! Want one pretty bad.
here is the bassman 300 pro version http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

 16. memories..i have seen them as being opener for Van Halen in Frankfurt..they were great sorry for offtopic and not being able to help you in this case
 17.
I think most of the "for" guys just don't want to get into yet another yes-it-is/no-it-isn't argument. They know what they know and they own the instruments to prove it.
i stopped discussing about that issue with others. It is like discussing about the waves of an ocean with one who likes or (has only seen ! ) the river. Everyone should believe what he wants. I owned several p basses modern to vintage. I now own mostly 60´s and 70`s Fender basses. You can hear the evolution of sound even from pre-cbs to early 70´s and late 70`s. Better or not doesn`t exist. how could left be better than right? They are different and it is up to you, to choose what fits your needs best. For me personally..the best choice and best bass i have ever played in my life ( and i played a lot) is my pre cbs 64 p bass. Lightweight, gorgeous playability, amazing neck and a tone which is heaven for me. There is no modern bass that can compare to this one in my terms of validation.
 18. and she is 14^^ hope you enjoy
 19. a beauty... good luck with your sale
 20. unfortunately completely stripped..only some pink in the neckpocket and under the controlplate cavity and the plexi pickguard survived^^ but they sound fantastic..thats what counts...but i wouldn´t regret if it is still pink paisley your basses are historical..but they are now in really good hands i think
 21. Congratulation..they are both beautiful! i am absolutely amazed.wow unfortunately my pink paisley has been stripped in the end of the 60s but now i can imagine more, how beautiful she was before that.. 2 treasures you have achieved.. you pirat
 22. there seem to be 2 different roadworn p`s out there. The first instruments delivered where really high standard, well choosen woods and high quality check, as they want to enter the market. A friend of mine has one of those early instruments and most of our friends played and listend to the bass were absolutely amazed about this bass. Me not..they are without a doubt good instruments, but in my oppinion they sound a little bit "too much", like a traditional one on steroids or somtheing like that. My friend confirms, that he had troubles while recording with that bass..he loved the bass but never got one with it. I listend and played to a lot of different p basses MIM , MIJ MIA vintage modern etc etc.. my humble advice if you have the money and if you hear the difference go for the standard, especially in a musical context or a recording, you will be glad about this decision. If this "little more" isn`t important for you or in your case you decided for a 2nd bass as some kind of backup or whatever.. you will be happy with one of those or maybe you should think about getting a MIJ from the 80`s for the same cash
 23. they look like d´angelico smooth rounds, their halfwound strings
