Carvin AC40 Fretless Electro-acoustic bass
Hi
This is a feeler for a lovely instrument that just isn't getting played and I'm still oggling other things. So......
Here's my Carvin AC40. £650
LR Baggs electronics. Vol/bass/treble.
The sound from this thing is amazing.
Its a 34" scale fretless ebony fretboard on a mahogany neck which feels really comfortable.
The action is perfect. So easy to play
Of course its an acoustic instrument so it's as light as a feather
Spruce top (I think)
Not sure of the age exactly. The serial number is stamped on the jack plate (62348)
There are a couple of tiny dings One on the end of the head (see pic) and also I spotted a small indentation on the edge of the side at the top.
I also have a Fender Jazz on here for sale.
I'm based in Malvern, Worcestershire but willing to meet up half way, within reason

I really love the neck on this bass and it sounds fantastic. But I’m after something lighter weight. Not that it’s heavy, just my other gigging basses are about 8lb or under.

HI
Here's my Fender Jazz Bass Made in USA in 2005 with original case
It has the S1 switch . This puts the pickups in series to produce a Precision type sound. -It does made it sound more meaty.
The body is sunburst with through body stringing.
The neck is lovely to play. There is something about the rosewood fingerboard I love the feel of compared to my maple neck Jazz. However, I am currently oggling something else so I've decided to sell.
It is wearing a black scratchplate. But I also have the original white one which has faded nicely to cream. So if you would prefer the white one I can easily swap it.
The previous owner had given to body a few dings along the way so I've tried to show them
The weight is 9.4lb which is about normal for a Jazz.
I am happy to meet up half way within reason. I'm in Malvern Worcestershire
Or can post if I have to for £35

Hi Mark
I bought it off ebay from someone who had been using it on a Fender Jazz. It didn't fit on my bass - VERY slightly too wide. so I didn't use it.
The neck is straight.
The frets look good. Just noticed a slight ding in the fretboard between fret 6 & 7. Tried to get a picture see if I can add it.
Tuner holes are 18mm
Nut is plastic and 38.1mm (1/1/2")
and the trussrod feels fine turns both ways with an allen key- but obviously Ive never had it on a bass
Hope this answers your questions OK.

Still available. Offers considered.
Happy to post. -
I think it's very slightly wider than my Squire jazz neck pocket

Yamaha SLB-100 Silent Bass with carrying case and Full Circle pickup fitted. £1200
OK this is it. Here for sale is my lovely Yamaha Silent Bass.
Bought on Basschat a few years ago.
It’s a stunning piece of craftsmanship and very organic to play – doing a good job at trying to replicate the positioning of a double bass. It’s comfortable to play.
Also the action is fantastic. I found it really easy to play and a great way to jump from electric bass to double bass.
When I got it, the pre-amp was very intermittent and the first owner had installed a Full Circle pickup. This is, of course, an excellent pickup and the sound from it is very satisfying. However, I did fix the pre-amp and that sounds pretty good too. I left the Full Circle on so I could use both if I needed.
Sadly my attentions have passed to an old acoustic double bass and the SLB-100 is no longer being used.
I don’t think it would be wise to post this precious instrument.
I am happy to meet up half way within reason. I live in Malvern in Worcestershire.

Will the the Jaguar fit Precision bodies? I.E. same heel width?
Look forward to the pix -
Can you tell me the weight of this bass please?
Cheers
