1. That's a shame. If they'd been 8ohm I'd have been on my way... GLWTS
2. Recently ordered this BDI21 from Amazon. Tried it a couple of times didn't get on with it. Tried to return it to Amazon but they reckoned it has flammable gas/liquids in it?! So they just refunded me the cost. So anyone want a new DBI ? The only thing it didn't come with is the example settings page, which can be downloaded from Behringer. Thanks
3.
Went for a wander around town yesterday to see if there were any bargains in the charity shops. Spotted a nice looking Aria Pro II Cardinal series bass in Cash Generators: http://www.cashgener...-ii-bass-cm1133 No idea if it's overpriced, but it was in very good nick for it's age.

Nice example but IMO a bit overpriced, £150-£175's probably fair enough for one o' them. J.
Popped into town last week and saw that this was now around £175.
4. Good old Cliff was a master of the bass face!
5. WASP's version is very good indeed. Probably the best thing they've ever done
6. It's got a different transformer to the MK-500.
7. Just using the JJ-500 won't make you sound like Mr Burnel. For one thing, the amp doesn't do dirt, grit or drive of any kind. It's a really clean sounding amp. It's loud and the 12 band graphic is really powerful. The Harmonic generator, or whatever it's called, is useful for getting a bit of "sparkle" (can't think of a better word) back. I really like mine, even if I got another amp I'd keep the JJ-500. The JJ is based on the MK-500, so think Mark King and not JJ Burnel and that is probably a better idea of how the amp sounds.
8.
Easy, play some ska!
We'd have to write a ska song first...
9. And the cost and waiting time of a new one
10.
Absolute music saying £159!! That's not too shabby!
If that's correct then this pedal has jumped right to the top of my want list. Then I'd have to figure how to use it in a punk band... EDIT: GAK say £165
11. How could anyone not have taken photos?!?!?
12. OMFG!!! I need that... And a Hog2...
13. Currently listening to Boxcar Aldous Huxley ( http://boxcaraldoushuxley.co.uk/about/ )
14. I actually bought a BDI21 from Amazon the other day. Tried it, opened a return item call and got a refund. The pedal really wasn't for me. But I got to try it out for free...
15. What about the EHX Freeze?
16. Looks interesting. I'll give it a go when I get chance
17. Get a rig to match your guitarist and fool him into loading 1/2 your stuff in for you...
18. Last time I updated the software it kept failing, for 20 mins I kept retrying and swearing. Then I'd noticed I'd left the Edit & Share program running.
19. Bowl of boiling water for 10 mins. Slid a Stanley knife blade between the epoxy and the case. Then slowly pulled the pickup out. Haven't thought about how to tackle the resin, just yet
20. Well the original pickup in my SB Elite finally died, the output of one half is much quieter than the other. So I after spending a while looking on the internet about replacements I decided to Frankenstein it a bit more, but this time it's reversible. I borrowed a pickup from my Dean bass: Whilst I was at it I borrowed the active preamp too Wired it all back as a single output and this thing sounds like a monster! I need to attenuate the Model One's output as it's overdriving the preamp when run full on. But mixed about 70:30 (Dean P/up : Dimarzio) it's bloody awesome. I managed to get the original Aria p/up out of it's casing, so now I'm going to see if I can find something to put in there. So it'll look a bit neater. But I think I may stick with it being active once I return the Dean parts to their donor bass
21. I'm sure I've ready something about the materials and construction being different. I can't say I've noticed much difference between them The cynic in me agrees with you about the name and silks
22. In the last 4 years I've only seen one new Trace Elliot amp being used live, by Godflesh, and I think I've seen close to 400 bands in that time. I remember when it was an exception to not see a TE rig on stage.
