I had a feel of one of these at Wunjo. Didn't have time to plug it in tho. Really lovely in the hands. The finish is great, and it doesn't weigh a ton like the Mexican version. I thought it very light weight and totally different to the others
That's not what I wanted to read!

Probably should clarify. E.G. Set up say patch A0 to have no FX and A1 to have the 3 FXs running. Hold the left button down to get to the patch mode. then use the middle and right footswitches to move between A0 and A1. I did set up my B3 so alternate patches were either FX or no FX then you could hit either UP or DOWN to get to a neutal patch.
-
have a neutral patch set up and then have the B3 in Patch Switch mode (hold left hand foot switch down). Then you can switch in and out of the effects patch.

No, you can't merge effects into one slot. There are Dual Effects though near the end of the list

Best cabs to go with a 4x8, Another 4x8 or a 1x15
bartelby replied to AsterL's topic in Amps and Cabs
I've got a 4x8 and a 1x15. I much prefer the tone of the 4x8. The lows sound much richer than those from the 1x15. I'd love to get another one... Er, and another 1x15... -
Although not an actual NIN album, I would highly recommend giving the "Natural Born Killers" soundtrack a listen. Another well put together Trent Reznor project.
That's the album/film that properly got me into Leonard Cohen!

After a brief exchange of PMs I popped over to Cardiff and picked up the Mesa cab Simon was looking to shift. What a gent! Everything as described. He even brought it down from the loft before my arrival. Totally nice guy! As others have said, deal with confidence. Many many thanks Si

I got into Metallica just before Master of Puppets came out. I must be in a tiny minority of fans that think St Anger is one of the best albums! Heavy, chunky riffs and no solos... Perfect. Just a shame Lars' snare had broken and no one noticed. Death Magnetic is awful. Long repetitive songs, each with 20-30 "endings"
It just sounds like a bee-in-a-jar, not overdrive at all, a mild fuzz maybe. The blend just makes that rubbish effect less distinct.
With the lower gain and low mids boost mods it's quite a good pedal

Steve Harris was the first one to really start me listening to the bass, in the early 80s. My dad then made me listen to a load of The Who, so Entwistle was next. Cliff Burton really caught my attention, but it was Billy Sheehan and Les Claypool that made me want to buy a bass for my 16th birthday These days my main influences are JJ Burnel, Mike Watt and Ben Shepherd
Sounds damn intense to me, then again I'm more of a 'spectator' rather than a participator now, I like my teeth too much to lose them regularly haha! Can't imagine Pino does either, maybe it has calmed down a bit!
The onstage antics have definitely calmed down. When did Trent last smash his guitar or mic stand into a keyboard as it's still being played? Pino would be fine, he could stand near the back or sides of the stage to make a quick exit...

Conversely I tried a copy and thought it was ok, then when I tried the genuine article I hated it. The copy was far better. Would you want copies to exist then?

I ordered a Gator rackcase from Thomann, it arrived in 2 days . No issues. -
Nine Inch Nails, all of it!!
Fair point, my NIN perspective probably isn't as broad as everyone else's!! I was just lucky not to be squashed to death in what felt like a sauna. Not quite the same hah!
Sounds like a proper NIN gig! The first one I went to my mate got his ear practically ripped off. The last one I went to I came away with 2 cracked ribs and one broken one... We collectively survived a few inbetween those too. EDIT: The level of aggression that Trent whipped up at the first gig was unbeliveable. No fights actually broke out but it was just brutal!
, but seeing them in London last month they are still very much an aggro band, admittedly it was different to their festival shows, though.
I've not been to see them live since The Fragile tour. But the newer performances I've seen on youtube seem a lot less aggressive than the early days. The first time I saw them in Goldwyns in Birmingham I felt lucky to get out unharmed.
-
It's a totally different NIN. Less aggression, more poppy. There's loads of full length 2013 tour videos on Youtube. EDIT: also it's Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, and Trent swapping bass duties, live, at the moment
-
Late 80s is when I saw them. I was meant to go to the gig that trashed the Hummingbird in Brum, but didn't bother.
-
Good god! I haven't heard the Macc Lads for about 20 odd years!! Saw them live a couple of times. One gig the air was so thick with weed the entire crowd must have been stoned!

Rich Bitch Studios broken into last night....
bartelby replied to tredders's topic in General Discussion
Used to use Rich Bitch with my 1st band in the late 80s. Last time we used it Pop Will Eat Itself were rehearsing for a tour in the room next door. -
It must be your fault then
I'll test that theory next week when I see UFOMammut, but I'd rather not kill their Matamps... EDIT: Thinking about it, at the gigs this year where amps have failed I've been standing at the back!!
-
He certainly is a big bugger. He also seems to have changed quite a bit over the years. He used to come across as a big friendly giant, now he's bloody intimidating! I was thinking last night that I've seen more amps failing at gigs this year than in any other year I can remember, And I've seen a lot less gigs this year. Dinosaur Jr in Feb, One of Lou Barlow's Marshalls died Dinosaur Jr in Sept. One of J Mascis' Marshalls died Soundgarden in Sept. 2 Ampegs It's only 4 amps in about 30 bands I've seen this year, but last year I didn't see a single amp die in well over 100 bands
