1. I saw Def Leppard on the Hysteria tour. I remember nothing about it apart from they had a lot of lasers in the lighting rig. Fortunately I've not seen Bon Jovi live...
2. I just used a mains cable I already had lying around...

New Zoom B3

Never even bothered trying it. I use Reason.
4.
Was about to say this, I'd recommend the blend route though as changing c2 is going to change the sound of the drive quite drastically!
I don't mind messing around with stuff. I was thinking of putting in a switch and keeping the original capacitor as an option. Maybe a 3 position switch. Plus a blend, maybe with bypass so you switch off the dry signal with a foot switch...
5. Excellent! I shall have a play over the weekend! Many thanks.
6. I built this overdrive pedal a while back. Whilst the actual drive is quite nice the loss of low end isn't. Is there anything I can change to give is a bit more bass? ta http://diy.musikding...n/zenschalt.pdf Or how to add a blend into it...
7. Sometimes I wonder why I sold my VT2-EQ/DI... I had a reason at the time, can't remember what... Wonder if my ad says...
8.
He's obviously a massively talented player and a really nice guy too. On the negative side his band were cheesy as hell and he spawned a million awful imitators. Yin and yang I suppose. On balance I like him so long as I don't have to listen to his records or his acolytes.
^^^ that.
9. There's a Slow Gear 'pedal' on the Zoom B3
10. Fugazi...
11. Spacemen 3 - Revolution:
12.
decided to chrome it using alsa corps Killer Chrome kit. I might top it with Prizmacoat too
I shall look forward to that. My old Dean bass has been Ford Fiesta Purple for too long, it needs a change...
13. I like one of the captions under a photo: "Some of the most obvious design differences between this first Steinberger bass prototype and production models are the rough texture of the composite body and the blade humbuckers." Yes, they're the most obvious!
14. I should add, that for the money it's a bloody marvellous pedal. And for long distance gigs or short sets I only use the B3 and not the whole pedal board.
15. Whilst the models on the B3 are pretty good, they don't sound the same as the pedals they're based on. The Bass Big Muff model is very close to the EHX pedal, but there's quite a difference between the ODB-3 pedal and the modelled version. I kept my BBM when I got the B3 and have since picked up an ODB-3. I have said, in a previous thread, that in a full band situation you'd not notice the difference. But there's certainly a difference in the ODB-3 . As I use the B3 on one loop of an LS-2 the tuner mute is pointless, so I still use a Polytune at the front of the signal path. The ODB and BBM are in the other loop BTW, both loops run at the same time.
16. I wish I was a great Hammond B3 (and Leslie cab) player. Mainly beacause it would mean I'd own a Hammond B3 (and leslie cab)... EDIT: and singing... to have the range and style of Mike Patton would be fine with me,
17. An Ampeg PF-500. Had 2 of them, both failed. Totally unreliable.
18.
they're fantastic! im only selling one as it's a spare and my other one has been fine forever!
I know they're fantastic. Used to mess about with one all the time in a local music shop..
19.
just buy one of my pearce BC1s and use it's insane signal routing to create tone nirvana!
I've been after one for years (Since they came out actually), the alignment of one being avaiable and me having money has yet to occurr...
20. They're meant to be a direct replacement of EB0 pickups aren't they? I've had a model one in an SB Elite for about 22 years. Until all the electrics went wonky (my fault) it sounded great. I really need to get that sorted..
21.
Has anyone got the newish 12 Band Tonal Emphasis Ashdown? If it has more "new string" sound than my MAG 600 I am interested. Is it all solid state? How about the Little Bastard 550 with 2 valve preamp? Aren't these amps less wooly?
I've got a British made JJ500 that's far from wooly sounding. Looking at Ashdown's new website they appear to have dropped the 12 band range
22.
And being at least 6 foot 3 in her Russian army officers gear certainly gets some notice.
I have images of Kristen Johnston being in your band now..
23.
Daft theoretical question before I go on holiday. Could you daisy chain say, 3, of the Behringer BDI-21, each with a different setting? Which might kind of equate to the 3 stomp buttons on the Sansamp but still be half the price? And, if so, which would/could you Di from - if any?
you could do and DI from the last.
24. Currently an "Ashdown"* 4x8" and 1x15"... * I say "Ashdown" as it's identical to their AMB Mini stuff but not badged. I do want to go bigger as I originally had a smaller amp head, now have a rackmounted head, which defeats the object of a compact setup.
25.
Get to the back of the queue
I only said I wanted one. Didn't say I could afford one...
