1. Phaser, overdrive, fuzz, distortion, envelope filter and line select... Even though I have seperate pedals for those I tend to just use my Zoom B3 these days.
2.
You are Royal-Albert-Hall-Sepia-Indie-ElectroProg
Awesome! This is now shifted to the top of my "must listen/watch" list.
3. What kind of music is it? Not having an internet connection at home is killing me! I've started a list of things I need to listen to/watch once I'm back connected to the outside world.
4.
Much you want for it?
Nothing. It works, but the knobs have gone missing. The shafts are there so you can still change settings. I'll have to find it first, I've recently moved house so things are in boxes. PM me an address and I'll send it ASAP.

6. I have the Behringer one, I don't use it. It's a bit battered, do you want it?
7. A few of my mates back in Cov go there a fair bit. I shall make sure they go!! I'm up in Cov this weekend for the Supersonic Festival in Brum. EDIT: Messages sent!
8.
Set up a band google calendar and make sure everyone keeps it up to date with their n/a's. Gives whoever is trying to get gigs for the band a fighting chance. I can understand his pain. It can be a thankless task trying to get gigs, particularly new ones. The struggles getting to speak to the right person, catching them with their diary / when they are not trying to run the bar, etc., so when you do manage to actually catch them and get a couple of dates free to find that all the effort is piss in the wind because someone else in the band suddenly is not available can be extremely galling. It's why my lot are likely to find that we don't have many gigs next year as I have got past caring

Yeah I would cut him slack, it's hard enough to get gigs and if you do get one but tell the venue " I have to check with the guys first" it doesn't go down well and having to make 5 phone calls just to confirm a gig is a real pain. then again he is a drummer so not sure if you have taught him how to use a phone Google calanders is a godsend. If you haven't book the night off then your gigging !!
I set up a google calendar last year. But having to tell the drummer, every practice, how to access it got a bit annoying. I know it's a nightmare trying to get gigs and he is the one who puts the most work in, and he is trying to get us out of the rut we're in at the moment. I guess I really need to sort out the google calendar thing a bit better...
9. My band's drummer is annoying me by booking us gigs without actually contacting anyone else in the band first. Then getting all stroppy when one of us says we can't make it. He's the only one without other commitments, so just ploughs ahead and confirms stuff...
10. Yep, standard A/B USB cable. You may need to do a bit of fiddling about in the Audio/Midi settings utility.
11. So when it suggested that Rob acquired the bass and returned it to the family, it should be: Rob acquired the bass and will happily sell it to the family for what he paid.
12. Does anyone want a big outdoor trampoline? I think it's about 14' diametre. it's got a ladder and poles for saftey netting, but no netting. It's in South Wales 6 miles south of Abergavenny. It's free if you come along, take it apart and take it away. Cheers
13. I've had one, one of the plain black, no logo'd ones, for a few months now and I love it. I got the JJ when I had to send the second AMpeg PF-500 back. I was done with light weight amps as I didn't like the sound. The JJ is about 12KGs and, according to Ashdown, designed to give you a loud clean tone. It doesn't really do growly without external help.
14.
MIke Watt made me become a bassplayer - I loved his line on Brave Captain - It was the only encounter I had with his music back in the day, as a kid watching Santa Cruz sk8 movies-just amazing!
Ha, same here. I have the Santa Cruz stuff on DVD now. Still watch it... and play along to the fIREHOSE stuff. I managed to speak to him last year at the Supersonic Festival. Nice guy...
15. It has been done a few times, But I'll add my usual list. Mike Watt Rob Wight Andrew Weiss
16. You can run the 2 loops in parallel. But it is only 2 loops, whereas you need 3. Sorry, scan read your post.
17. Boss LS-2? http://www.bossus.com/gear/productdetails.php?ProductId=150
18.
Perhaps thats why it won't track well for me then? it's somewhat of a gimmick though, I bought it for the size more than anything.
I have the full size one and never use the polytune bit.. I've found it's a tad inaccurate.
19.
You can, but it doesn't track that well on bass. Tuning strings individually as normal tracks fine though. Only difference between the mini and the normal Polytune is that the mini won't take a battery, It has to be powered by psu.
They must have changed it then. Originally they said no polytune in bass mode.
20.
I haven't bought one yet, but after looking at a lot of video's on Youtube, the TC Electronic Polytune or Polytune Mini look very good. You can strum all the strings at once (even on a bass) and it'll show you exactly which strings are out. Playing a single string will then zoom in like a normal tuner. The Mini doesn't take a battery, so is only a good idea if you're running a pedalboard.
You can't strum on the PolyTune mini, as far as I know.
21. Well, that was bloody tough to choose just one!! I actually like all of them, can I vote for all of them?
22. I did a few gigs where the promised backline didn't appear, or when it did appear I was told to not adjust anything (which was fair enough as I was borrowing it). So I DI'd from my Sansamp or DHA, and ran into the poweramp in of the backline. It worked fine...
23. I've had one on my Aria SB Elite for over 20 years. One replacement lever, that was free, in that time. I'd get some for my other basses too, but I get distracted by other things to spend the money on...
