I love my JJ-500. Prior to that I had Ampeg PF-500 and before that a MarkBass LMII. The Ashdown is by far the best sounding amp I've had. And more reliable than the 2 PF-500s.

You should be able to update the firmware the same way you could update the G3.

Ryan Molloy is a pretty good replacement! I still listen to the 1st FGTH album now and again...
