1. Somewhere I may have the Ashdown badge from the spare grill you gave me. So it someone buys this and really does want a badge I can send it them... provided I find it... EDIT: These 4x8" really are great cabs. They push out a hell of a lot of low end for their size.

 6.
And... if anyone knows what effect(s) the bass player (Commerford?) is using, I'd be grateful...
Getting back to the point, this kid gets a pretty good tone.
 7.
No way! The drummer smells.
They all do, don't they? Is that why they did the video on the top of a building? Plenty of ventilation!
 8.
Cochise by Audioslave. Learning it as an opener for our set. EPIC! Not sure where we're going to get all the bloody fireworks from, though.
Don't forget to do the group hug.
 9. A bit of Justin Broadrick:
 10. 20 years ago today Angel Dust was released: I also remember this performance very well (I was doing naughty things to the girlfriend when this was on):
 11. My band keep taking about getting 2nd guitarist. It always was a 5 piece until I joined (the other guitarist left just before I joined). I prefer 4 piece, but I'll give it a go with another one. If I don't enjoy it I'll leave the band.
 12.
I think a splitter/summer that has multiple outs/ins with a filter on each out. So for example, if it had 3 outs, you could have the 1st out so it just sends lows (stuff below 150hz), the 2nd sending at @ 3-400hz & the 3rd sending the higher stuff (all filters adjustable with just one or two dials) so you can put different effects on each & then sum them back together within the said pedal. Each "in" with a level control to balance them up & maybe the ability to invert the phase on each one too.
So a nice simple pedal? I like it!
 13.
Are they so great and trustworthy, and consistent, that you would happily purchase one new without trying it?
I bought my Steve Harris sig new and untried. As far as I can tell it's fine. It is a Japanese made Fender though, not sure I'd buy an American or Mexican made one unplayed.
 14. Finally got around to taking a photo of my set up and a bass (all acquired from BassChat):
 15. If I had the money I'd be interested too!
 16. I bought some cheapy ones off eBay. Black neoprene covered fingers, 2 screws into the wall. Think I paid £11 for 6. They've been up for 2 years or so, no problems.
 17.
Here's my new rig, Markbass TTE500 head and two NY151RJ cabs. Tube pre, tube compressor, tube eq, analog power supply. Very loud, and very tubey!
So that's what you sold the Ashdown stuff for? Very nice!!
 18. Yep, I too have bought loads off them. I always get them to price match (usually against Thomann).
 19.
Checkout 'bob log III' mate. That should open your eyes to what can be done in a very interesting and super cool manner. Met the guy at the charlotte once. Absolute legend!
Bob Log III, I'd forgotten about him. Seen him a few times live. Brilliant! Also Le Petite Vodo does the same sort of thing.
Why not? It worked for Sisters of Mercy and Carter USM. Better than a drummer too, in that you only need to punch the information into the drum machine once
He's not talking about only using a drum machine in the normal sense. He wants to trigger stuff live.
 20.
I'm from Cwmbran myself but have been away from there 25 years now so its probably changed a bit.
I don't think it has... Oh, and welcome to the newbies!
 21. I ordered online too, but as it was shipped from Bristol that's where the central customer services diverted my call to. I explained that it was the 2nd one that had failed, I don't want a replacement as I don't trust them and they had nothing in stock suitable at that price point. I also mentioned there were a number of threads on internet forums from people with similar issues and it's was probably a widespread problem. The manager was happy about that and refunded the money there and then.
 22.
a quick and crap update, Tried it in the studio, running two mark bass cabs into 4 ohms, same problem after about 5 minutes. Digital village won't swap it because it's outside of their 30 day plan. could take 2-4 weeks to fix. That is crap customer support/service. what I have learned is that I won't be using digital village again!!
Really? They refunded my amp no problems, and it was 6 months old. It was the 2nd PF-500 I'd had. I dealt directly with the store who shipped it to me, which was Bristol. The decision to refund, or not, lies with the store manager.
 23. When I use a plectrum it's the yellow Tortex ones. I can't remember what gauge that is though... EDIT: .73mm
 24.
Which version is this on dude?
The new one.
