New Zoom B3

Just ordered one. Put some stuff (non musical) up for sale on a different forum last night and sold it all with in 20 mins! Now just have to sit and wait...
2. Nope. It was a nice Aria Pro II Cardinal Series Deluxe, but I part-ex'd it for a SB Elite.
3. Due to putting the house on the market and needing to de-clutter, as much as possible, plus I'm not going to have any time to play this for the foreseeable future. I've decided to sell my NXT4. It's in Sunburst (according to NS Design, or Amberburst according to Bass Direct). In fantastic condition, it being only a little over a year old. Currently strung with D.Addario Helicores, but comes with the original D'Addario NS strings. Obviously comes with the padded NS Design, padded, gig bag and the nice and sturdy tripod stand. I'm looking for around £SOLD for this. I can deliver up to 100 miles away from Newport, South Wales for cost of fuel. I'd rather not send it by courier due to the difficulties in packing it safely enough to endure shipping. Piccies: Cheers.
4. Lots of nice doom/sludge stuff mentioned in this thread!! I'll add Om (starts of medium speed then slows down about 10:30 in):
5. There's also the fact it's your bass. If you don't like them don't have them. If you do like them, get them and sod what everyone else thinks
6. None in Wales yet. I guess the Royal Mail are having difficulty with the snow... EDIT: Just for home to find they've arrived! Along with a Rotosound pen and keyring! Many thanks to all those involved!
7. When my band plays gigs we're lucky if any of us have got a monitor. We just get on with it.
8.
Why would you have rogue cabs like that available in a rehearsal room? He could at the very least have warned you about it!
No idea. But now I store my amp and cabs down there it doesn't really matter. Of course if the cab was so dodgy to have caused major problems with the amp it'd be a different story. I wonder how a full vale amp would react to a dodgily wired cab (sounds like it could be running lower than 4Ohm) But is has made me a bit more confident in using the Ampeg live...
9. The drummer's apendix burst whilst quad biking across the Sahara. A 2 week break from rehearsal turned into 9 weeks
10. Last night I was talking to the guy who owns the rehearsal room we use. He was asking how my PF-500 was doing. I told him about how it cuts out if I use the Peavey 4x10 cab thats in the room. His reply was: "yeah, all my amps, but the Old Peavey Centurion, have cut out using that cab. A MB Little Mark Tube, a Peavey Tour 450, a MB LMII..." he listed a couple of others too. I guess it's his cab that caused the problem as opposed to the Ampeg having issues by itself...
11. Hmmmmm.... interesting! £160 though...
12. what to you call cheap?.. There's this, if it's still available http://basschat.co.uk/topic/166116-maple-eb-musicman-stingray-4-fretted-neck-for-sale/
13. When I first started playing bass I had a great distortion pedal, but it went in a part exchange deal. Over the last few years I've kept a 1/2 hearted look out for one. Then in 2010 I saw our own Joegarcia's band, ANTA, play. I then bought the album and listed to it everyday for about 6 months (I still play it at least once a week). In one part of the a song there was an amazing distorted tone. So I messaged him and he told me it was the same model pedal I had years ago. Since then I have checked ebay every couple of weeks. Then last week I found one and bought it. It arrived today in it's original box and is in mint condition (I probably paid more than the original price) The EQ is great for keeping low end (it'll be run in a loop and blended with a dry signal), my search for a distortion pedals over! I can't wait for this week's practice!!

Hmmmmm.... may have to have serious discussion with the wife later...
15.
Or get a new laptop
Why? It works fine for basic web browsing, when there are stupid animated gifs all over the shop.
16.
I see that nothing's been done about this as another huge animated avatar (over 500k) has just appeared. These are playing havoc with my laptop, any idea when the problem will be fixed?
My ageing laptop also can't cope with the larger animated avatars. When there's a page with a couple of different ones the browser totally locks up. I know on other forums I go on there's an option to hide avatars. Can this be done here? Of course the simplest option would to just limit the file size...
17. I remember, quite a few years ago, when my first band used Rich Bich (Bitch?) studios in Brum. We had Pop Will Eat Itself in the room next to us rehearsing for a tour and there were a couple of big name metal bands using a couple of the larger rooms above us. We couldn't really hear ourselves very well mind.
18.
Yes, that's the one!
Nice!! I hope to see many, many photos when it arrives.

I don't think this has been posted:
20.
Yes, in the larger studio I've used, the technician used to come in as we were packing up and helped coil the mic cables, re-arrange the stands etc so it was nice and tidy for the next band. And just checked we'd not nicked or trashed anything.
The one in this place used to check amp/pa settings as soon as he walked through the door. He took the time to talk to the band and find out what they wanted and then help tweak settings if necessary.
21.
makes perfect sense to me
Oh, if you did continually abuse the equipment you were banned.
22. One place I reheased at, in the late 80s, used to give you a battered Carlsbro combo for the first few weeks. If you proved you could be trusted you'd get access to better gear, ended up using a TE 4x10 combo. At the end of the sessions one of their guys would come and help pack away so they could check what you had done (and to set up the room for the next users). They didn't do this in an overbearing manner,so it didn't really feel like you were being watch like a hawk.
23.
Sorry what's going on? I'm getting some Rotos for free?
Looks like!

Checking the Thomann website just now and noticed this:
Availability of this item: shipment due to arrive on 05.03.2012
So that maybe around the time that other places in Europe get them too.
