1.
Eureka! I rang WD Music and they also have the on-on version in black and in stock. Link below for anyone who wants to bookmark it for future ref: http://www.wdmusic.c...|ON_BLACK_WDE9B Thanks for your help
Ha, I didn't click to see the second page of switches...
 2.
Thanks bartelby. The ebay and Allparts switches have flat/rectangular section toggles, I'd prefer a slim round toggle (like the Stewmac pic) to match what it's replacing. The WD one is close but the only black one they do is three way on-off-on - I'm after a two-way on-on. No pic on the Luthiers Supplies page so I'll give them a call and investigate further. Cheers

Just called Luthiers Supplies, they have no stock of the black DPDT micro switch and none on order. Apparently source them from Japan and delivery takes several months! So still looking ...
I thought it was a bit too easy!
 3. There's these: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item35b43ea8e4 bit expensive though.. http://www.luthierssupplies.co.uk/ has them in black chrome Look under Pickup selector switches then micro switches for coil switching or these: http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/product/MINI_SWITCH_ON%7COFF%7CON_BLACK_WDE10B or here: http://www.allparts.uk.com/online-shop/guitar-bass-parts/electronics/switches/mini-switch-dpdt-on-on-2-p-4055.html.
 4. Have a look at DHA (Dave Hall Amps) stuff.
 5.
Great stuff! Love the Gus too!
Never been too keen on Gus before, but they do look good when actually being used!
 6.
is there a difference ?
There is, but it's becomming less and less each day...
 7.
although as Skank once pointed out to me, they are massive backers of New Labour.. Building Societies are possibly a better bet ?
Arse! But then, it'd be worse if they backed the Tories..
 8.
spot on. we would all have to cancel our bank accounts, stop paying tax, stop shopping in supermarkets, and basically live in the woods and hunt our own food if we want to be ethical. where do we start ?
I'm shifting my bank account to the Co-Op, mainly because it's as ethical as a bank can be. So that's a start.
 9.
If you're lucky, you could probably find an OK one for under £1000, from what I've seen on here anyway, worst case £1500 I reckon. Probably about a 1/3 of the cost of that anniversary one... Eude
Yeah, that's what I thought... I had a mid 80s Warwick, for a short time, in the early 90s. Didn't really get on with it, sold it on dirt cheap. But since refurbing my '95 Corvette I've fallen for Warwicks...
 10. Having a bit of a Bristol BC members morning: First up Caricatures will be followed by ANTA
 11. That Warwick Anniversary Streamer is really nice! A bit out of my price range though... As a matter of interest how much would a Streamer from the 80s be worth these days?
 12.
Ah... but does it do drop-D? Still waiting for the software for the daddy Polytune pedal...
Have they still not released the update to the general public yet? The public beta was available in November, you just had to email them for the download.
 13. I've not really noticed a hum when soloing either pickup on mine. But I'm used to noisy basses so they might do.
 14. Looks like this will be my next bass related purchase. Cheers for the review.
It's arrived! Its metal, and solid and shiny! Much darker red than I thought, I'll let you know how it sounds a bit later...
GAH!!! Stop it!!!
 17. After using Rotos for the majority of the last 24 years I've switched to D 'Addario's. Rotos definitely don't last as long as they once did. The last set of Roto rounds were past the point of my liking in about 10 hours of playing. D' Addario's seem to last 4 maybe 5 times longer. I have a set of DR Neons on my Sringray at the moment, it'll be interesting to see how long they last because they sound fantastic!
 18.
I'm looking forward to joining the upright ranks. Thanks for all your advice too. i feel i have a tricky few months ahead! Chris
You lucky sod!
Just heard from the talkbass thread that these are made of metal and feel nice and solid. That's exactly what I wanted to hear Eude
Exactly what I wanted to hear, but not just yet...

 21. Beeswax polish ordered (surprising how hard to find that was. No supermarkets seem to sell it these days) from a bee keepers, now need to get some nice cloths. Had an email from Warwick to say they are processing my order, they obviously don't work weekends.
 22. In work so no youtube links. Currently - Alice Donut - Bucketfulls of Sickness and Horror in an Otherwise Meaningless Life
 23. I think the last band I saw at Brixton was TOOL. Sound was spot on for that.
