1. As I've previously mentioned. I bought a D-Tuner in 1988/89 then sometime in the mid 2000s I noticed most of the little arm had worn away . I contacted Hipshot to buy a replacement, they just asked for my address and sent me one.
2. Jeff Ament sig I like the [s]Turquiose [/s]Satin Kerry-green/Maple one!!
3. I was recently looking for a stacked pot for my Warwick, ended up going with a stupidly expensive MEC one, as it is exactly what I need. But here's a link to some fender type ones: http://www.guitarpar...centricpots.htm
4. These interest me, mainly because of Boris.
5. Great performance, and the Stranglers were pretty good too. A not particularly safe for work bit of footage.
6. I'm a big fan of Joe's. One of the reasons I wanted a black and maple Stingray was because that's what he was playing the first time I saw Fugazi. Last time I saw him he was using a white Jazz, but it's his Stingray tone that I always associate with him. What I like about his stuff the most is he doesn't play too many notes, simple but spot on baselines. I love Ataxia, my favourite John Frusciante stuff.
7.
You'd have to change the piping on those cabs again! ;-)
Can you get gold piping? Or would I have to use this:
8. A couple of years ago I bought a Corvette Proline off a mate. The bass used to belong to a mutual friend who plays in Skindred. The bass was pretty battered and missing the electronics, just a vol control. As I only paid £150 (£50 of which my mate gave me back a few weeks after buying it), I decided to use it as a project bass. As the fretboard needed some work I de-fretted the poor thing and wired up some simple passive controls, chucked some flats on it and left it at that. It sounded pretty crap, in all honesty, the output was very low so I've hardly used it. I've now decided to revamp it and bring it back to a decent usable condition. I just received the 3 band MEC preamp from bassmanady (cheers mate), ordered a new gold bridge and machine heads (2 of the original chrome ones were bent) and a stacked pot (and knob) to wire in a bass/treble control so I don't have to drill the bass. I've also ordered some warwick fret wire, incase I want to refret it. I shall update with photos as the refurb progresses.
9.
who isn't ? no, seriously, he was an amazing bassist and now a fully-fledged producer. i preferred his playing. Henry would fall out with anyone who took Aspirin.
Plus Rollins didn't like Weiss' on stage antics. Soloing in inappropriate parts of songs, playing loudly during quieter bits and trying to out perform Hank. I remember seeing Rollins band in 92, and Hank just kept glaring at Weiss
10.
Far more interested in taking drugs than playing bass apparently, which is why Rollins kicked him out in the first place.
And there was a bit of an ego clash
11.
Well the tubes are already horizontal in the VT2 anyway so you can just use the original mounts for those (a couple of nylon pillars).
They're vertical aren't they?
12.
all you need to hear... solo @ 3:14 , no guitar here, just bass in all its' glory and noise.
Wiess was/is such a great bassist!
13. Only you can decide if it's worth the extra to you. As for portability it's only 1 unit taller and 2lbs heavier than the Behringer
14. The Line 6 Pod X3 Pro looks like the best option
15.
nice, but doesn't have anything for guitar.
There's the Zoom G3 Ah, I take it you're looking for something that has both bass and guitar amp sims?
16. The new Zoom B3 is worth looking at. Due for release soon-ish. http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/b3/features/
17. [s]One set of used D'Addarios, cut for MM Stingray.[/s] Definitely won't fit on a P or J. Should fit on Warwicks, maybe some other 2 a side basses. Free to anyone who wants them.
18.
Apparently they don't endorse users outside of the USA, but are sending me a T-Shirt, Stickers & a George L's cable tester as a thank you for supporting the product so much
Nice, but knowing that means I'll not be using them, as I'd planned.

Behringer
...in your opinion...
Obviously. I don't speak for anyone else... Why do people only ever make comments like this if they disagree?

Behringer

I don't have a problem with thier other products. I have Behringer mics and mixer, I also had a rack tuner. They are very good for the money. But thier pedals are awful.
21. The Fender V was first produced in 1965. So I guess there's stuff from then with it. Not sure I'd call it "common use" though. EDIT: having checked it was more usual to have a high C on one though.
22.
Soundblox Envelope Filter Pro....
On my list too. Missed out just before New Year. Decided to delay my visit to Bass Direct by a day and they'd sold out. Also on my list: EHX Hog Zoom B3 Might get rid of my 4x8" cab in favour of another 1x15"
