1. I fitted some heavy duty castors to an old Laney 4x10, mainly so I could shift it around rehearsal rooms and once you're inside venues. But my mate decided to push it, rather quickly, along an uneven pavement. All I heard was a loud banging and turned around to see the cab sliding along the ground as my mate fell over the 4 castor he'd sheared off the bottom. The base plates are still on the bottom of the cab mind...
2. Now that is nice!!! I now like 2 Rics. The other is the Shadow.
3. The Jeff Ament sig sounds interesting!
4. Other item is a Squier Tele with a Fender Custom Shop decal on the back of the headstock. In "Pale Black" no less! I guess it's ok as he says it's a Squier, so no one can think they're actually buying a real Fender CS.

6.
And just for balance - Pro Tools is fantastic for sure - but Logic is amazing for writing/arrnging stuff and is superb for MIDI - so you might want to invest in Logic Express: http://www.amazon.co...25067884&sr=1-1 OK no more Mac plugging from me M
But the full Logic Pro is now available for less than that Logic Express, via the Mac App Store. 7. I use a Lumic TZ-7. It has surprisingly good sound. http://www.youtube.com/user/robonimal Pretty much all of these were shot with it. (the Pharaoh Overlord video is where I found the limit of the cameras mics. I was about 30" from the bass cabs of a loud PA)
8. OM This stuff makes me want a Ric!
9. My band has a song where there's a bass solo, almost by accident. When we wrote the song the guitarist couldn't come up with anything so I would just noodle about to mark out that section of the song. Unfortunately it stuck like that, so now I just improvise something each time.
10. My bubinga corvette was heavier than the 35" 5 string Ibanez BTB I had. It's a smidge under 12lbs IIRC
11. I'm pretty sure Billy had one neck tuned EADG and the other BEAD. Hey, it's got free shipping! What more do you guys want?
12. No one? Price drop plus opening up for offers/trade...
13.
Well I wouldn't chance it. If I could get that sort of money, it'd be gone just in case.
I sold mine a couple of years ago for 1/2 of what they go for these days. I didn't use it and fancied a new bass.
14.
If I had one I'd offload it asap. As soon as Akai cotton on, they'll re-release it and these insane values will drop.
I doubt it. They would have done it long before now. Even if they did, the crazy people would still want the 1st version as it would be better then an identical reissue. Akai have announced a whole new range of pedals and there's no synth pedal in there. EDIT: must learn to read all responses before posting...
15.
OK, so its DHA VT1 in the lead so far (features and price look good) .... any detractors or alternative suggestions?
I loved the sound of my VT2, but found it to be a tad noisy. So I sold it. Now on the look out for another DI. So far the contenders are a cheap(-ish) and cheerful MXR or the Darkglass.

Behringer

I recently bought the Vintage Phaser. Amazon were selling it for £16, so I thought it was worth a punt. It was repackaged and ready to be returned within 15 minutes of getting it and I ordered an EHX Nano Small Stone. Never buying Behringer FX again. They're cheap for a very good reason.
17. As this pedal is not really getting used much I thought I'd move it on. It's in great condition, sounds very nice. There's one square of velcro stuck to the label underneath. Unusually, for me, I can't find the box or instructions (not that you really need any). SOLD Cheers
18. I had one. Really liked it, found it comfortable to play. Wasn't any use in the band and sold it.
19.
Better than nothing as far as I'm concerned
Well it's better than Newport and it's one shop, GM Music, I suppose...
20. There's Crane's, GM and Gamlins, all more or less on the same street. All pretty much the same. RhysP describes them accurately...
21. Some nice synchronised moves around 1:25
22.
Got one on the way. Good sales job!
23. My first bass was a Cardinal Deluxe. At the time I didn't realise it was a shorter scale Discovered that fact after I'd part-ex'd it for an SB Elite and wondered why I got the wrong fret, every so often, for a day or two. But the Cardinal was great to play
