Oh yeah, epic live. Shout out to pain of salvation too. Never heard em before, but well impressed with the singer, sounded like Chris Cornell at times. Average bass player
I noticed the more interesting parts of the basslines was played by the vocalist/guitarist or the guitarist on their 7 strings.
3. T C Electronic have released a public beta of the new pedal update. You need to request it by emailing "][email protected] They've had issues with the download process on older windows OSes, apparently.
4. I have a twin loop pedal, but I want to modify it to have a simple blend (more like a volume control actually) on each loop. My idea is to: add a wire from 'A' to 'B' to keep a dry signal (possibly with a kill switch) Add vol pots to the loop returns 'C' & 'D' Would this work?
5. Stunning looking bass! But the first photo makes my brain hurt. It looks like it's a mini bass on a table top.
6.
Look at the grain.
I noticed that.
7. I've had loads of PMs about the strings. I'm waiting to hear from BurritoBass, as he asked first. But basically they've gone. I think I might have another set somewhere. If I find them I'll add a post here. Cheers guys
8.
James Lomenzo's Yamaha is pretty nice - you could move a lot of air with that, I reckon.
Ooh, I like that!!

He's never come across as arrogant to me. None of them have, they all seem down to earth and genuine guys.
10. I'm not after anything for them, a donation to the site is a nice idea though. PM your address and I'll get them in the post today. Cheers
11. I've decided to sell my Trace Elliot Quad Chorus. It comes with the original 18v power supply, but the plastic earth pin snapped off it. As it wasn't actually doing anything electrical I just used a small screwdriver to push the tab in the earth socket of an UNPLUGGED extension lead as I plugged it in. Rubber feet have long since disappeared, and there's velcro (hooks) on the bottom. But on the whole it's in good condition. I will include a printed copy of the manual. I should mention the manual says that high output active basses may clip the input. Manual can be found here: http://www.britishaudioservice.com/inst/QCHORUS.PDF Looking for around £60 + P&P, but open to offers or trades.

I went. To be honest Pain of Salvation bored the crap out of me. I could find nothing at all that I liked about them. Opeth were great, but the drum solo was a bit unnecessary. I have to say I was in the mood for a nice loud shouty set so I did find it a bit too mellow. The number of old rockers, who'd wandered in from the cancelled Motorhead gig, who stood around talking loudly p*ssed me off too.. Damnation is my favourite album, then Ghost Reveries.
13. I know there are some strange people on here who only like dead, lifeless strings. I'm having a bit of a clear out and found the following: [s]1 set of used Steve Harris sig Rotosounds. Flatwound 50-110 (cut for Fender P)[/s] [s]1 set of used Rotosound 77 Jazz Bass. Flatwound 50-110 (cut for Fender P)[/s] [s]1 set of used Overwater Flatwound. Medium gauge, IIRC (cut for Warwick Corvette)[/s] I might find more as the day goes on. If anyone wants them then give me a shout. Cheers B
14. I wish Gibson would do a Mike Watt sig (but leaving the neck pickup in too):
15. No contest. Steve Harris P [sharedmedia=core:attachments:46107]
16.
I have a used set of Helicore hybrids that came of my Eminence EUB and I'll be taking the Thomastik Superflexibles off my DB somewtime this week. Either of those float your boat?
Either of those sounds interesting. I'll send a PM later. Cheers
17. [s]Hi guys, I'm looking for some strings, new or used, to put on my NS Design NXT4. If any one has a set they're willing to sell for around £40 can you give me a shout? cheers[/s] Now got some lovely Helicores thanks to TheRev. Many thanks
18. Very poor for us. We had to train a new drummer. So lost a few support opportunities whilst getting him up to speed as well as during the time we were without a drummer. I think we managed about 6 gigs this year... o_O Still, on the up side I got an EB MM Stingray and an Ampeg PF-500.
19. As they're kept side by side I'd have chance to grab these two:
20.
What's the pickup in the neck?
It's a Dimarzio Model One
21.
That will work, but you will only hear it from one headphone and there will be terrible latency and distortion/volume issues. Not really an option if you ask me
Not at all. Run it through Garageband, the bass will be pannable and latency is a non issue as long as you're not running hundreds of effects on it. EDIT: After all recording real instruments is what GB was made for. You can import the backing tracks into GB too.
22. Just reviewing some of the video I took at the Supersonic Festival last weekend (Mike Watt, Antilles, Pharaoh Overlord, Electric Wizard and a couple of others). I think I may have found the audio limits to what my little Lumix can cope with.
