DHA DI-EQ
Top class pedal and amazing value. My only worry is the way the ground lift switch sticks out the side. I'm certain I'm going to break it off one day. Dave, any chance it could be recessed or protected in some way?
That's my only concern too...
  2.
You need to get one just to go with your bass & claim Stingring!
Out of any option I'd rather have the Lovetone Ring Stinger. just need to find someone who can build one for me...
  3.
It would implode from sheer blackness. (Yeah, would be nice, though...)
You'd have to have "Disaster Area" on there somewhere!
  4.
shouldn't this come with an Ebony board as standard....
Was just about to post the same thing.
  5.
Rick Mayall (assuming its actually him playing bass in "bad news")
Wasn't Rik the only one of the 4 who couldn't actually play an instrument?
  6. I can't decide which would be better, the patches in the EHX Ring Thing or the different waveforms on the Way Huge Ring Worm.
  7.
... this bass is amazing. Almost plays itself. I should have bought a stingray years ago, would have saved me alot of GAS money
I had a similar experience when I got my Stingray from Mylkinut the other month. Such a comfortable bass to play. I love using it, more than any other bass I've owned.
  8.
I know this is off topic but we're de-cluttering everything at the moment; shed, small bedroom, back room, loft, cupboards! I've found stuff I haven't seen for 25 years. I've had to hide a lot of it from the wife or it would all be recycled by now! Our house is now twice the size, so de-cluttering is good.
I spent about 6 months de-cluttering our house before the birth of my daughter. Did a good job, I'd say 3 large skip loads of stuff got given to charity, recycled or binned. In the last 18 months my daughter's stuff has filled in all the space I made and more...
  9. I once sold a load of music equipment (Roland R-8, Roland TR-707, TR-606, Novation Bass Station, Korg MS10, old analog drum brain and 4 Simmons pads) cheap, because I needed the room and some money. I regretted it instantly. So now I only sell stuff if it's going to be replaced by something similar.
  10. The cover on my Squier fits over a Gotoh 201 quite easily, but it comes nowhere near to fitting over a BadAss II.

    WITHDRAWN

I had one but the scooped sound annoyed me after a while so I sold it and bought a DHA VT2.
  12. Of course, if Justin Chancellor gave me all his stuff I suppose I'd be happy.
  13.
On stadium arcadium the vinyl had a different master and sounded much much nicer and more open/spacious. I'm actually thinking of buying an record player because there are now a number of new albums which sound better on vinyl.
CDs and vinyl should be mastered totally differently (as should digital downloads). Vinyl normally does have a much less compressed, wall of noise mastering. I'll always go for a vinyl option, if there is one (along with a download for my iPod).
  14.
Re-reading the OP. Get this and have it defretted.
That's a nice looking bass! There are some pretty cool looking instruments on that site!
  15.
Would you seriously gig an Ashbory? to me it's a studio instrument only. can you imagine the assembled zombie and vampire hordes of Rattlin Bone with me playing a tiny blue Ashbory
Paint it black and add some dripping red paint and you'll be fine!
  16. Now I'm home I can add some examples: Red Sparowes: God Is An Astronaut: Zombi: Earth: and ANTA:
  17.
HOWEVER, the mastering is atrocious. Just like Californication it's overly compressed and distorted throughout. Why spend so much money producing an album only to ruin it during the mastering process. sigh.
I went to a talk by Stefan Betke (Pole, now works mainly as a mastering engineer, for labels including Mute) back in May and he was asked what he thought of the rise in overly loud and compressed mastering, such as Death Magnetic. His response was something like "it's how the public want to hear music, apparently. It started with European dance music, mainly French, and then moved to rock/metal. Producers seemed to get in to a volume war with each other to the detriment of the final product. Sometimes the recording artist will ask for the mastering to be re-done but a lot of the time they have no input" He personally thought maxing everything at the final stage was pointless and refuses to do it.
  18. If you mean stuff written to be instrumental, rather than a song with the vocals stripped out, then anything by: Red Sparowes God Is An Astronaut Zombi Earth I also highly recommend joegarcia's band ANTA
  19.
Love the chrome Jazz Bass!
think you're in for a shock...
  20. £30 (highest bid when I looked) ain't too bad for a quality cable. £60 is what they cost new, which is twice as much as I'd pay.
  21. CCR Awesome bass lines and is that a modded Fender P?
  22. A Sunn 300T and a couple of 2x15" cabs. Bass wise? A nice EB-3 would do or a black Ric that I liked to play... Like this one: But I also have a urge to have some monstrous 18" folder horn cabs...
  23.
Will that bridge cover fit over a Badass II bridge?
I doubt it. The bridge cover I have comes nowhere near to fitting.
  24.
Opinions opinions now! (Sheehan fan alert)
I was assuming he'd bolded the wrong names...
  25.
Thanks will pick one up but just to confirm it's the 3113 that's the 15V model right?
That's the one I got with my VT2
