1.
In the first post I mentioned this was the second one I had done. The other one has a maple fretboard
I was going to say I preferred the maple fretboard one, but I wasn't quite sure it was yours. Both stunning looking basses though!
 2. NICE! You've done a great job! If it had a maple fretboard it'd be perfect!
 3. Got to try my new set up last night at a decent volume. Here it is on top of my old Laney 4x10: I changed the red piping for some yellow to match the head better. The amount of low end this tiny cab throws out is amazing! The sound is really clear too, I haven't decided whether I'll use my Sansamp BDDI with it yet. With the BDDI it sounds a bit thin and rattley, without it's a bit too clean. I need a bit more tweaking time. Arty iPhone image:
 4.
there were a couple of guys mentioned in this thread that may still do it: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=9776&st=0
Thanks, I did try searching for something like that..
 5.
I would like to compare exactly how good his necks are in relation to the other guys out there doing it.
Talking of this kind of thing, who else out there does this? I'm looking for someone to coat the board of the Warwick neck I defretted. I've been in touch with Sims and was looking for others to get quotes from...
 6. That is beautiful!!! I kinda agree that it doesn't fit with Maiden's image though
 7.
Let's hear it for the 'True Bypass' mod... That's next on my list.
I've been meaning to do this mod, just haven't gotten around to it. My pedal is really still a work in progress as I'm sure there's still chance for me to kill it, like my other modded pedals...

 9. I joined a band after a 3 or 4 year break. Have only played one gig but I'm really enjoying playing in a band again, so I'm happy.
 10.
Not come across them before. Big range of components there but some of their components are twice the price of bitsbox unless you are buying 10 at a time. I'd perhaps use them for the more obscure components that bitsbox don't supply.
I used them when you had to order from the US, even with shipping they worked out cheaper than buying from UK suppliers. I did order 20+ of each component at a time though. Plus they send you a, telephone directory sized, catalogue each year for free. Which helps to quickly find part numbers.
 11. Not really my thing, but I can't deny it's a stunning looking bass!

E-ay for the more obscure stuff. http://vibe-o-tronic.co.uk/ usually has some good stuff selected for guitar pedals too but it's pricy.
I used Mouser Electronics, but before they had a UK presence...
 13.
Am I alone in thinking that in the first pic the figuring on the top bout of the bass looks like a dark haired girl sitting on a rock with the already discussed sea/sunset behind her? Regardless, that figuring is amazing.
I was thinking more like a mermaid.

 15.
Hod you take the circuit board out? As it is held in by both input and output jacks and the power supply jack. Thanks in Advance.
Undo the input and output jacks using pliers to undo the "nut". The power supply just butts up against the enclosure, it's not attached IIRC.

 20.
They're touring at the moment - I'm seeing them in London on the 25th of this month.
The closest one I can conceivably get to is Derby! Although I'd love to go to ATP again...
