1. Recently got an Ashdown Dual Band Compressor from the marketplace here. It was a great price. After a bit of tweaking to get a good setting I love the thing!
 2.
Hey, you know, they're running a business. It all depends on who they want to cater for. When I see someone with a £5,000 watch when a £50 watch will do, with a £200,000 car when a £20,000 car will do, with a £200 handbag when a £20 handbag will do, or with a £12,000 bass when a £1,200 bass will do, I think one thing. And that thing is "bell end".
But what if you earned £250,000 a year, not £25,000 or £1,000,000 a year, not £45,000? It's all relative really. I'd not buy a Fodera because I don't like how they look.
 3. Almost tempting to bid a tenner and then go an ruin the party, for them, by playing a noise/drone/sludge set.
 4. Does he not use different tunings then? I'm not a Muse fan so I pay no attention to them...
 5. I have flats on my P, straight into the amp (old Peavey Mk III) it sounds a little flat. But through my Ashdown compressor and Sansamp BDDI (then straight into the poweramp stage) it sounds fantastic.
 6.
Do these music shops enforce the banned songs list? Anyone been asked to leave?

they should..!!!
In the late 80s/ early 90s I witnessed the crazy guitar guy in Birmingham's Musical Exchanges escort people out the guitar section, for playing Stairway To Heaven, and into the music theory books section, sit them down with a book and told them not to return until they'd learned something useful. He'd them test them if the did walk back in.
 7. Cheers for all the shots.
 8. I like the white too. I recently started a refin on my Dean. Original plan was to send to body to my artist mate in Australia to paint, but that would have cost about £150 in shipping alone. So I decided on matt black. Went from this: to this: to this: Still needs a bit of sanding back and a few more coats.
 9.
What happened to your Blowtorch?
I got it used, a previous owner had removed the graphics.
Sorry if I've missed this earlier on, but... please explain the heavily modded Crybaby!
Clockwise from top right switch: Gain boost Sweep width Sweep width I/O Mid boost Guitar/Bass switch (a little extreme at the moment) Treble boost I'm not done playing with component values as some mods are too much and others aren't enough.
 10. Got a new case for my little set up. Still experimenting with signal path and positioning. Next purchase is a Dunlop DC Brick.
 11. I'm about to replace the Steve Harris Sig strings on my P. They're a little dull, but if you want them send me a PM. Also got a crappy BBOT bridge you can have. Oh and strap buttons.
 12.
Isn't it 19 now?
Wasn't sure, hence the "about".
 13.
THE CHAIN FFS people.
But only on about 17 Sundays a year...
 14. My Trace Elliot Quad Chorus needs replacing, as it sounds like a police siren when it's off. I'm currently thinking about getting a Digitech Bass Multi Chorus, they're pretty cheap but sound really nice.
 15.
Haha me too. I ordered two pedals from him a couple of years back when the dollar was weak and I've been waiting for their currency to crash ever since so I can order more.
I have a, slowly growing, list of pedals I want and I'm waiting for the exchange rate to become more favourable.
 16.
Robot Factory Meatwad, a Lovetone Meatball clone, great filter. Mine has a couple of extra switches compared to the stock model, it looks like a robot hedgehog. The volume pedal on the far right is attached to the Meatwad as an expression pedal.
Ta. I must never visit that website again...
 17.
Made a couple of changes this week, here's what I've ended up with:
What's the blue one on the left? Pedals with loads of switches always interest me...
 18. Finally tracked down the image: http://www.bassemporium.com/item.php?sku=0131810340
 19. The advertiser also changed the image just before the whole ad disappeared.
 20. I was only 6 at the time, but a few days ago my dad was telling me about the day he bought his brands new coral pink '62 P for £150. Unfortunately he sold it 10 years later, when I was born... stupid man.
 21.
Good shout! I'd never heard of this one, looks about perfect, thanks!
They're great! It's been a while since I heard the one in my Aria as all the electrics are shot. But I remember it being pretty beefy, but clear.
 22. I have no idea why, but I actually like that!
