  1. Yes, it’s very picky about usb leads to use the editor but, weirdly, not as an audio interface.
  2. https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/model-15-modular-synthesizer/id1041465860
  3. Great rescue of the lovely looking bass!
  4. Wilkinson do them too: https://www.jhs.co.uk/collections/wilkinson/products/wilkinson-platinum-series-bass-pickup-single-double-coil
  5. Change the bridge and scratchplate and get shot of the pickup cover and I reckon it'd be ok...
  6. 2005 maybe... He was a total tosser, to be honest.
  7. I once watched Lars spend 2 hour swearing at his sound guy during a soundcheck, thus using up all three band's soundcheck time. My band opened with the Bristol PA company's main man, the legendary Paul Jocelyn, sorting things out during our first song.
  8. Tim Burgess had a listening party last night for Beautiful Garbage. https://timstwitterlisteningparty.com/pages/replay/feed_964.html
  9. Listened to the new Emma Ruth Rundle album earlier. It's very good, but very mellow. It's made me want to listen to something a little more lively:
  10. Starting the morning with some New Age Steppers:
  11. The two best purchases of 2021: The Status necked fretless: So easy to play and sounds great. and the recently purchased Nux MLD pre+DI: For just over £100 it's a fantastic bit of kit. I mainly bought it so I could tame the mids of my Aria SB B&G (the EQ on the CTM-300 is rather limited), hence the mid cut in the image. But also great to plug an iPod into, switch the IR in, and noodle along to stuff via headphones. Whilst the drive is very basic and a little heavy handed, blended out a bit it's quite useable.
  12. I prefer Down On the Upside to King Animal. Although Rowing is better than anything off DOtU...
  13. A bit of Swedish Psych courtesy of Nova Express:
  14. I thought it was to give some sort of protection to stop the strings grinding against the machineheads and bridge.
  15. An octave and a really nasty fuzz gets quite a lot of the way there. I have a Devi Ever Soda Meiser that gets that harsh square wave sound quite nicely.
  16. Now I've figured out the IR loader. The files weren't quite right, but NUX's file converter app sorts that out. This is a very cool pedal for not a lot of money...
  17. I've just got one of these this morning. I had trouble with the pedal being recognised by NUX's own software. Running a Mac on Big Sur the System Profiler could see the pedal and Logic could also use it. After rebooting the pedal and laptop the third micro B USB cable I tried worked. But the editor crashes when I try to load my own IR file... But from 30 mins use I can see this pedal being bloody good! Hopefully I can figure out how to the IR loader working...
  18. Yeah, Brum O2 Academy is really hit and miss, sound wise...
  19. But not for the price point Laney aim for.
