4. So after a quick trip to IKEA NDD happened. The mixer is plugged into an audio interface on the other desk that's behind me. I also discovered there's a modular synth shop near IKEA in Cardiff, so popped over for a look and to get some more patch leads.
5. I'm slowly getting to grips with it. Additive synthesis isn't something I've used much before, so it's a whole new world. The 0-Coast is capable of making some lovely sounds, but currently takes some coaxing. I think the biggest oddity of the synth is there's no filter. But I got this to complement the Mother 32. My plan is that the Mother 32 will pretty much be a self contained synth, whereas the 0-Coast will be the initial sound source for a second unit and I'll acquire some more modules as time goes on. Currently thinking about the following: Make Noise Maths Mutable Instruments Tides Deopfer filter of some sort. The Plankton Ants looks like an interesting synth. Shame it's not eurorackable...
6. To complement the lovely smooth tones of the Moog, I ordered a Make Noise 0-Coast. I also got a BeatStep Pro to act as a controller, it's a pretty cool piece of kit. the only downside is I need a bigger desk!! Now just need the free time to use it all...
7.
Funnily enough, I'd looked earlier in the week and they said they had the Mother-32 in Bristol, and I was in there Saturday and couldn't find it anywhere, now I know why!
They didn't have one on display, just in the storeroom... helpfully.
8. So I got myself a couple of new toys today from PMT in Brizzle... The onboard sequencer will take a little bit of time to get my head around. But Moog filters are just wonderful...
9. I've mentioned this before: I briefly owned a Trace Elliot MP11 that was part of one of John Enwhistle's touring rigs. Sent it in to a shop to be serviced/repaired and the shop went bust and the MP11 disappeared.

11. you have Confederate flags and nooses???? Think you need to drop that asap...
12. At least you went for the more tasteful of the flip colours. Imagine a bass like this:
13. I just imagine you rolling up to a gig in one of these:
14.
Isn't the Steve Harris pickup an SPB-3?
Nope, it's the SPB-4. http://www.seymourduncan.com/pickup/steve-harris-p-bass
15. 2 builds! Lovely! I have to say it's mainly your build threads that keep me on this site...
16.
but I came across this word: Psilos which means bare/smooth/uncovered in ancient Greek.
I was going to make a suggestion, but it's nowhere near as good as that. So I won't bother.
17.
It should also be pointed out that while there are some deals offered by lenders only via brokers, there are also some deals offered only direct to borrowers and not through brokers. Using a mortgage adviser is far more about them knowing the market than an assurance that they can find the lowest rates - there are estimated to be about 6,000 different mortgage deals and where they earn their money is knowing which lenders are best suited to what you need (for instance who won't lend if you are buying a flat over a shop, who is more likely to say yes if you have a less than stellar credit rating, etc). Using the wrong adviser may not save you any money if they aren't looking at the right products...
or, selling you a completely inappropriate product because they get the best commission from it. As the FA did to me when buying my first house.
18. Hey Grangur, did you have any luck sorting this out? I've found a spare MEC 100k pot you can have, if you need it.
19.
Not sure about red tortoise pickguard on surf green.Looks like Jimmy Hendrix had one.
I think it's a great combo. (not my guitar)
20. Surf Green red tort plate
21. I've got one of Aaron Armstrong's pickups in my SB Elite. As far as I remember, when I was looking, Rautia is a direct copy of the originals. Aaron can make you a direct copy, or a beefier version. I just went for a direct copy and it's a great sounding pickup. There wasn't really any significant difference in cost. Both were around £110 last year.
