I agree. It should really be up to the pub/venue to do the advertising. They are paying us to play to tempt customers onto their premises. I have no problem Doing a faceache/myspace page to tell our friends when and where we are playing but that tends to happen as soon as we get confirmation. One of the pubs we play at started to moan about the turnout. Out of the 30 or so people in the pub 20 had turned up with us. He was not best happy when i pointed out that when i got feedback from one of the locals he was surprised there was a band on as he had not seen anything advertised in the pub. They want the customers they have to put the effort in to getting them. A mate of mine had a pub up in bradford and started doing live bands on a wed night. He would get a few posters off them and start advertising at least a month (where Poss) before the actual date. oddly he had good turnouts for visiting bands go figure?

shame i cannot get all of them working but it is all balanced a bit precariously and a bit of over keen bouncing on the stage would probably have it all on top of me. would be cool though. if anyone decided to donate either a TE 500 or 400 head as a xmas prezzie i would use it gently.....

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows read by Stephen Fry. I am forced to listen to someone else read as the voice in my head is boring and i fall asleep when i try to read anything.

Jesus, super jelous now.....when can i get dancing sluts on stage with me. You know you have made it when you have a plethora of dancing sluts did you not offer to defluff the costumes for them? -
We play it in our trio, i double the riff apart from during the solo where i double the low riff only. well thats how we do it rightly or wrongly. Oh and fast, it has to be fast. We did it once where the drummer brought us in way too slow and we ended up beating him with his own sticks, slow is shyte.

I am looking out for a Yam myself. The Glam rock band i play with from time to time one of the guys has one and I have played with it a bit and like it a lot. lots of low end punch through my trace rig and 1/5 of the weight of my Thunderbird not sure what model it was, it was light and woody
Although disqualified on a technicality of it being a tuner, not an effects pedal.
I would argue the toss on this statement. If you don't use it when you play your bass will be out of tune and 'effect' your performance

I have only had 2 bad experiences with ebay and i have bought alot! i bought a camera memory card which turned out to be a bad copy. got my money back and kept the card. it worked but was not the 8gb as advertised, it was only 2. won a pc from a lad in swindon who wanted immediate payment, apparently he had been messed about. did this and never recieved anything. thought i was covered through paypal but turned out out of the £560 i paid i would only see 150 of it back. 4 years later i have given up. Now when buying anything for a large amount of cash i pay with my credit card or cash on pickup. Infact shyte to the bad feedback. knock on his door and give him some personal feedback

I got badgered into learning to play at the back end of 2005 as the lads bassplayer at the time was an 'all the gear and no idea' kinda player. Can teach old dog new tricks
Hey guy's, Here is one that a fan of one of my bands(The Alter Boys) made and sent to us a while ago. It's on youtube so here is the link, oh yeah it's the cd's audio (and not much focus on the bass player lol) but I think the vid is pretty cool anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5M_FUeJsDY8 Thanks for viewing! Craig
I have a normally don't like bands with keyboards in (trauma as a child) but i really like this

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ has bass on and guitar pro. but they are still tabs and cannot be trusted. some are ok for an idea but some on the otherhand sound like the writer has never herd the song.
