*** PRICE DROP £1,100 *** Hello, all. Here we have a virtually new Fender American Professional II Precision V. Lovely bass, excellent condition (can't find a mark on it). I very recently bought this new from GAK, but an unexpected change in circumstances means I'm reluctantly moving it on. You can look these up online, and this really is pretty much as you'd find it new out of the box, with perhaps very small signs of having been played but absolutely no dents, chips, dings or marks of any kind. I've lowered the action to personal taste, but that's all. Everything works perfectly as it should. It comes with the original hard case & all case candy. Pick up from Bath (you're welcome to come & try it), or I'm often up in Hertfordshire & am willing to deliver anywhere between the two, and as I like driving I'll deliver within 100 miles of Bath for free. I won't post unless I have absolutely no option, & I won't send overseas.

Hey, all. A newbie to this thread but not to bassism, having played semi-pro for 40+ years. I've just bought a used 2019 BB435, meant as a back-up, and my god! It seriously blows my F****r AmPro II Precision V out of the water. So much so that I'm going to sell the F****r (the asterisks can mean whatever you like there!) and get another BB435. Only wish I'd done it sooner.

Spector NS Pulse 5, Cinder Red *** On hold *** - *SOLD*

Hello, all. Here we have a Spector NS Pulse 5 in Cinder Red. Lovely bass, excellent condition (can't find a mark on it). I recently traded another bass for this and although it's superb, it doesn't really fit with my style of playing so I'm moving it on. So - swamp ash body, bolt on roasted maple neck, macassar ebony fingerboard, what's not to like?! It sounds immense & superb, able to cut through any mix. 35" scale so the low B is pretty tight. New strings fitted (Ernie Ball cobalts (45-100), with a D'Addario 120 B string, new battery. Pick up from Bath, or I'm often up in Hertfordshire & am willing to deliver anywhere between the two, and as I like driving I'll deliver within 100 miles of Bath for free. I won't post unless I have absolutely no option, & I won't send overseas. -

Up for sale my Cort GB Modern 5-string, pretty much mint condition and as factory except for the addition of Schaller straplocks. This really is a superb bass & worth much more, I think, than the list (RRP) price of around £1,200. But there are some good bargains to be have around UK music shops, hence the very low asking price for this, although you'd not tell the difference between this & new. Spec-wise it's as I would have asked for if I got someone to make a bass for me - Nordstrand pickups, Babicz FCH bridge, 35" scale, roasted maple neck, active/passive pull/push knob, Hipshot ultralight tuners, etc. Because of these top-end features you can get just about any sound you want out of this, and the low B is very tight & useable. It looks beautiful, both naturally & on stage. I've only had this for a few months, bought new from Bass Direct, but I'm going for a Fender Precision 5'er - Precisions seem to suit me better than jazz-style basses & I really should have learned by now. Very light at 8.5 lb. Pick up from Bath, or I'm often up in Hertfordshire & am willing to deliver anywhere between the two, and as I like driving I'll deliver within 100 miles of Bath for free. I won't post unless I have absolutely no option, & I won't send overseas.

Up for sale my Letts 5-string fretless. Currently strung with D'Addario nylon wound strings, it's a lovely bass, a delight to play. I only need one fretless & my Carvin wins! Comes with Schaller straplocks fitted. I really know very little about Letts basses, so I have no idea of the model, etc, but from the web it looks like a custom 5, perhaps someone could enlighten us? Very smooth to play, I think it's quite light, very sorry to see it go but needs must! Pick up from Bath, or I'm often up in Hertfordshire & am willing to deliver anywhere between the two, and as I like driving I'll deliver within 100 miles of Bath for free. I won't post unless I have absolutely no option, & I won't send overseas.

Here for sale my Fender Troy Sanders signature Precision. As stock except for added Schaller straplocks & Babicz FCH bridge, which I can swap back to the original if required. There's a lot about this bass on the web, but it's an excellent bass for all genres, not just metal (I've used it in everything from rock to country!). Looks superb on stage (always gets comments), great sounds either passive (flick of a switch) or with the 18V active circuit. I have the action low, but the truss rod works fine so you can adjust to your liking. No cosmetic issues that I can see, it's just about mint. Very comfortable neck, satin finish which makes it easy to move around. No case, etc. Pick up from Bath, or I'm often up in Hertfordshire & am willing to deliver anywhere between the two, and as I like driving I'll deliver within 100 miles of Bath for free. I won't post unless I have absolutely no option, & I won't send overseas. Best, Pete

Hey - up for sale my Orange Terror Bass Mk 2 500W bass head, with Orange carry case. Cosmetically in excellent condition, can't see a mark on it as it's never been gigged or taken out of the house. HOWEVER, the amp is not in great working order. The gain & volume pots are very scratchy (no idea why); you can get a good sound out of it, so it all works fine, but if you try to alter gain or volume, it can scratch out & produce a very poor sound. I'm sure that a good service will remedy this completely, and the price is low to reflect this. I would get this done myself but someone more electronically minded might be better at it! If, if you buy it, you find that it can't be fixed, I'll give you your money back, but I think it's unlikely to be beyond repair. Collection from or I'll deliver close to Bath, but I'm often up Stevenage way so can deliver anywhere on the way (M4, M25 west side, Herts, etc). Let me know if you have any questions.

It's a great bass for the price, I've found. Great bass & treble response, lovely matt neck, looks great & gets comments! The only very slight gripe I have about it is that the frequency response of the preamp is less wide than I'd like - that is, you can't boost or cut as much as I'd like. But as the core sound is so good this is a very minor gripe.

Brand new Sire MM V3 passive 5-string jazz bass, black satin finish. Bought from Andertons the other day but I immediately saw a Cort that I fancied. I'm asking WAY below the new price for this (I paid £349) for a hopefully quick sale. I always take the scratchplate off my jazzes but I'll put it back on. Plays really nicely, although I've not taken it out of the house or gigged it, etc, very lively tone. I've set the action fairly low. £120 collection from Bath, offers considered, etc. I'm willing to drive to deliver; I'm on the Isle of Wight via Lymington Fri-Sun this week so could drop off anywhere close to the route.

Up for sale my immaculate ESP LTD Deluxe Phoenix-1004, bought new by me about a year ago. Selling only as I've got a Fender Precision Troy Sanders which caters for my metal needs! There really isn't a mark that I can see on this, it's just about mint apart from the additional strap button I've added on the top horn to aid balance. Sounds absolutely immense with its EMGs, very nice to play with a very fast matt neck. Weight 9.57lb, 4.35kg. I'll include the strap as it's a really long one just for this bass. Schaller straplocks included. No case at all. Pick up from Bath, or I'm often up in Hertfordshire & am willing to deliver anywhere between the two, and as I like driving I'll deliver within 100 miles of Bath for free. I won't post unless I have absolutely no option, & I won't send overseas. Feel free to pop round & try it, I'm about a mile outside central Bath.

Good day all! Up for sale is my fairly recently purchased Fender Precision, American Professional II in Mercury, rosewood fingerboard. With original hard case as pictured with all original case candy. All original with no upgrades/alterations apart from Schaller straplocks. It's in pretty excellent condition, with no dings APART FROM an area on the upper side of the fingerboard where the lacquer has been dented. It's a small area, you can feel it & see it up close & I've attempted to photograph it, but it in no way affects sound or playability. It's got very low action & is a delight to play, the pickup beIng very lively & louder than any other Precision I've played. TTFN!

*** PRICE DROP TO £650 *** Hi, all. Up for sale a lovely condition Ibanez SRMS805, with upgrades as described below. I bought this off @Jellyfish, and I think it first came from @Kev via @Prime, & I think it's Kev's description of the upgrades which I attach below. I had one of the stock ones before (when it was called an SRFF805, I seem to remember), and although it was a great bass it was a bit dull & unresponsive to my ears, exactly due to the rather substandard Chinese Bartolinis and Ibanez electronics. So all that's fixed in this one and I can attest, having tried both, to the superb upgrade in sound. In all, you've got a £999 bass with almost £400 of upgrades, all for a bargain £750. The only upgrade I made was to replace the plastic knobs with rather nice metal ones, which adds some aesthetics! Condition-wise it's excellent, just a bit of buckle rash but nothing extraordinary. Low action, plays beautifully with no issues. I'm only selling as I'm not playing the sort of stuff that this fits, so it's a bit superfluous, but I love the sound, weight and the feel of the fanned frets. Collection from Bath, or meet up close to. If it goes for the asking price or thereabouts I'm more than happy personally delivering almost anywhere within a few hundred miles of Bath, I quite like making a day out of it! I would be willing to post, & to do so I'd take the neck off & pack it all well (if untidily, going by past experience of my packaging skills!). So here's the description of the upgrades, let me know if you need any further information. And you can always come round & try it out in Bath! "Up for sale I have a special bass, an Ibanez SRMS805 multiscale 5 string bass. This one has the Twilight finish with some lovely grain poplar burl. I bought this new last year and stripped out its Ibanez preamp and its seriously average chinese licensed Bartolini BH2 pickups out and installed US Classic Bass Soapbars and a 3 band Bartolini HR-5.2AP/918 preamp. Configuration has changed from stock to make this the ultimate tone machine and works as follows:- Volume - Push Pull Active/Passive Blend Treble Mids - Push Pull Frequency Selector Bass Toggle Switch 1 - Series/Coil Tap/Parallel Bridge Pickup Toggle Switch 2 - Series/Coil Tap/Parallel Neck Pickup If you've played a stock SRMS805 before, this one will play the same but tonally it really is an entirely different animal. Its fantastic and the array of different tones you can get from all the different coil arrangements is wonderful."

*** PRICE DROP £150 *** Good condition Ashdown, model as in the description, made in China. All fully working with no issues. It's a great EVO amp, with the bells & whistles associated with the EVO name - compressor, shape, drive, sub, etc, and a nice shiny front plate to show all these off. Very versatile & will certainly handle pub gigs & rehearsals with ease. £250 or near offer, collection from Bath but I will drive it a fair distance (say 90 miles max one way) to deliver/hand over at no charge. No postage as it's really too heavy. No flight case/cover.

Bass Monkey Precision bass, nice relic ON HOLD - *SOLD*
pajhartley posted a topic in Basses For Sale
Excellent example of @walshy's work, a black/maple P-bass, reliced as supplied. I actually got this as a trade from Paul for a Line 6 Helix, and was very pleased with the trade, but now this is surplus to requirements (I only use my '79 P-bass and a couple of LTDs now). So it's as pictured. As I remember (perhaps Paul could provide more detail) it's got a Bareknuckle pup, and has a Gotoh hi-mass bridge, not sure of the tuners but they're very precise & responsive. I've added Schaller straploks. I think it's good that it has the Bass Monkey logo, as opposed to a Fender decal. It plays & sounds superb - the Bareknuckle is nicely aggressive & responsive with a JJ Burnel feel to it, if I'm honest. So if you're after that Stranglers vibe ... I'm starting at £500 - a very low price for one of these, tbh, I think the price for these is usually > £1,000, but I'm aware of the current economic environment and although I'm not desperate to sell, I'd like this to go to someone who'd use it in anger! Collection from fairly central Bath, Somerset, and I'll deliver within 90 miles (thus avoiding coming into London!!) for nothing. Otherwise I can post, although I'd take the neck off & pack up that way. Viewings/auditions welcome.
