Sorry to drag this thread out from the grave... @mcnach just wondering how did you get on with this? Did you ever receive the neck and get a chance to play with it?

Hi all, I'm thinking of buying a second hand black Squier Affinity P/J bass and turning this into a project. I'd love to replace the Squier neck with a maple neck with maple fretboard and block inlays. Aware Allpaints do direct replacement but it's rather expensive at £450. Hi, Looking to join a Metalcore or similar band based in London. Current bands I listen to are Architects, The Devil Wears Prada, Northlane, Of Mice and Men, Born of Osiris etc. sort of bands. I've got gigging experience of about 5 years and currently a session bassist for my mates band. Looking to be fully involved with writing, gigging and maybe touring with a band of Metalcore genre! Currently own 4-string basses but thinking of getting a 5-string. Cheers!
