4.
My guitarists have decided
That's the thing with pet guitarists - give them an inch and they'll take a mile.
 5.
Ain't it just!! James was also a pleasure, and welcome to the family!
What a bloody bargain!
 6. Hi Aharon - I hope you don't mind me editing your photograph, but I had one of these myself and know how beautiful a bass it is. Deserves to be presented as well as it can be Edit - on second thoughts, I'll wait until you let me know it's cool to post this image for you. Just PM me and let me know.

 8. And it's sold, so cheers - that was quick!
 9.
I was so gutted to sell it as soon as I could I bought the same bass again, and I still have it!
I know the feeling, but I was delighted when I bought it from you. When my finances turn round again, I'll be buying another one - they are incredibly good basses.
 10.
Do you know, they're quite amazing these pics. If you look at them long enough, you can actually see a Fender bass guitar.
All I hope the photographs illustrate is the condition I try to keep my instruments in
 11. More to follow with the pup plate
 12. Many more to follow
 13. I bought this here on Basschat a while back and it's in as good a condition as when I first got it. The only difference between the bass you see and now is an added, genuine Fender chrome pup plate over the bridge. Of course, I'll add more pics to illustrate the extra gorgeousity. It plays stunningly well and sounds just as good with the American vintage Jazz pups that came as standard. It also now has a case, non-Fender and very large, but it does the job admirably. I'm basically looking to get back the £500 I paid for it + shipping. Unless you want to collect it in Glasgow for a tenner petrol money. So, effectively, it's coming with a free case Want a print? From a tenner, delivered and printed on archival quality, premium lustre paper.
 14.
Is that my old one?
The very one. I'll really miss it.
 15.
MB1. .....Right what ya selling next?.....Photos please!
1. USA Jazz in ebony with maple board and....a chrome East J-Retro-01 pre-amp installed, finished with a Fender pup plate. It look, sounds and plays awesome. 2. CIJ Jazz in white - '75 re-issue, also finished with a Fender pup plate. Absolutely gorgeous! Up soon
 16.
Y'know i enjoyed this pic so much that its now a screensaver on my Mac...hope thats ok Lys! Very good
Not at all - but please don't print it. If you want a print, they can be had for a miserly tenner for a 9 x 6, printed on archival quality paper and the quality is superb. Apart from not being paid, my biggest problem is when people print these, the quality is inevitably sh*t and then when others ask who done it - they answer with my name of course But, using it for screens, I'm flattered
 17.
Anyway, lovely bass - good luck with the sale.
Thanks - and it's now sold.
 18.
Talking to my mate who has the red face version and I have the black one, we both got different software.. (I think I got extra free maybe, where as he would have to pay for a download).
The major difference is that 1. Red UX2 comes with Gearbox, which must be used to record with and imprints the tone you selected on input. The only way to change your mind is to re-record. 2. Black UX2 comes with PodFarm, which operates as a standard VST plugin (or RTAS/AU)and so you can record a 'dry' signal (but still hearing the selected tone). This means you can route the dry recorded signal back through the plugin and change the tone as many times as you wish. The options on Gearbox and Podfarm are similar, but the recording versatility offered with the newer, black version are crucially important I'd say if given the choice. Also, don't be mislead by the likes of DV247 offering a money saving option by paying less for the Red UX2, but with the added benefit of a free download of PodFarm. The free download is for a standalone version and NOT the plugin.
 19. And it's now sold - cheers!
 20.
What area of Scotland do you live in?
Hi Ruairidh, I live near to Glasgow. Hope that helps.
 21. Well, the proposed purchaser has exercised their right to change their mind about this so a final stop before eBay. I'll take £500 for the bass - I've been advised of the reduced price of a new one - and if you want to arrange your own delivery or collect it in Glasgow for £10 petrol money then I'll happily sort that out. This is a superb bass in fantastic condition for the money!
 22.
. You won't find a better guy to deal with than Homer...
A gem of a guy! How the hell are you Al?
 23.
the neck pup is only a cover, the pup sits slightly below the scratchplate. now, lysdexia, the attitude is not meant to be slapped! andy
That's the answer I wanted to hear about the neck pup - so how would I make the cover flush with the rest of the scratch-plate? Take the lot off and get a custom plate made? And this bass was made for slapping - it's thunderous
