For sale RH 450 , very minor (1mm) nicks around edge of case, have to look very closely to see them, I only noticed it just now when looking close and inspecting for this post, so you wont see unless looking for it Rebel control foot switch, 1 small scrape on underside corner Gig bag , 1 of the 6 zips has lost its TC tag, 1 small tear, some signs of use Amp and controller in perfect functioning order I've not started a feedback thread, but have brought and sold basses on here, and know a few of the guys personally, so I am sure I can provide character reference if required Equipment is located in Claygate, nr Esher, Surrey Thanks for looking

This all seems a shame, the best cabs I ever played through where the Orange OBCs, but there to heavy to take to gigs week in week out Is everyone really saying, that those on here who rate these cabs would still do so even if the 210 was only a 1x10 ?
-
Yes, the one in the shop is most likely more than it would be privately, but its a good starting point I think i've a long quest now to look around, especially as at this price, it has to be played before purchase, but hey no rush Re: 70s, yes seen a few advertised, but nothing nearby as yet
This is disgraceful! Not only do you not want to avoid playing the same old chestnuts that everyone else does, you are actually looking to replicate it on purpose! A covers band tribute band!!
That was expected, I hope the OP understood you weren't completely trashing him Personal taste aside, these are some songs that I have played with more than one band recently, so I guess they can be assumed to be fairly standard covers, there are more but I cant think right now Sex on Fire Funky Music I predict a riot Son of a preacher man Heatwave Hard to handle Long train running Honky tonk woman Good times Superstition Mustang of course (although less lately)

Hi All Been back into playing for a fair few years now, and I've been round the houses with basses, and have come full circle back to really always preferring to pick up a P bass Therefore, i've decided id like to own an older P bass, most likely natural in look, but something that I can play and enjoy without worrying about it So therefore, not so vintage it should be cased, and not so mint that it can't be a work horse I want to invest the money into the bass, and see it as asset, if things go tight, so ideally I like to buy something that is correctly priced, not looking to make or lose to much if I had to pass it on So, if anyone with a bit of experience could help pass comment, id be really grateful, I know that any advise is simply to the best of your knowledge and their really is no exact science to this Perhaps something like this .... http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...981_P_bass.html although this particular one is most likely in to good a nick to make it a working bass, maybe not? Thanks for any thoughts

Most likely to do with crash cymbals at ear level in some cases

I prefer the "what song do you what to hear again" encore, rather than a pre arrangement contrived song or 2 I'm guilty of doing the later often, but don't really like it that way

Id like to try and revive this thread Im puzzled by these cabs after seeing the design Anyone got any more info or can review compare to standard cabs that we can relate it too ? Anyone gigging one in and around surrey ?
I thank fussy people like you who leave the mildly blemished bargains for people like me
I quite like the fact my main P has dings in it, I was stressed every time I took my spotless Ric out, it shouldn't be like that BTW, do people with new road worns worry about getting real dings
Before our last gig I had a bit of a discussion with one of our guitarists. I wanted the stage position next to the keys with the guitars together on the otherside. He wanted one guitar left and 1 right. We're a 6 piece singer drums bass keys guit 1 and guit 2. What do most bands with 2 guits do with their set-up? Where do you stand? Phil.
I prefer having the drummer to my right, even if i'm in forward of the kit when there is room, but it varies from band to band and often from gig to gig Take the humble bass players approach, blend in, shine with your playing, hold it together and let the others have centre stage, unless of course your also the front man I sometimes play in a band with 2 guitarists, they usually go wide, and argue who should go on the less cluttered side so they're more noticeable, although, they say its to do with pedal boards etc.

This has got me to listen to enjoy something, id not normally come across, cheers
What do you mean? I know there won't be Joe Jackson fans as such but people who maybe have seen the Concert i mentioned.
Im a fan, I just meant that to me at least he stands out as himself, great front man without being over the top, always a great band with music crosses a fair few styles, almost in a blockhead kind of way only different
-
Saw these cabinets for the first time in the flesh the other day, can they really deliver like the traditional 2 speakers in front cabs, such small boxes ?
-
Joe Jackson fan, yes, very unique

I bought one used, and sold it a year later, only lost £50, so it was worth it I always wanted one, but once I had it, I still reached for a Fender P, so I passed it on, but won't rule out owning one again in the future If you can afford to turn some cash into a used bass, then you'll get most if not all your dosh back should you wish to, just buy sensibly

Purely as a pop and rock song covers guy, I play them where they work nicely Sometimes they sound wrong compared to a fretted note, and other times they fit nicely Usually they work well when its one odd note in a pattern, but never for repeated 8ths or the like, there is no control over damping like you have on the fret board Low E of course has to be used often, A less often, D & G rarely Edit, they are handy if you wish to pick your nose during a song or tweak something
I went into Mansons with my bass today to try out amps and the tc electronic range caught my eye. The RH450 looked lovely but was out of my price range so i tried out the classic 450. I was blown away by the sound. I was playing through a TC 210 and it was very, very load. The amp seems briliant and with a great price. Any opinions on this? Also anyone have a better option for this price range? Cheers Mike
There are lots of other options, but one thing for sure is the TC gear will be right up there with all the other options whatever method you use to compare, and it certainly wont disappoint
hey guys, been doing some thinking recently - do i really need my ampeg SVT CL and SVT HLF610? They're bloody heavy and i don't actually think i have room for them in my flat!
Im sure at what ever level you are playing at you don't need it, plenty of options, TC rig being one of them Large ampeg rigs do look and sound cool however, if I wasn't moving my own gear, Id own one
