Traded my stingray a year or so ago, but I'm on the look out for a second hand one again. This will be the second time the process will have taken place.
I didn't know a Zac but I do remember Al. He worked for Trash. He was there a long time. People I worked with in the shop in Canterbury, Jim (from the rock n roll band, The Keytones), A guy called Max (drums and synths), Andy (prat), Big Mart (Boss). In the clothes bit, Laura, Sophie, Mog, and another stroppy girl with red hair.
Small world isn't it -
Music Mart and Trash. I worked there for a couple of years in the late 80s early 90s.
Do you remember a guy called Zac , think he had a PK50 Scooter? Think a big fella called Alan with a flat top , also worked there ? -

Muso wear ? I where the same clothes I wear when causal as I do when I gig, the type of gig might dictate if I pick shoes or trainers, whats muso wear ? -
Surely you attend a course with the confidence to pass it, nobody should be failing if the organisation has an entrance standard. This should be so if your study music, joinery, medicine or history, perhaps only some get firsts , but everyone should be passing if they are an excepted student.
Maybe its just a marmite thing??
Most things musically related are, except opinions on ........... -
Choose a sig bass or a std bass, your making statement with your choice and choice of colour etc, just like how we dress, even if we don't know what that statement is.

Weddings are more serious than 40th / 50th parties etc I find At a party , the buzz is already there and a lot of times the dance floor fills with people who will dance to anything But a wedding, it's going to be in the video they'll keep forever, the first dance etc, its all less laid back from a band perspective Last one I did was quite a serious occasion, first dance "stand by me" twice round on the bass intro, everyone filming, ok easy line, but still more pressure than a birthday party. For me though, cost alterations is more about how long before you play your set do have to set up the band, 1 hour or 4 etc

You have to be vary carefull seeking opinions on the internet, including on here, but you learn to gauge things and which members are inline with you or have technical knowledge etc. Often with gear we are just seeking a few to back up a decision we are ultimately going to make anyway I believe . Just my opinions at this present moment of course

If someone is paying then I think a back up is part of a good service

I use a LM2 into a 210 or 2x210 , when. Using the 2x210 it ain't much louder (or at least there would be no reason to dial it louder than one 210 would reach) but has seriously more punch. Not a very scientific explanation I know.
Who cares, bass is the most wonderful of instruments in a modern band setting, that's the reason to play it Sit back and support a song with a simple root note line with a few passing notes Drive the song , with a intricate fast up front solid line Either way your the main ingredient, but it's a best kept secret
Who cares, bass is the most wonderful of instruments in a modern band setting, that's the reason to play it Sit back and support a song with a simple root not line with a few passing notes Drive the song , with a intricate fast up front solid line Either way your the main ingredient, but it's a best kept secret
I once saw a Five Star tribute who were nowhere near as good as the real thing. I think they were called 5 Star Unleaded
I bet they managed their money better though

Perhaps you put the bass next to a designer handbag which you failed to spot

Ive certainly done a few gigs along those lines, and sometimes they can be fun.

Every musician, at least at the functions, weekend player level I operate at is very different, and what each band is trying to achieve is also very different musically and gig wise. I have played with guitarists who suit one thing very well, but you'd not invite them into a different setting etc. Main thing is does it work with all parties involved, if not you either change your goal to suit what each individual can do or you change personal, but you cant usually alter the players playing that much.

Very underrated band (though they did show up as the 10th or so greatest disco band in a documentary once. Of course Rod Temperton did make good, which is why some of "off the wall" sounds like heatwave with a different singer

Did a small festival and got moved higher up the bill than when we did the same one 2 years before , all excited , then our guitarists brand new black star rig failed, but all the songs where really built around him and his sounds , by the time he'd buggered around and we had improvised a song without him to allow him and the stage guys time , our slot was nearly over and the final songs where not the same. Feel for the Op, sometimes things just don't roll
"He's just a boy, that has lost his sights. He's a stranger, that prowls the night."
Ahh , I googled it, because it was killing me, I knew it but couldn't quite recall, so I leave it to someone who won't google. Green Alsatians last post is still the current question
Surely if you bought the item for £100 plus postage, there is no problem in re-advertising it at £100 plus postage?
This Although what it sells at maybe less if you don't get an initial bite from a buyer
